kahei sat in silence for a while. "can we really trust what she said?" she asked, after that brief pause. "i mean, someone could have stolen her phone," she tried to reason. kahei sighed, looking away from minjeong. "it's all just so confusing. if, let's say, it really is a knife, where could it be?"

"but taeyeon was killed by a knife, she told us in the chat." she added before looking at her, "the wrench is in out of place."

kahei thought about minjeong's words. "let's still get you seated first," she decided, guiding the younger girl to one of the reading chairs. "a knife?" she repeated, still in thought. "i heard some of them say, a bloodied wrench was found in the bedroom, though. it isn't sharp, but..." she trailed off, stuck between the two pieces of seemingly contradicting evidence.

"i'm fine. i'm good." she said as the little throbbing on her head was gone before looking at kahei, "sharp object... do you think taeyeon and boddy was killed by a knife?" she looked back at the other female.

"autopsy report? you mean to tell me we're calling the police?" jongin swallowed. his demeanor turned panicked and he looked around the room. "we-- we can't do that-"

the younger girl's sudden movement surprised kahei, and by reflex, she reached out, hoping to support minjeong. yet, her hands stopped shy of minjeong's body, seeing that minjeong had supported herself onto the shelf. "are you okay, miss?" she asked, quietly. "do you want to sit down? we can move away from the... body, if you'd like."

"how do we know that? we'd have to wait for the autopsy report to know what kind of drugs were in his system?" Dohyun examined the man's feet.

"sharp object..." minjeong looked at kahei before she remembers something in isde her mind and holds her head a bit, she must have forgotten to drink meds before she sleep. minjeong hold onto the shelf while still holding her head as it throbs a bit.

"Well we know he didn't die by cyanide poisoning so what does it matter if i bought some, mr. reporter man?" He scoffed and then looked back at the body. he sighed and waved his hand, "please. someone clean him up. it's bad for the stomach."

kahei slipped away from the body, as the crowd began to form and the incessant chattering started again. it was just like at the dinner party, conversations that kahei didn't want to be a part of. hearing the voice of the female guest in the midst of all the talking, she nodded. "yeah. someone had to do it," she said. "it was done by a sharp object," she said, repeating jongin's conclusion.

"brought cyanide? tell us more?" He repeats in a mumble as he scrawls jongin's words down. "That's a great headline, mr boddys bloody bludgeoned body-" He came to closer to the body to look at it in more detail.

jongin lofted his head and stuck his tongue out at dohyun before he looked back at the body, "better blunt than cut up if you ask me--" he groaned, "oh so now you want to have respect for him? whose gonna refund me that cyanide i bought?" he grumbled and then leaned back against the wall, trying not to think of the body and all its insides.

she walks behind them, looking at what they are doing. she crossed her arms and looked at them, "you undress mr. boddy?"

"...Or he had a screw loose, y'know maybe the wrench is symbolic." Dohyun pointed out.

“Jongin! Show some respect-“ he flinched and examined the head. “Someone could very well just be throwing us off and placing the wrench there…” He chuckled at dohyun’s words before eying jongin. “Definitely not.”

"Well but are there any hits anywhere else? Maybe his head or something?" the author asked. his foot nudged at the head of the corpse as if poking a tree stump.

"those really don't?" his voice was shaky. "maybe someone was trying to cover something up." he asked questionably keeping his distance from the body.

"Something sharp? That's definitely not any of us." Dohyun muttered whilst jotting notes down and drawing the body in his notepad.

“I’m going to throw up…” he mumbled crouching down to get a better look at the rigid marks decorating the man’s body. It was art. The way such a powerful man was now but a rotting corpse, helpless… defensive. “I found a bloody wrench in the master bedroom. It seemed like someone was trying to hide it… Do these look like wrench marks…????”

jongin gagged at the sight, but held it in. he shut his eyes and then took a heavy breath, "Well. he was killed with something sharp, i suppose."

After examining the body, you find rigid marks, idicating a sharp object was used against him.

kahei glanced at the three men, standing around the body, gawking. what did she expect, with two of them being "esteemed guests"? there was no way either of the two would be getting their smooth, shiny hands dirty like this anytime soon. with a sigh, she slipped past jongin and yunhyeong and knelt down again. silently, she ed the white shirt on her (former) employer's body, her fingers stained with the same red that dyed a good part of the shirt. when all the buttons had been undone, she spread open the shirt, the bloody wound in full display for all to see.

jongin stared at the body with tepid disgust. why was he looking at a dead guy's body? sure, he'd wanted to write about the dead guy's family and he'd plotted a whole murder and everything to get what he wanted. but not like this. whoever had gotten to it first was a jerk. they didn't even give him a chance. he had everything ready and now it was going to waste. all those macaron ingredients and poison wasn't cheap. he sighed and knelt next to the body, examining it once, twice, a wrinkle in his nose as he looked at the others in the room, "i can't tell with his clothes on. should we undress him?"

The maid was tired of the constant back and forth and he wanted out of this supposedly haunted mansion as soon as possible- possibly with his paycheck , PTO and severance pay.. Peeking his head in, he searched for Boddy’s dead body, grimacing before he caught sight of it. “….”

yunhyeong looked around the library a shiver being sent down his spine. of course he had to be stuck in the room with the dead body of the manor owner and even worse on a team with someone he was sure hated him. looking around. "does anyone want to check the body for wounds?" he pointed, a bit hesitant of wanting to go towards it. he looked around at the books that had been thrown from the shelves, seeing if any of them had an significance.

kahei hadn't bothered waiting for the rest of the team, heading to the study by herself. she didn't even know if she could trust the three men in her team. well, she knew she couldn't trust at least one of them, that was for sure. walking into the library, she looked around the place that wasn't too familiar to her, despite having worked at the manor for a while. her eyes naturally gravitated to to the sculpture on the floor. it had always been inanimate, but seeing it on the floor, broken into pieces, it looked more lifeless than ever. kahei kneeled down, staring at the pieces.

Your team had decided to stay back and investigate the room, Boddy was obviously dragged in here and planted in this room, and there is wound marks over the body indicating a struggle. With little is known you are given some time to investigate the library, a few books thrown from the shelves and a sculpture knocked over and shattered all over the floor.
