@⋆ hyunjin ᵛᶦᵖᵉʳ sojdosjd i imagine they would get along jUST FINE but hyunjin would probably be a bit tough to crack for a little while, which is perfectly fine. chris is patient if not persistent heh c: maybe we could do a little scene where, during their mission, they very briefly talk about family. maybe chris brings it up casually like "you got any family?" just to make conversation and hyunjin gets snippy and maybe says something like "what bout you, huh? i bet your family is ing thriving" or whatever and chris just smiles a little and looks up at the sky before saying "i hope they are" and maybe that's the moment when hyunjin realizes that he seemingly doesnt have any family either. that could make his pov on chris start to change but he was still too stubborn to admit it until chris saves his . ooooh!!!!!! idea!!!!!!!
hyunjin, after the mission ends, struggles to approach chris because he's embarrassed and pissed, mainly at himself for being so weak. but when he does finally approach him, he's all bruised and and he apologizes. chris, who had been present every time hyunjin got his beat (gonna have him choosing not to step in because he knew hyunjin needs this in a way, like a reality check or a wake-up call almost). when hyunjin would admit he'd need help, he'd make it known in one way or another whether it was verbally or subtly. hyunjin approaching him to apologize could be his subtle way of asking for help and chris catches this so he starts making comments about his form, telling him where he needs to improve. it eventually molds into private sparring lessons where the viper gets the honorary chance of training with the king cobra personally (which is normally a very high sign of respect amongst the mafia family that is more seen with the higher-ups). it'll be a good chance for them to bond. i can imagine them out of breath after one lesson, just panting and sweating on the floor staring up at the ceiling as hyunjin grimly listens to chris talking about the car crash that killed his family. and then this brings them a bit closer because hyunjin realizes they're similar in a lot of ways but then :intense eyez: their sparring lessons start feeling a bit,,, different. chris impliments the challenge of "if you can pin me, you've finally reached my level" meaning he's advanced and became stronger. so hyunjin starts trying to pin him but by doing that he has to get cLOSER but that starts to stir things up and there's so much ual tension by the time he finally manages to pin him sojdosjd okay anyways i've rambled enough,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

@⋆ christopher ᵏⁱⁿᵍ ᶜᵒᵇʳᵃ yes yes yesssss i love it. he would be too stubborn to admit it, their personalities (although they should get along well) clash simply because hyunjin is hardheaded and closed off due to his past. that is an amazing link to the main storyline too- you're a genius

@⋆ hyunjin ᵛᶦᵖᵉʳ yeah!!! and because of this one interaction, they've been rather awkward around each other. like maybe hyunjin has wanted to say something but never bothered to for whatever reason (too stubborn, didn't wanna admit he was wrong, etc). that's when the higher-ups are like ",,, yes this needs to end-- you two are going on a mission together congrats" and that'll be the beginning of the main story?
