@✷ › k. jiwoo。 yoojung blinks a few times while staring at the alcoholic drink in her hand before taking a sip, looking at her best friend with a small smile. they've talked about this more than the girl could recount, but she doesn't mind either way, "of course i do!" she answers, nodding firmly to back up her words. "just because i'm telling you this because i want you to see something from another person's perspective so you have options to dwell on that isn't entirely your own." she reasons out, watching her best friend grab a drink of her own. her lips are pursed as she listens to her speak nodding slowly. "that may be true, but do you really think he doesn't like you that way when he spent the night with you on your birthday?" she asks, tilting her head with a curious gaze. "time is a fickle thing, but true affection for a person you love can remain if it's true enough."
@✷ › c. yoojung。 jiwoo eyes her best friend as she reaches out for another can, she contemplates whether to tell her to slow down knowing how much of a lightweight yoojung was. However, seeing the direction of where this conversation was going, perhaps it was easier if Yoojung didn’t remember half of it, or better, all, if she got too drunk. “do you really?” She questions. “Because you wouldn’t be telling me that if you did.”There’s a pause in between as she grabs another can of beer. “but years apart can change someone. years apart can change many things, including feelings. For all you know, maybe he doesn’t even like me the way he used too.” Another lie, because she knows it all too well, that friends don’t kiss and hold each other like they do.
@✷ › k. jiwoo。 the way her best friend was quick to deny her words was enough confirmation about her intuitions but decided to drop the teasing and just listen to her friend go one about her dilemma instead; wanting the girl to open up about what's been on her mind. "well... based on the stories you used to tell me about him and being around him in general, i would doubt if you said he wasn't." she responds, placing the piece of chicken she was holding down and instead finish the beer in her hands. "you know that i believe you do have your together, right?" she questions her best friend, reaching over to grab another can and popping it open, "it's just that you're trying to fight your feelings due to the predicament you're in; years apart can't define how you truly feel, chuu."
@✷ › c. yoojung。 “It’s not a date date!” jiwoo was quick to interject, funny how swift her reaction was when it came to the topic of her current, if you could call it ‘love life.’ She hates the fact that yoojung could read her like an open book, how her best friend knew more about herself than she actually did.. or perhaps it was just her wanting to be in self-denial, something she was actually good at, given her current predicament. “ Yeah, the food was good, the ambiance was nice and he’s always been a good company. “ she continued, brows furrowing at her words because even she knew how absurd it sounded to her. “ i do not love him.. no, not really. It’s been five year, yoo. i should have already gotten my back together.” But did she really? especially after spending the night with him, all huddle in his warm embrace where they held each other and shared kisses.
@✷ › k. jiwoo。 "i think im just not used to it still, yeah." she responds, taking another sip before taking another bite into the chicken to ease the bitterness of the drink. yoojung has always wondered how her friend managed to build up such a tolerance despite knowing how strict her parents were. she pursed her lips to hide the little laugh attempting to escape her lips at the girl's reaction, obviously caught off guard at the question. "so it is a date." she confirms, nodding slowly and takes a long sip from the can. "i'm guessing you enjoyed, right? i mean, it's him we're talking about here. call it... my instinct but it seems like you still love him." she says gently, looking at her friend with a sheepish smile; it was obvious that her friend still has /some/ sort of attraction to the subject of their conversation.
@✷ › c. yoojung。 “… and i would rather be drunk then get interviewed!” jiwoo cuts in happily, brows furrowing just the slightest as she took a sip from her can. “i mean.. you don’t tolerate it, you just.. enjoy it. It’s not that bad babe.” It was seemingly funny how despite brought up in a terribly strict family, for most part of her life, being controlled by parents who didn’t give two hoots about anything but results how jiwoo turned out to be much wilder than anyone would have expected, including running away from the country despite her family’s reluctance. “… uh..” an awkward laughter bubbles from within her wondering how yoojung managed to find out about the supposed ‘date’. Then again, this was yoojung, her twin from a different set of parents, nothing ever goes unnoticed by her. “ i mean.. he bought me flowers.. and chocolates.. we went on this really nice.. dat.. dinner.” jiwoo pauses, fingers lingering on the can of beer as she taps the side absentmindedly. “… just like the old times.. just.. “ she whispers the last part out with a shake of her head, boy, does she misses juyeon so much at the mere thought of him.
@✷ › k. jiwoo。 as much as yoojung loves her down time alone, her excitement for that day where she and jiwoo could catch up and talk about whatever they want over food is always something to look forward too. "i would rather be interviewed on the spot than be seen drunk in public" she muses, making herself comfortable in her spot as she grabs the can from the other girl, taking a sip and scrunching up her nose. "h how do you tolerate the taste of this—" she questions back, placing the drink next to her and grabs a chicken from the box to take a bite. "so how was your birthday celebration with,,, you know who?"
@✷ › c. yoojung。 days for just the two of them were jiwoo’s most favourite, it has always been their thing, something was oddly comforting about having weekly meals with her best friend, a tradition they had since they were kids, whether rain or shine, there wasn’t anything that could deter them. and today wasn’t anything different, with the box of chicken set between them, jiwoo was ready to dig in. “because it’s my birthday! “ she chirps, already taking a sip of her opened can of beer. “Besides we’re at home and in your room, if you ever flop on the floor at least i won’t have to carry you.” Setting her can on the floor just beside her, jiwoo opens a can for yoojung handing it to the other girl.

yoojung quietly bids the delivery person a goodbye and thanks as she closes the door with her hips, hands both occupied with the chicken she had ordered along with cans of beer for her and jiwoo. she walks back into her room where her friend was waiting. "i got the food now! m" she says upon entering, waving the meal with a big smile. she sits down on the floor and in front of the girl. "how did you manage to convince me to drink?" she muses, opening up the plastic bag and offers jiwoo the cold drink. "you know how bad my tolerance is."
