@minho ʰᵃˡˡᵒʷ Taemin found the sounds coming from the room unbearable. Every muffled cry, every unidentifiable noise, clawed at his resolve like a beast desperate to break free. Something was happening—something deeply unsettling—and Minho was in the thick of it, working to bring the three back together. But it wasn’t just physical; it was something far more profound, a spiritual and emotional bond being mended, reforged in the fires of whatever had gone terribly wrong. As Kai’s mate, Taemin should have felt secure in their bond, but the truth was far more complex. The feelings Kai held for Darden were unlike anything Taemin could explain—unreachable, incomprehensible, a love that was both different and yet no less meaningful than what they shared. It wasn’t a competition, nor could it ever be. Taemin knew, deep down, that his relationship with Kai wouldn’t be the same without Kai’s love for Darden, or Darden’s love for Kai and Kia, or even Malik’s love for Darden. The interconnectedness of their family was like a labyrinth—intricate, beautiful, and unbearably fragile. And now, that delicate web was unraveling, torn apart by the chaos wrought by the mirrors. Everything was spiraling, and Taemin could feel it in his very bones.

He did his best to stop Malik, to keep him from wearing a hole in the floor as he paced like a caged animal. Malik’s desperation was palpable, and several times he had charged the door, only for Taemin to throw himself in the way, blocking his path. Tears streamed down Taemin’s face, his voice breaking as he pleaded, “You mustn’t open the door! Listen to what your father said—what my uncle said! If we go in there, we might destroy everything he’s trying to fix. You can’t go in!” But Malik wouldn’t hear it. He grabbed Taemin’s arm, his eyes wild with anguish. “My brothers are in there, Taemin. Your mate is in there! And you act like there’s something stopping us from going in. The only thing stopping us is you!” A moment ago, it had been Malik holding Taemin back, his grip firm as Taemin’s hand hovered over the doorknob, trembling with the temptation to turn it. Now, it was Taemin’s turn to stop Malik, his body a barrier between him and the door.

Taemin, desperate for answers, pressed his eye to the keyhole, his breath catching as he tried to peer inside. But before he could see anything, Malik grabbed him, pulling him back with a sharp tug and slamming his hand over the keyhole. “Are you insane?” Malik snapped, his voice sharp with fear. “Something might tear your eye out! There’s glass in there—I’m sure of it. Unless you want a bloody socket, keep your face away from that door!” The tension between them was suffocating, the room alive with their barely restrained desperation. They clung to each other, holding one another back while simultaneously driving each other to the brink of madness. Their nerves were frayed, their tempers short, and the constant battle between fear, love, and anger threatened to destroy what little resolve they had left. Yet still, they stayed, teetering on the edge of chaos, helpless against the storm raging just beyond that door.

@malik ⁱⁿᶜᶜᵘᵇᵘˢ Minho was in the process of starting the ritual of what needed to be done to help mend this broken bond. As he awakens the mirror, The mirror began turning red. Thus, the house began shaking. Minho looked at Darden. was he ready to see what affects the three was bare to give?

Minho looked at Kai and he heart could have broken. He didn't even want to witness what was bound to happen. It's like any other time, when he was with Kai, He would lose him. He wasn't ready to lose his child yet again. Caiya. He just gotten her back, and already she closer to death than anything. He looked at the white-haired Darden once more. "It's time to put this behind and focus on what's ahead." he moved a hand over Darden's eyes. "Awaken; Son" he spoke and waited for the other to come to. Screams and sounds emitted from the door and Minho heard the voice and looked at Kai.

The room shook and pain and anguish began sounding. Suffering and black sludge came from under the door as some sludge began creeping up over the door. Like tendrils of veins. Minho put an enchanting spell over the three making sure to keep them safe. Minho sat humming on the barrier and letting the mirror, Darden, Kai and Kaiya do what needed to be a thing. Closing his eyes, he continues to hold the barrier. Black sludge came around Minho. As the mirror was giving way to its agony coating everything around it.

@minho ʰᵃˡˡᵒʷ The house was alive with its torment, the walls weeping black sludge as if mourning the agony within. When Minho returned with Kai, the air grew even heavier. Kai’s body was a broken masterpiece—fractured like porcelain, his crystalline skin shimmering faintly but shattered with cracks that seemed to glow faintly under the oppressive light. Black sludge oozed from his eyes, mouth, and ears, each drop a silent scream. Minho carried him carefully, every step deliberate, as though the slightest jolt could break Kai into a thousand pieces. Without a word, Minho laid him on the bed, the fragile figure sinking into the sheets. Malik and Taemin watched in horrified silence as the room filled with dread. The sight of Kai, so vulnerable and distant, mirrored the still forms of Kia and Darden, already trapped in the same comatose hell.

Minho turned to them, his voice commanding. “You will not enter this room,” he said, the weight of his words brooking no argument. “No matter what you hear, you stay out.” The brothers nodded, though the command felt impossible even as they accepted it. The door closed, sealing the siblings inside, and the sounds began. Whispers turned to cries, each one sharper than the last. Malik’s heart twisted at the guttural agony of Darden’s voice, while Kia’s soft wails echoed like a distant melody of grief. The oppressive atmosphere pressed on them as if the house itself sought to crush their will. The brothers leaned on each other, trembling but resolute, caught in a silent battle against the instinct to rush through that door and defy Minho’s orders.

Malik’s pacing halted as his knees threatened to give way, his mind caught in an endless storm of helplessness. Taemin, still as stone, gripped Malik’s arm, anchoring him even as his own resolve wavered. They locked eyes, both reflecting the same unspoken question: Who would falter first? The sounds of their siblings’ suffering grew louder, the walls seeming to pulse with their pain, but neither brother let go. They held onto each other as the weight of their love for their family bound them to their promise. Yet, the cracks in their strength widened with every cry from beyond the door, their bond the only thread keeping them from falling apart.

@minho ʰᵃˡˡᵒʷ The house felt like a tomb, every corner steeped in the kind of silence that screamed louder than any chaos. The walls wept with black sludge, the viscous substance trailing down like an infection spreading through the very bones of the structure. The hum that permeated the air was deafening in its low, sinister resonance, and the atmosphere was sharp, jagged—each breath felt like it could tear through the lungs. Malik paced the floor with a ferocity that mirrored the storm inside him. Every creak of the shifting house grated against his already fraying nerves.

He couldn’t bring himself to look at Kia for too long. Her body lay unnervingly still, her expression serene yet haunting, as if caught in a dream that teetered on the edge of a nightmare. It wasn’t just her motionlessness that unnerved him—it was the sheer emptiness. Kia, who was so vibrant, so alive, now seemed like a hollowed-out vessel. Her silence was deafening.

But it wasn’t just Kia. The house itself was a mausoleum of their suffering. Kai and Darden were also lost to them, their bodies comatose, their presence there in form but stripped of the essence that made them whole. Malik’s heart felt like it was being wrung dry, the pain of seeing his brother Darden like this unbearable. Darden, who had always been the stronger of the two, who wielded shadows with such effortless power that Malik often felt like a child by comparison, now reduced to this fragile, lifeless shell. The memory of Darden coughing up black sludge, his body convulsing before they forced him into stasis, replayed in Malik’s mind like a curse. His shadows were useless now, empty tendrils that mocked his helplessness.

Malik’s pacing quickened as his thoughts spiraled. The connection he shared with Darden was unlike anything he could explain—deeper than blood, more intrinsic than life itself. To see his brother like this was to feel his own soul fracturing. And then there was Kia, her stillness only amplifying the void, and Kai, somewhere trapped in the same unrelenting darkness. It was too much. Too much to bear, too much to comprehend.

Taemin, seated nearby, wasn’t faring much better. He sat close to Kia’s unmoving form, his posture rigid, as though holding himself together was the only thing keeping him from falling apart. His hand hovered near hers but didn’t touch, as if afraid that the contact might shatter what little composure he had left. Taemin’s eyes, usually sharp with focus, were distant now, clouded with an ache that he couldn’t shake. Malik could see it—the way Taemin’s gaze would flicker toward Kia’s face, lingering there for a moment too long before darting away. He couldn’t bear it either.

Kia, an extension of Kai in every way, was a constant reminder of the agony Kai must be enduring wherever his consciousness was. Taemin’s mind was a battlefield, the weight of Kia’s and Kai’s suffering pressing down on him like a relentless tide. Malik knew that Taemin’s thoughts had drifted to their father’s absence—how he had left to find Kai, taking some unknown object with him. Malik hadn’t missed the flicker of resolve in their father’s eyes before he departed, but the absence left behind was like a wound, bleeding doubt and desperation into the already suffocating atmosphere.

The sound of the house groaning, shifting as though under the weight of its own despair, pulled Malik back to the present. He stopped pacing for a moment, his gaze falling on Darden’s lifeless form. It didn’t seem possible that the figure before him was the same man who once commanded shadows like an extension of his will, the same brother who could light up the darkest moments with his unyielding strength. The irony wasn’t lost on Malik. The mighty had fallen, and now the weaker one—himself—was left to carry what he could.

But it was a hollow effort. Malik’s strength felt like a mockery, a pale imitation of what his brother could do. His shadows flitted around him, restless and aimless, reflecting his own fractured state of mind. He wanted to tear the house apart, to rip through the oppressive sludge and demand answers from the void itself, but all he could do was keep moving. Keep pacing. Keep drowning in his own helplessness.

Taemin, still seated near Kia, shifted slightly, his fingers gripping the edge of his chair as if grounding himself against the tide of his emotions. He didn’t speak; he couldn’t. Words would have been futile, unable to encapsulate the enormity of what they were facing. His mind, though, was a relentless swirl of thoughts. He couldn’t stop picturing Kai—the Kai he knew, vibrant and full of life—lying somewhere just as still as Kia, just as lost. The image burned him from the inside, leaving scars he couldn’t soothe.

The house shifted again, the creaking sound cutting through the silence like a blade. Malik turned toward the sound instinctively, his shadows snapping to attention, but it was nothing. Just the house groaning under the weight of their collective anguish. Taemin’s eyes met Malik’s briefly, and in that shared glance, there was an understanding—a silent agreement to endure this torment together. If one of them faltered, the other would hold them steady.

But how much more could they endure? How long before the weight of their siblings’ suffering crushed them completely?

@taemin ᵛᵃᵐᵖⁱʳᵉ Minho looked at his son, he saw the destruction on his on. His whole soul was being torn apart and Minho told Taemin to look after the three he would be back. Minho vanished into the mist of the smoke of blackness. And into his void.

Closing his eyes he used his darkness of the void to pinpoint where his son was. Minho needed to find his child before his other child shrivel to be nonexistent. He moved his head as if searching. Travels hitting. as he searched. Minho moved his head in certain direction. Which gave way he wasn't creature, but then he held a piece of the glass of the mirror that he picked up from before when his son threw it up. he looked at the mirror piece and blew air into the crystal and then mumbled certain words.

the crystal began spinning. Going massive as if it was searching. Minho continue to chant and then the shard spined as if it was about to crush itself. Then within a few moments. it began going off in certain direction. It twisted and moved and guided Minho in such direction.

MInho began following the shard as it guided him to where his son was. Minho moved through the void as if gliding through it. Minho moved with the piece and over time as they traveled through time and void space the shard stopped and began spinning uncontrollably. It began pulling itself and pushing as it twisted in pain and torment. It began pushing itself and flew up and with such notion it burst into millions of pieces. Falling down around Minho. He looked at the reaction of the crystal. HIs eyes flashed black and coated itself over.

A light came into the void and Minho went through the portal like door and then appeared on the side of the outside of a mansion. His eyes scanned and he sensed his son.

There was no one near as he looked at the mansion. he moved his hand, and he caught Kai within his void and pulled him into that of his void. He spoke a word, and the house exploded, and he left and with Kai safely with him. He looked at his child. After entering the void and appearing back at Caiya and Darden's place. He held his son in his arms and moved his hair from his face. Cracks vivid and clear over his body. Pieces of chipped of glass from his cheeks, and neck. Minho sighed as he saw his child was falling apart.

Minho moved Kai's hair from his face and held his cheek. It was cold to the touch, but not cold as death, cold as one of those glass dolls from old times. when dolls were made of glass "This has to mend" the elder spoke observing his son more. He felt like glass that if he was dropped, he would break further from what was already falling off. He moved in through the room telling Taemin to grab Caiya.

Black sludge was dried from Kai's mouth, nose, and eyes. Although his eyes were closed, the black was vividly clear where it came from. Minho frowned deepened the more he looked at his children. But on the note, he looked at Darden, Caiya and Kai. He looked at Taemin and Malik. "Turn the light off. It needs to be dark" He spoke and laying them in a certain way where Kai was on one side and Caiya on the other. "This may take some time." the elder spoke and he told Taemin to take Malik and wait at the door. "Whatever you hear. You must not come inside. Taemin that's double for you. Malik...." he stopped from what he was about to speak before continuing. "Keep each other in line." he spoke and closed the door. Walking back to his children laying upon the bed he watched their state. He looked at the mirror and spoken certain words and the mirror began waking.

@minho ʰᵃˡˡᵒʷ The air was brisk and cold, biting against the skin like an unrelenting reminder of the chaos unfolding. Shadows stretched unnaturally long across the ground, and a suffocating darkness seemed to press in around the sprawling mansion. It was as if an unseen force clung to the home, urging the shadows to encroach further, turning the surroundings into an almost tangible void. The nearest home was miles away, but even if anyone had been close enough to witness what was happening, they would surely be left traumatized by the horrors playing out on the front lawn.

Taemin’s mind was a whirlwind, his heart torn in too many directions. His beloved Kai was at the center of his thoughts, yet the pain and fragility of his sister Kia in his arms weighed heavily on him. His brothers, whether half or whole, were as much a part of his soul as his mate, and he couldn’t push aside the concern that consumed him for each of them. He held Kia carefully in his arms, cradling her bridal style, mindful of her frailty and the bubbling black substance that seeped from her lips. It seemed alive, an unnatural and malevolent force trying to claim her.

The instructions Minho had given him were clear, and Taemin followed them to the letter. He carried Kia inside, his steps deliberate as he balanced the urgency of her condition with the need to shield her from further harm. Minho had already taken Darden inside, though Darden had been far from willing. Before succumbing to forced sleep, Darden had been frantic, consumed by his desperate need to find Kai.

Taemin had seen the raw emotion in Darden’s eyes, the way his entire being cried out for Kai. It was a love that was different from what they shared but no less profound. Taemin didn’t resent it—he understood it. It was a bond that defied explanation, a connection that echoed through every fiber of Darden’s being.

As Taemin stepped inside the mansion, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. The home itself had become a manifestation of the turmoil within. The walls seemed alive, jagged and sharp like shards of a shattered mirror. Every step he took felt as though invisible blades were slicing at his skin, and he fought the urge to glance down, half expecting to see his own blood trailing behind him.

“What the is going on here?” Taemin growled, his voice raw with frustration and fear. “Minho, tell me you can do something about this! Uncle, please tell me you have some magic trick up your sleeve, some way to fix this!”

Minho, his face etched with grim determination, said nothing at first, his focus entirely on stabilizing Darden. The sight of Darden—his once-powerful brother now reduced to a shell of himself, consumed by shadows and despair—only added to Taemin’s growing panic.

“Is this really what happens when the story falls apart?” Taemin demanded, his voice rising as the weight of the situation pressed down on him. “We can’t let this happen. We can’t. We have to fix this—fix their hearts, their minds, their souls—or someone is going to die. I don’t know who, but it feels like everyone’s life is on the line.”

His voice cracked, the intensity of his worry bleeding through every word. His usual calm had been shattered, replaced by an adamant distress that reflected the disturbance in the balance of the family. Between Kai, Darden, and Kia, the ties that bound them all together felt as though they were fraying, unraveling before his eyes.

Taemin’s gaze lingered on Kia, her pale form limp in his arms, the black substance still oozing from her lips. He thought of Kai—his mate, his anchor—and dread clawed at his chest. If this was happening to Kia, what in the world was happening to Kai? And how much time did they have to fix it before everything fell apart for good?
minho ʰᵃˡˡᵒʷ [A] 3 weeks ago
@darden ˢʰᵃᵈᵒʷ ᵈᵃᵉᵐᵒⁿ Minho sensed something inside his son. A hand moved to his stomach feeling it move about. Knowing this would harm the children, he placed his hand over Darden's stomach. A small glow of light began coating the womb of the children that were inside. Once the babies were securely protected. Minho felt the substance move elsewhere within the body and he knew that it needed to come out. He hit the boys back like one would do a baby when they needed to burp as a smalling but needed help. Minho didn't pat but gave a hard hit that would sure to help with what happened next.

When the substance began spilling from his mouth, Minho caught glance of the shards. Minho moved a hand picking it up. Hands now semi covered with black, he watched as the sludge burbled about as if attacking. It was moving. Minho looked at the black on his hand as if studying it. He looked over towards his daughter and nephew.

Darden's voice took Minho from his developing moment as his attention went back towards his son. He heard him speak about needing Kai. Minho stilled malik from shaking his brother. He watched the younger also try to stand and with fail he caught his son. "We will find Kai. But right now, until you kill this what's inside you and calm your state of darkness. It will seem hopeless." his father reassured him a short moment. Minho felt it. while more substance came from his lips. "You should sleep Darden" he spoke and with a hand moving from his son's forehead down, as if he was shutting his sons' eyes putting Darden into a trance of sleep. Still holding his son in his arms, he picked him up bridal style carrying him.

It was a good thing that they were within the limits of the forest that no one would be able to witness the monstrosity of everything happening. Their neighbor were a few miles away. As they would be terrified to be anywhere near the area. This was happening on the front lawn of their place. Minho moved over towards Taemin and Caiya. He looked her over moving her hair from her face. Turning her head to see the black substance that emitted from her lips and mouth. It was stained a black and he saw her paleness. Minho told Taemin to bring his daughter inside the house and lay her down.

"Keep her head up, do not let her lay flat. The same height as if you were holding her. Until I can see what's happening with them both do not let her lay down fully." He spoke, but on top of which, when he entered the home, it was a massive wave of energy. Painful, Demanding despair and hurt. It felt off focus since everything was happening outside. The real pain and trauma wasn't until they stepped inside their home

Minho laid his son on the bed in one of the spare rooms. He told Taemin to bring his daughter into a separate room. He needed to calculate what effects kai and darden had. So in times he separated the two.
darden ˢʰᵃᵈᵒʷ ᵈᵃᵉᵐᵒⁿ 4 weeks ago
@Narrator Taemin entered the room, his steps faltering as he took in the chaos before him. The air was heavy, thick with tension and despair, as though the very house was groaning under the weight of the turmoil within. His arms cradled Kia, limp and lifeless, her exhaustion palpable. Black substance oozed from her lips, an ominous sign that made his stomach churn. His mind raced—if this was happening to Kia, what in all creation could be happening to Kai?

Panic clawed at him, but Taemin kept his composure, though barely. He glanced at the black sludge staining Kia’s mouth, his thoughts screaming for answers. His blood could heal her—he knew that—but how could she swallow it with the dark liquid already pooling at her lips? He couldn’t shake the fear that gripped him.

Darden, across the room, was an embodiment of chaos. Malik had pushed him away from the dark portal forming beneath him, a swirling abyss of shadow and sludge, with claw-like tendrils reaching out to drag him under. Darden’s hollow was fighting to consume him, to pull him into a void of endless suffering. Malik wouldn’t let it.

"Focus, damn you!" Malik growled, his voice sharp with desperation as he smacked Darden’s face again and again. "What the actual , Darden? Can you hear me?"

Darden’s body was rigid, his mind seemingly lost in the storm of his own torment. His eyes, once bright, were now pure black, an abyss that even Malik had never seen before. Malik’s tone shifted, tinged with fear, as he gripped his brother tightly, his hands trembling.

"Darden, it’s me," Malik whispered, his voice softer now, stroking Darden’s hair back with a tenderness rarely seen from him. But there was no response. Darden was breaking—no, shattering. His heart, like fragments of jagged glass, mirrored his pain. The shards were growing darker, spreading their poison through his essence, corrupting him.

Suddenly, Minho stepped into the fray. Without hesitation, his hand pierced Darden’s chest, invoking a cleansing ritual. The pain sent shockwaves through Darden’s body, but it was the only way. The black substance began to recoil, but not without resistance. Lines of darkness crawled up Darden’s neck and across his face like living veins, threatening to overtake him.

Darden’s body convulsed, his voice finally breaking through in a hoarse cry. "Kai…" *His voice was a desperate plea, a name drenched in longing and anguish.*

Minho continued his chant, his voice unwavering as a soft, luminous glow enveloped Darden. The shards of glass inside his body began to stabilize, though not without a cost. Black and red liquid spewed from his mouth, fragments of glass glinting in the viscous sludge as it hit the ground.

"I need Kai," Darden rasped, his voice trembling as he clutched his chest. "If I can’t have Kai… I’ll die. We’ll all die. Me, Kai, Kia—this has to stop!"

Another cough wracked his body, sending more of the poisoned liquid pouring from his lips. The veins of darkness tightened their grip, creeping over his face, staining his lips in an eerie black film. Malik was beside him, shaking him violently.

"Darden, snap out of it! If you keep this up, you’ll destroy yourself—and everything else with you!"

Darden tried to stand, his legs trembling beneath him as his blood, tainted and corrupted, continued to spill. His fragmented mirrors—those broken pieces of his essence—were acting of their own accord, searching for Kai, trying to fix what was missing. But even they were failing, their reflections shattering one by one as something unseen destroyed them, severing Darden’s last connection to hope.

He collapsed to his knees, his hands trembling as he whispered again, his voice a shadow of itself. "I can’t… I can’t live without him. I need to see Kai. I need him…"

The darkness within him surged, threatening to consume him entirely. His body was deteriorating, his essence unraveling, as if his very being couldn’t survive the separation from Kai. The black substance continued to pour from his mouth, staining the floor, the air thick with despair.

And yet, in the distance, something stirred. A faint glimmer of light—a thread of hope, tenuous but present. Minho’s chanting grew louder, the purifying energy pushing back against the encroaching void. But Darden’s eyes, now clouded with shadows, remained fixed on one thought, one name, one soul.

"Kai…" *The word fell from his lips, a final, desperate prayer as his strength began to wane.*

@nex ⁿᵃʳʳᵃᵗᵒʳ While the commotion was happening around Darden, needing to get him from his despairing moment. Wanting him to come to his senses and gain control; Kai was still laying on side the road, slipping deeper into such state. On his side growing colder along with the night air.

The mirrors still glowing, and the cracks began turning into broken glass. Falling from their spots. A small hope to try to open his eyes, catching nothing but blurry pixels, he blinked to clear his vision. The tears of crystals began to flow. Trickling down his face shattering on the ground. His mind gaining control into remembering. Flashes of what he saw reverberating back to his memory. Someone he never knew. The lies, the secrets. The deception and leaving him to suffer and die alone. Remnants that should have been kept whole were unbalanced and broken. He was broken. It's been a couple months since they encountered each other at Jimin's home.

Don't... don't leave me... brother... *His mind replayed the scene of Darden's departure through the walking glass. But without acknowledgement shattered all mirrors. A new beginning and chapter to the pain that brought about this young lad.

The mirror began changing from a white glow, to becoming red. Anger strikes the mirror just as it did so with kai's deep feelings. He tried to wipe his eyes, his arms seemed heavy* i can't move. it's so hard to move. *he looked at the scene around him, but only with his eyes, He closed his eyes* i need to move. But I'm so tired.

*he spoke as the mirror turned orange and still while falling apart. Seeming like a mood mirror, coating itself to fit with kai's reactions and moods. This happened until all the mirrors were no longer holding onto the car but peeled slices along the ground. A short moment, they pieced together to form a full part of a mirror. The now full mirror turned towards Kai, which was facing his back. A reflection of kai reflected through the mirror.

Laying there unmoved, a reflection of Caiya came into view. Showing her vulnerable state. Laying passed out within the depts of Taemin's hold. Protecting her from something unknown. Something unable to be understood by those unconnected to their reality. Her body slowly heaved up and down catching small breaths that which sustained life. A silent bound connection between the two siblings. Caught in a mist of harmful chaos. A connection of something the two shared together as a whole. Just then, amongst the reflections, the mirror began turning black. Like it was being dressed to fit the mood of everything. But this was the pain and disconnection within the void of time's reflection. Darkness took hold of the mirror. A once pure connection mixed in translation. As the mirror sustained its emptiness, thick black liquid began rolling down the mirror.

Such connection between the siblings and the mirror, black ooze, the same as the mirror, began seeping from both kai and Caiya's lips. Strands of black creeping over their lips in effect.

An outcome clear that this separation was clearly affecting the three. Now this was not so different from when Darden had disappeared from them. Even though half of their whole was missing, the two halves of a whole was still connected, so the unbalance wasn't so much separated since there was still a connection. The problem here and now, was that Kai was rejecting Darden. His complete other half. And pulling away from Darden caused an unbalanced in nature. But not only was he stirring away from Darden, the rejection is that on top of which he was now pulling away from his half a whole. His other half, his sister.

Reflecting it's all black form, the connection within the walls of Darden's and Caiya's home, began turning full black with ooze just the same. Some sight it was, for someone to find all the mirrors in one's home completely black like something from a Halloween horror movie.  Connection was key in this symbolic knock off. Portals of connectivity. Now, believe it or not, this was the pain and suffering of the mirror. The despair, the turmoil of disbalance. Showing its own depth of darkness within the three's nature. Considering.... Yes, the mirror was very much alive.

Silent and cold, the only known noise was the eerie dreadful wind. One would think a cold storm was going to blow over. Now Kai had a coat to secure his warmth. But it wasn't enough to keep him from freezing to death. Kai was unresponsive. Unmoving. Not since he slipped into the hypnotic sleep from the mirror. It was a great time for anyone to pass. Cold, and alone. Not even the babies were responding to anything at the moment.

Clack... clack..... clack......

*Came Footsteps approaching the laying pregnant Kai. Frost hitting the strands of his bangs that covered his face. The figure in all black walked closer towards the male and the mirror continued focused on Kai until it sensed the close proximity of said figure. It extended slightly in the air above the height of the car and dead reflecting Kai's body. Heavier ooze ran down the closer the figure moved as it massively began dropping to the cold ground that also began frosting lightly. The figure stopped its actions observing the situation*

How interesting. *the figure spoke and with a quick movement a black shadow as quick as it had come up behind the mirror and covering it, ceasing all connections of view. The mirror demanded with a hard humming and a massive violent shaking of vibrations. It was just then the figure took that to go to the male and pick him up and with a crushing off his hand, the covering began to tighten and fold. The mirror twisted to find him. Twisting to be free, needing that reflection of sight. The figure kept its hand bald crushing and tormenting the mirror until it shattered within the covering. A rub of the fingers like they were dropping invisible sand and so did it happen to the remains of shattered glass. It was crushed and sprinkled as dust. The covering dropped leaving nothing but the remainder of the black ooze on the frozen ground. Within a poof the two were gone.

**back at Darden's home**

*While everything was spiraling downwards, Traces of footsteps came within the facility of the surrounding chaos.  he looked to witness Taemin holding Caiya and malik trying to get Darden to his senses. A hand placed to Darden's forehead ignoring all sparling tendrils coming from the youngers' darkness* son, I need you to calm your darkness.

You cannot let this darkness consume you or those around you. Focus your breathing and calm your thoughts. Minho placed some of his calming light into Darden's mind. All the while, pushing his hand into his son's chest jagged shards tore at his hand. Since they were going around his heart from his pain and torment of despair, Minho removed his hand. Darden's body was going into a defense mechanism.

Minho moved his hand back and into a hand sign in front his own chest. Closing his eyes to focus while the other hand still plastered to Darden's forehead using two fingers; he spoke an ancient language. Minho continued the chanting a short minute before he opened his eyes and shifted the energy into his son's body through his chest* kal i chi ma! *His hand went flat against Darden's chest with a firm push as a protective coating went around his heart. he removed his hand from his forehead and from his chest. The symbol forced the tendrils to retreat back into the shadows as this would slow down his powers temporarily. Darden should have been feeling his heart began to slow* deep breaths it would help the feeling. Now, someone tell me. what the hell is going on?

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... Darden was unraveling, his emotions clawing at him from every direction, threatening to consume him. His hollow stirred, a dark and menacing force lying just beneath his surface, waiting to take control. Perhaps this was where Typhoon inherited his turbulent emotional state—from a father whose own emotions could fracture worlds.

Darden’s chest heaved as if the weight of the universe pressed down on him. His heart felt like it was splintering, each crack sharp and jagged, like glass shards embedding themselves into his soul. Words stuck in his throat, caught behind the jagged edges of his despair. He wanted to cry out, to explain, to plead, but nothing came.

His youngest daughter’s small hand patted his shoulder, her innocent attempt to comfort him only deepening his torment. He couldn’t even acknowledge her presence. She was too close, dangerously close, to the void that was forming beneath him—a dark, spiraling hole birthed from his hollow self. Tendrils of shadow reached out from the abyss, like grasping arms desperate to pull him under. He wanted to push her away, to shield her from the chaos that surrounded him, but his body refused to move.

His tears, streaking white with blood, fell freely, his face a portrait of torment and longing. He fought with everything he had—every ounce of willpower, every shred of strength—not to succumb to the shadows. His love for Kai fueled his resistance, his desperate need to reunite with his mate driving him to claw against the pull of darkness, tooth and nail.

Then, suddenly, a force knocked him to the side, shattering the moment. Malik had arrived, his instincts screaming that something was wrong. He wasn’t alone; Taemin was with him, his eyes scanning the property with a razor-sharp focus, his senses on high alert.

"Where is Kai?" Taemin demanded, his voice cutting through the suffocating tension. "What have you said to him? What have you done to him? Where is my mate?"

Darden didn’t answer. He couldn’t. He remained frozen, cradling himself like a fallen statue, his tears flowing unchecked. His mind replayed the same tormenting thought: Kai hates me. My beloved despises me. He doesn’t want me anymore.

The house trembled, objects vibrating and shaking as if reacting to his internal chaos. Lights flickered, casting eerie shadows across the room. Then, in the doorway, Kia appeared, her exhaustion etched into every line of her face. She moved toward Darden, her steps heavy, yet determined.

Placing her hands gently on his head, she tried to connect with him, her touch grounding him momentarily. "Calm down," she said softly, her voice tinged with urgency. "You’re causing all this chaos."

But Darden shook his head, his voice cracking as he rasped, "It’s not me. Not all of it. It’s Kai—he’s separated from me. He’s angry. This is because of him, because of us."

Kia stumbled, her head spinning from the intensity of his emotions, and Taemin caught her before she fell. Cradling his sister, he brushed a strand of hair from her face. "She really does resemble Kai so much," he muttered, his voice low with worry. "What the hell is going on?"

He turned his attention to Darden, his tone sharp and commanding. "Darden, you need to fix this. Malik, do something about your brother!"

"I’m trying," Malik snapped, his voice edged with frustration. He crouched beside Darden, gripping his shoulders and shaking him forcefully. "Focus, dammit! If you don’t pull yourself together, you’ll never get to Kai. You can’t stay in this state and expect him to come running back to you!"

Malik’s voice rose, firm and unrelenting. "This isn’t just about you, Darden. Your hollow is affecting the Shadow Realm and bleeding into reality. The damage will ripple out, and it won’t stop. Close this goddamned hole now!"

Darden’s body trembled as Malik’s words cut through the haze of his despair. His elder brother’s tone carried the weight of authority, commanding him to act. But even as Malik demanded, Darden’s heart ached, his soul teetering on the edge of collapse.

@darden ˢʰᵃᵈᵒʷ ᵈᵃᵉᵐᵒⁿ *Getting into the car and driving off. I couldn't help but to look in the mirror. I saw the older look as if he was defeated. I sighed looking straight ahead as if to not look back knowing that I would stop and run to him. Or want him to come and rescue me from myself. I drove off, out of sight. The world was night, and the air was cold and growing colder. But i continue to drive on.

I needed to preoccupy my mind, my thoughts. I needed to keep it out of thought. I felt the weight of everything backlashing all at once to me. My chest hurt as my mind wondered. Soon i couldn't focus as i needed to function but my driving, i was unaware i was driving on the wrong side. Not till the fact that a loud

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggg

from a horn took me by surprise and awaken my mind as I came to my senses and I swerved and slid into a stop on side the road. A raging jolt hit my body as I took a deep breath. Panting and breathing heavily as it was a narrow miss of an accident. I growled and gripped the steering wheel tightly while hitting it repeatedly* IT ALL

I placed my head to the wheel and I sighed. I don't know what to do.. I don't know how I feel. Why am i feeling like this. *I get out the car and slam it shut as the crack on my back began to spread. It began to branch off into sections like the branches of a tree began to branch off to give life to new leaves.

It began to spread up towards his neck. A glowing sensation. Pieces of shards began falling from kai's hand as he walked. It was an unknown feeling towards Kai but well received towards that of another. For kai, the feeling of it was vivid enough to be felt. Coming off as pain and scars.

When he got out the car, the mirror began to glow as well as the side mirrors also began to glow breaking and cracking in symbolism. Crying pieces of mirror fragments that fell towards the ground that scattered into liquid.

Although it was turning the young one's body into what would be cracked on the outside. his insides were turning into fragments of the mirror. Explaining the imbalance of what the feeling and outcome between the bond broke. Kai, in many ways were connected towards Darden in many ways. This was just the beginning of said unbalanced nature.

Now on such notion, this would have a similar-ness to Caiya as well. although she was with her other whole aka Darden, a piece of the separate whole of herself was unbalanced. Causing a ripple in time to be unbalanced within her nature too. But two of the same wholes, kai's was the one to be visible, as Caiya's body was to be invisible. on the inside of her body, coating and clinging to her flesh, abrasions of cracks collected inside her system. Breaking away all aspects of being her own person.

The mirrors within Dardens and Caiya home began to glow inwards. cracks forming on the inside as well. Blood trailing down the outside of the mirror's reflections signifying torment and pain. The same pain Darden was feeling. The house shook and cries of ringing from its fragments began calling out to their other half*

*walking and pacing, I took a rest holding my coat tightly to me. I closed my eyes laying back*

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... As your words poured forth, I stood rooted in place, a silent testament to your unforgiveness. The weight of your words bore down on me, each syllable like a wave crashing against the steadfast surface of a mountain. And though I stood tall, unmoving, the force of your words carved into me, breaking pieces of my soul.

To others, the crashing of waves against a mountain may seem a thing of beauty—a mesmerizing dance of nature's power. But to the mountain, it is destruction. Each wave erodes the façade, stripping away what once made it whole. That is how I felt, Kai. Your words stripped me bare, exposing my core, leaving me raw and vulnerable.

Outwardly, I may have appeared calm, still as stone, but inside, my heart was crumbling. Tears built in the back of my throat, silencing me as though a great weight pressed against my voice. A lump formed, choking me, while my eyes burned with unshed tears. My soul ached, and the love I have for you—the eternal, unyielding love—remained, even as you drove away.

I could have chased you, Kai. I could have clambered into the shadows, followed the fleeting image of your car, and found myself beside you in an instant. But I didn’t. You needed this time, and I knew it. You had said so much, and though your words cut me deeply, I understood their truth.

"My life, my home, is incomplete without you," you had said. And you were right. You are my brother, my love, my mate. My heart is tethered to you, and without you, it aches as if torn asunder. My soul felt fractured, breaking beneath the weight of my guilt and sorrow.

I sank to the ground, unable to stand beneath the heaviness in my chest. My body, carrying the precious children within me, felt the sting of rejection, as though their small, fragile hearts ached with mine. I could not move, even as the child beside me called out, "Father." Their voice reached me, but my body refused to respond.

I watched as your car disappeared into the distance, my tears turning red with the agony of my despair. Blood streaked my face as I wiped my eyes, the crimson staining my fingers—a physical manifestation of the pain tearing through me. Separateness from you was not just sorrow, Kai; it was death.

I could feel myself withering, dying from the inside out. A part of my soul, my connection to you, felt severed, and without it, I was no more than a hollow shell. Who is a man without his soul? Nothing but a corpse.

I will wait for your forgiveness, Kai, though it may never come. If that forgiveness is denied, if I am left to carry the burden of this broken bond, I know I will not survive it. I will fall into the shadows, swallowed by despair, and I will fade from this world, a man undone by the loss of his heart and soul.

@darden ˢʰᵃᵈᵒʷ ᵈᵃᵉᵐᵒⁿ *On the notion that i needed to get away. I held my belly and with as much of a quick haste i could use I left out. I grabbed the keys from the pants I had on and clicked the button as the car beeped. I with everything tried to leave. But on such note I cursed this family for being one to have powers of their creatures. I was halted and I caught my balance while stumbling a bit and with a light gasp.*

... *the word slipped out, not so much at you but towards you from scaring the hell out of me with your shadows. A startlement of what i wasn't prepared for. Seeing the solidifying of your body, I stepped back and cleared my throat and looked away when your eyes wanted to meet mines.

I heard you speak, and I looked away at your words. It wasn't for me to hear, nor did your words come to aid me. I looked back at your home and then stepped back*

Darden, go to Caiya. And always protect her no matter what. Your whole family dynamic, it involves her and malik. That should be whole. With her and malik should be whole. I don't know how you all will do it. But that's between you three. Since you are a part of Maliks life and Caiya's. Those two is who you should be pleading with not me.

*i stepped back even more* you... I don’t know who you were in that moment... I never expected that from you. You hurt me, and that’s not something I can just forget. But I can’t ignore the fact that this was not who you are... or at least, it’s not who I thought you were. *i started and sighed heavily* I don't know where you were all theses years, but it changed you. You were never like this. I don't know what happened. Where you went or what torture you went through. But this...

this is not the Darden I know. This is not whom I met when he was still inside his brother wanting to be let go. Wanting to not be kept in the shadows. Playing into the pawns of Malik. I don't know fully of anything and I'm sorry for that. But I have what i have of everyone. I have what i have from this family. Or what im told is called my family. But the one person i didn't feel like an outsider with betray me to say some hateful things to another.

I don't care what the past is or was. I have no memory of that. I wish i did. Maybe it would help. Maybe it won't. But you on top of everyone kept that from me. You kept what happened between those two from me. You kept what you and malik had. I really thought we were brothers. We were closer then what im portrayed as by others. But you kept it from me... Me. You claim i matter to you. You claim that im yours. But i never really was, was I?

I won't step in the way of what you have, it won't be right. I don't care that you are even expecting. But you still lied to me. As a friend, a brother, or your so-called mate. You have a life and i want you to have it. You were better off without me. Darden I would put my life up for you. But that meant nothing in that moment, did it? As long as there was pain and suffering from him... Guess what I-.... *i stopped and looked towards you and sighed letting my words die down as i felt the anger build up inside*

I don’t know yet. I need time to think, to understand what I’m feeling. What you did was hard to process. I can’t give you a quick answer when my trust is still broken. You’ve always been the one person I knew I could trust. The one who I thought would always have my back, no matter what. But in that moment, it felt like you weren’t you. It wasn’t just the pain that hurt me—it was seeing you like that. Seeing you become someone I didn’t recognize.

*i spoke and moved walking towards the car* You are teaching me wonderful things big brother. *it came out dryly and more sarcastically* But for now. focus on the important things in your life. one of them is right through that door. Time will tell if you should be forgiven or not. *i get into the car and start the car to drive off*

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... Darden watched silently, his heart aching as he observed Kai. The subtle avoidance mechanisms Kai employed to steer clear of him struck a deep chord of pain. He knew he had done wrong—terribly wrong—at Jimin’s house. His mind hadn’t been in the right place; his focus had been consumed by the children growing within himself.

He had spoken words he never should have, implicated Kai in ways that were undeserved, and lashed out at his brother, his love, and his mate in the worst way. Worse still, he had failed to protect Kai when he needed it most.

The memories haunted him. Thinking about the harm that could have been inflicted on Kai, he felt sick. Even the lacerations Jimin had inflicted on his belly, wounds he had to heal himself, didn’t excuse his actions—or his absence when Kai needed him. The weight of his failures bore down on him, and he couldn’t ignore it any longer.

Gathering himself, Darden slipped into the shadows, letting the darkness carry him until he emerged in front of Kai. His form solidified, and his pleading, pale eyes met Kai’s.

"Do not avoid me, mate. Do not avoid me, brother," he began, his voice trembling with emotion. "I apologize. There are no words to justify my actions, no means to express how deeply hurtful they were. I have wronged you, knowing full well that you are always my priority—your feelings, your emotions, your well-being.

To harm you is to harm myself, and yet I let my fear for the children I am carrying overshadow my love for you. As a parent, I panicked. I put them before you, and it was wrong. I should have thought of you as my mate first, my partner, my equal. As a parent yourself, I know you would never place anyone above your children, and I failed to respect that part of you."

Darden’s voice cracked as he knelt, his hands trembling slightly as he clasped them together.

"I am but a shadow of the man I strive to be. I’m asking for your forgiveness. I’m begging for your mercy. You are my morning and my evening star, just as much as Kia is. You light my world, Kai, and I apologize for not looking to the horizon when the situation grew too dark for me to handle.

Please, do not leave me. Do not make plans to go. Do not avoid me for the rest of your life. I don’t know what I would do if I lost you. My heart would sink into the shadows, and I would never want to emerge again.

You are as much a part of me as Kia, as these children. What I did is unforgivable by my own standards. I am deeply disappointed in myself, but I cannot bear the thought of you being even more disappointed in me than I already am. The level of disappointment I feel is unrelenting and self-punishing."

Darden’s voice grew softer, his head bowing slightly.

"Please tell me that my regret, my apology, and my vow to do better are enough for you to give me a second chance. Please, Kai, I beg you. Without you, I am lost."

His pleading eyes shone brighter, his vulnerability laid bare as he awaited a response, every ounce of his being hoping for forgiveness.

@caiya ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... apple pie tarts? Im not the best when it comes to sweets. I don't think you should let me help you with that. I would hate to mess that up for you all. Or worse burn it. *gives a face and shakes head* that would be my weakness. *looks at you and then look at the food still mixing and flipping to make sure I cook it to the temperature.

when hearing your words* more bloody huh? i wouldn't have guessed that at all. Considering he would have it more on the cooked side. But i mean preferences can change. Unless he was always like that. hmmm... I wasn't the one to do the cooking. Taemin provided with maids and butlers to do the cooking. I wasn't much for cooking. hmmm i guess over the times he was gone, I took up cooking to survive. with jimin.

*thinks and nods* sorry i didn't visit so much-.... *my words cut off as i was going to mention of me being sick as I was. but on the note of hearing dardens name. I seem to pause and then dropping the spoon as I was startled. Darden spoke and I looked down as if i was searching for something. I heard his words and i was caught in what seemed like a trap* hmm. You know what... I forgot that i need to prepare the food for taemin and the kids. You know.. I looked at Caiya and then putting the steaks down. I moved down to pick up the spoon with some difficulty. But i managed to get it and moved to place it in the sink* i'm sorry. *says and moves with as much quickness as I could while giving a small bow as I moved*

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... Now that you ask, brother, there are cheddar bay biscuits over here," she said, gesturing toward the golden, buttery tray with a proud smile. "And these—" she pointed to the neatly arranged circles of dough on the counter "—are going to become apple pie tarts. With your help, of course."

She turned to look at Kai with a playful grin, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.

"As for me, I’d love a nice medium steak—just the right balance, you know? But those two," she motioned toward the corner where the faint sounds of voices could be heard, "Darden and Yuie, they like it more bloody. It’s like they’re in a secret contest to see who can eat the rarest steak. Honestly, it makes me wonder sometimes, but to each their own."

Before Kai could respond, the sound of quick footsteps descending the stairs interrupted their conversation. The steady rhythm grew louder, and she glanced toward the doorway just as Darden appeared, his expression a mix of curiosity and his usual calm demeanor.

"Darden," she greeted with a smirk, her voice tinged with warmth and just a hint of teasing. "Perfect timing. I was just telling Kai about your taste in steak. Care to confirm my suspicions?"

Kai dear Darden said- was his first word his smile turned to sadness / what I did at Jimin's was unforgivable i should have thought of you first i'm happy you could join your family for dinner tonight

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... We are the same, you and I, yet we don’t share the same memories. I get bits and pieces of it, and from what I think I know about us coming together and parting a few times, you were very well-respected by your members.

I don’t really know much about gang life, but I don’t think anyone would see you as a freak of nature or anything like that. You’re an amazingly strong person, Kai, and you’re also an amazing umma.

Sometimes, I feel like I’ve skipped time, like I don’t have the right know-how or I’m slow to learn things—like modern things. I still haven’t gotten the hang of cell phones. A little box that lets you speak to anyone you want? All the numbers… is there an endless amount of numbers in this world?"

He chuckled softly and rubbed the bun dough with butter, adding a touch of flavoring and sprinkling a little cheese on top.

But I do miss them a lot. *began working on preparing the steak and leaving the mash for last since that only took a few minutes to prepare.

*start humming a tune that i have been having stuck in my head for some time. Continue to help you cook* Noona. Do you ever feel out of place? *says while flipping the steaks and coating them with the juices*

@kieran ᵖʳᵒᶜᵉˢˢⁱⁿᵍ... I think she takes after me—she’s nothing like Darden. But aside from sliding into a dark shadow, she just puffs away. There’s a name for her kind; I think they’re called Night Crawlers. How I ended up with such a child, I don’t know.

When she’s really mad, she pops in and out, pushing over objects and turning blue. But I can catch her with my trusty stick," she said, pointing at the branch propped up in the corner of the room.

"Thank you for helping me with the bags. But are you sure you’re still in a state to be holding those babies inside you? I swear, these guys think we’re just baby makers and forget we’re human—unlike most of the family."

"I could use your amazing touch on the mash and the steak. I got the veggies and the buns, and we can work together on filling the pie

As soon as the door opened and their mother stepped inside, the child suddenly puffed up in a cloud of black smoke.

"YUIE!!!"

"Agooo," she said, exasperated, turning to see Kai standing there as she juggled shopping bags filled with ingredients for dinner and a few extras. Strangely, Darden was nowhere to be found.

"Kai, it’s nice to see you! How are you, and where have you been?" She smiled softly, her gaze warm as she looked at him.

"You don’t mind staying for dinner, do you? I went to pick everything up," she said with a gentle tilt of her head.
