cliques
✧ CHAEBOL : The cream of the crop. Overtly wealthy, and you can tell right away, with their luxury cars and expensive clothes.
✧ DRIFTER : A type of non-clique identification for someone who floats between cliques. One day they could be hanging out with the populars, and the next they’re with the skaters, able to blend in like a chameleon.
✧ EMO : Wearing dark clothes and having (self-proclaimed) darker souls. Emo is used as a broad term for the spectrum of people in band T-shirts to cybergoths and everything in between.
✧ HOBBYIST : Ranging from the crafty to collectors (baseball cards, rocks, coins, etc.) to anime lovers, this is a clique of people with strong hobbies that some people may consider a little obsessive.
✧ JOCK : Usually playing an array of sports or just one. They tend to represent the university constantly by wearing their uniforms and varsity jackets.
✧ LONER : Another type of non-clique identification, but unlike the drifter a loner sticks to themself, seemingly unable to identify with anyone.
✧ NERD : The smart ones; mathletes, science award winners, high scoring test takers and more. Some rock the suspenders and thick glasses while others prefer the more modern chic nerd look.
✧ NORMAL : What it says on the tin. A typical student who isn’t a part of any one particular clique. (And honestly? They probably think those that are part of a clique are a little weird.)
✧ OUTCAST : Considered lesser than others: troublemakers and “weird” kids all lumped together because of the perceptions of others. Unlike a loner, outcasts try to stick together, hence being categorized as a clique.
✧ PARTY ANIMAL : No one knows how they’re still passing their classes. Frat bros and sorority sisters are most common in this clique, but there are also those who just like to get sloshed every weekend (and weekday) and have a good time.
✧ POPULAR : Typically sociable and admired (or hated) by the rest of the student body. Everyone wants to be friends with them or be them.
✧ SKATER : Never seen without their board and often wearing clothes that don’t suit the weather (ie. basketball shorts in the middle of winter). Some like to smoke weed, others like to party, but they all like to ride.
✧ THEATER KID : Has a flair for the dramatic and probably has a bag full of play scripts. Many prefer to method act throughout the day which can annoy others who have to be around them.
