@✸ › wonyoung。@✶ › jeonghan。 Somehow, her heart calmed down a bit hearing her siblings’ remarks – perhaps it’s the lack of the looming feeling of being suddenly reprimanded for smiling a bit too widely than Wonyoung or raising her voice loud enough to overpower Jeonghan’s. And for millisecond, she genuinely smiles, then lets it contort into a smirk. “Of course, they’d let you bring your car. Even if you didn’t ask for it, I’m sure they’d still insist.” The moment they arrived by their vehicle, Sooyoung stood by the door to the backseat, used to the fact that her little sister’s usually the one riding shotgun.

"ah, fashionably late as always," he says lightly. "is it difficult to believe that we were both looking forward to this meal together?" at the mention of the cab, jeonghan turns to wonyoung. "we don't have to. i can drive us. they were kind enough to let me bring my own car to the island." he smiles, before gesturing toward his vehicle with a movement of his arm. "shall we?"

"oppaaa, hello! don't worry, i just got here as well heh." not entirely a lie. she did just happen to arrive at the bridge, but she'd left their house at least an hour ago. how else would she have gotten presents?
almost immediately, the familiar blare of her sister's voice cuts through, and wonyoung is quick to spy her from afar. "ahh, the birthday girl is here! hello eonni, we were just both excited to see you again." she greets her sister with a wide grin, hands hidden behind her back as well as the little box she was concealing. she could hear her heartbeat in her ears. "since we're all here, lets go get us a cab?"
@✸ › wonyoung。@✶ › jeonghan。 Sooyoung pretends she did not have a meltdown moments before she finally dragged herself out and towards the meeting place. There he immediately sees her two siblings who seemed to have started a conversation already. She wouldn’t blame them though, she’s well aware that she /definitely/ made them wait. The moment her proximity to her siblings had increased, she yelled – that was her, or how she wants them to believe her to be like: boisterous and hyper. “Ya! Why are you both here so early? Didn’t think the two of you would be this excited, huh.” Perhaps the princess might’ve amped it up a little, but it was to drown the heavy pounding of her heart.
@✸ › wonyoung。@✷ › sooyoung。 when was the last time jeonghan has had a meal with his sisters? he unfortunately cannot think of a specific time now, what with everything becoming more of a blur these days (and isn't that dangerous, losing track of one's own life?). it's ironic how he feels more nervous for this meal than the formal events he's been to—at least there, he knows how to act, but with his sisters... ah, perhaps he might have forgotten. how long has it been since he's been a brother to them?
he arrives at the agreed place a little early, but he sees wonyoung from the distance almost immediately. a smile easily finds its way to his lips—a little more genuine than he's used to by now, a little softer than what he often shows—and he walks toward her, waving a hand. "wonyoung-ah, did i make you wait for long?"
making taehyun stay in their house while she goes to meet her siblings took surprisingly less convincing than she'd expected. she peers over from the mouth of the bridge into the empty road to her left, lower lip caught in between her teeth as she rocks herself back and forth in anticipation. she checks her phone once more, giggling to herself at the notification of her sister liking her post. moments like these were rare with her siblings – the eating together, celebrating, hanging out part that was, apparently, the norm for most other people with siblings. even now, she's elated that her sister has at least a few hours to spare, decidedly enough for her to savor their brief moment together and wish her a happy birthday. but she'll digress; perhaps being in this island would give them more excuses to have meals together.
