It was one of those days where Yor had to get out of the house to enjoy the sun's rays on her skin. It would've been a waste to sit inside all day, so instead she decided to sit *outside* all day. Finding herself a shaded bench that overlooked the gentle hills of the park, she opened up the book that she decided to bring out that day. Yor only managed to read through the first paragraph on the first page when she suddenly shut the cover– deciding against reading altogether. Not like it was her thing. She was never a book person in the first place. Exhaling a sharp breath through her nose, Yor instead turned to people-watching.
At first glance, it seemed like a normal day at the park. A woman taking her child to the playground. The child being clumsy and tripping over their own two feet. Then a man grabbing the child up... and running for it. If it wasn't for the woman's frantic screams for help, Yor would've thought the child's father wanted a turn to play. Without any hesitation, she sprinted down the hill at an inhuman speed after the man and wailing child. "Stop right there!" she yelled as she yanked the stranger's shoulder hard enough to bring him to a standstill. There might have been some movement in his bones, but she was too preoccupied with the current situation to notice. "What do you think you're doing with that child?!"
