@zhou shiyu. hyunjin came to earth for one purpose and one purpose only: to carry out the will of his father and destroy the pesky fairy kingdom that had been saving one too many souls from entering into hell. in hyunjin's mind, the fairies had it coming. they should've known better than to meddle in his father's business. after all, this hadn't been the first time satan has had to threaten the winged beings. but they clearly hadn't heeded those warnings, or else he wouldn't be here to crush them and everything they stood for. 'it's their own fault. they should've listened,' hyunjin thought, shaking his head a bit as he stepped out of the portal he'd created to travel between realms. not that he cared, of course. he just couldn't believe an entire kingdom failed to stay out of his father's way. surely, this task would be a piece of cake, considering their lack of intelligence.

not to raise any suspicion, hyunjin switched from his original demon form to a much less threatening human form: a tall, lanky boy with dark brown eyes and matching hair that touched the top of his shoulders. handsome, to say the least. after all, he wouldn't be able to just waltz right into the fairy kingdom while sporting jagged horns and a long, pointed tail as much as he wished he could.

the demon had a vague idea of where to look for the fairies. he knew their strong magic would protect and shield their home from the prying eye, so he'd need to catch one of the tiny things and interrogate it until it led him right to where he needed to be. as he wandered through the thick forest, hyunjin paused to inhale the scents around him, trying to see if he could catch a hint of the smell of fairy dust. it never failed to make him sneeze; fairy dust was too flowery, too sweet for his liking. he could hardly stand it. after about two or three whiffs, the demon caught wind of the faintest bit of fairy dust and immediately plowed in that direction. and, just about a mile or so further into the woods, there she was: a stunning, vibrant creature with a small fox resting at her side. 'got you,' hyunjin smirked before stepping out into the clearing. "miss...? hello!" he gently called out, not wanting to frighten her away.

@hwang hyunjin. It was still the early hours of morning, the majority of the world still laying dormant in a peaceful slumber as the sun had barely started to rise, soft rays of orange sunlight peeking through thick foliage to slowly warm up the forest floor. Enjoying the serene silence was one little fairy, her light-footed steps muffled by the mossy patches lining the banks of the small river running through the forest. Quietly humming to a melody only she could hear, the young fairy ventured deeper into the forest, the rising sun and the early morning breeze her only companions.

It's not like she preferred to be alone, but if having to choose between mother nature or the other fairies, Shiyu would gladly take the former option any day. Not that she believed the other fairies would even want to accompany her on her usual walks anyway as most of them were too busy cultivating their powers in order to rise in ranks and one day work in the royal palace. Long time ago, Shiyu too had dreamed of serving the royal family, but as the young fairy had always been weaker, both in physical strength and magical abilities, she had soon become the subject of mockery for her peers. Until she eventually gave up on those foolish dreams, focusing on something way more suitable for her. Always having been more in tune with nature and her surroundings than anyone else she knew, Shiyu eventually took up the studies of plants and spirit beasts, soon becoming one of the few caretakers of the magical forest bordering the main city.

Following the winding paths along the river, she eventually reached her destination, a small clearing surrounded by tall trees that reached high into the sky. And right there, perched on a large rock right at the center of the clearing, laid a small bundle of white fur. Catching sight of the spirit fox, Shiyu's eyes immediately lit up in delight, her footsteps quickening to a sprint as she rushed over, softly calling out to the small animal. Which in response lifted its head, yawned before answering her call with a sleepy squeak. Soft laughter filled the air as she fairy settled next to the fox, hands already burying into soft fur as she attended to the animal.
