zombie-like, miji pulled open the door to the cafe and trudged through, straight to the ordering countertop. she was dead—souless, after surviving a 20 hour filming schedule. the worst part was that she hadn't even had the energy nor the time to touch up her makeup. so, on went the baseball cap, face mask and sunglasses—even if she were indoors. she couldn't be caught looking dead; what if some attractive guy just so happened to be in her vicinity? they would miss out on her true beauty. receiving her requested red eye drink, miji was about to leave, when she spotted her friends in their usual spot.

“They’re pretty good,” she laughs, uncapping the bottle and taking one of the pills, “but I’m partial to the strawberry. They do have a brownie one as well.” A smile crosses her face as she nods to Hoon, that familiar face making her light up. She then turns her attention to her fellow model, an odd look crossing her face when she notices the slightly disheveled look he decided on. “You can get both,” she laughs, the mention of the food items not lost on her. “And dont worry about the drinks… the kitchen needs the money though.”

"huhh? why can't i?" for a moment, he looked genuinely bewildered—but the expression only sooner softens as haebin offers his turn at paying. it's taken hoon a bit to unlearn the habit of pushing everyone to accept his generosity, and this is the moment he remembers to let others show their care for him, too. "aigoo, fine, fine. let me have a taste of the parfait too, then. i'll have some english breakfast for myself..."

"i only ordered an americano, but i'm pretty sure i'm going to get hungry soon." he says with a sheepish smile, reaching over with his free hand to give hoon's shoulder some bro pats. "i can pay for us since i offered for nari. should we just get three parfaits for now and decide on more later?"

A bright smile stretched wide across her cheeks when Hoon embraced her, which she returned with a tight hug of her own. She pulled away after a few beats and shook her head at his question. "No, still thinking. Yums said the parfaits are good today. So I might get that. But! You're not paying for me."

"got hungry, so might as well." he dips down for a bear hug around nari's form, a wide smile thrown to haebin and yumi's way in greeting. "you guys ordered already? i was going to treat everyone today."

"What kind of parfait?" she asked, wrapping her arms around Yumi's middle to give her a little squeeze before turning around to the sound of Hoon's voice. Her eyes lit up and she let go of Yumi, holding out her arms to him, wordlessly requesting for a hug.

"hey, hoooon!" his eyes are pulled away from the menu, so he can greet his friend properly. "i didn't think you'd actually come."

"hey guys," a soft greeting is heard from behind the group of three as he approaches the table. call it a surprise visit, since hoon showing up around this time is something that only happens once in a blue moon...

haebin breaks into a genuine smile when she hugs him again. he's holding his coffee in one hand when they make it back into the line. "i think i'll do a parfait. but a sandwich sounds good too.." he thinks on it for a second, eyes up at the menu. "should i get both?"

Yumi scrunches her nose, laughing softly. “We didn’t, I’m just being difficult,” she laughs before gasping at the tiny bottle of pills. She sniffles lightly before pressing a kiss to the side of Nari’s head, gently cradling the life saving medicine in her hands. “You are so good to me— How about a parfait? They’re pretty good today…”

"I didn't know we had a set time!" she defended, reaching into her purse to fish out the tiny, travel-sized bottle of pills she promised to bring. She held it out to Yumi, eyes immediately finding the menu again. "What to eat..."

There’s a short sigh that presses past tight lips, her migraine permeating through the left side of her head right behind her eye. The short 15 minute break was not long enough to relieve it. The hot bath for her feet didn’t do anything but leave her with slightly wet socks and that was enough to make her her want to bash her head against the broken printer (she hated that thing). But the soft voice of recognition that floated through the air was enough to pull her back into herself for a moment. Wide eyes laid on the pair of friends before she dramatically whined and headed over to sling herself around Nari’s shoulders. “You guys are LATE,” she huffed, mock irritation shading her visage.

Instantly Nari softened, her frown dissipating as quickly as it surfaced to make way for a bright, loving smile. She leaned into his touch and shook her head at his offer, leaning in to give him another hug before doing a little prance and skip to the line, where she took her place as the fifth person waiting to order. "Want a snack?" she mouthed to Haebin, pointing at the menu.

"i nearly died.." haebin coughs, trying to clear his throat — but then notices her frown and feels a pang of guilt. his hand reaches up to pat the side of her head in a loving manner. "but i'm okay now. i'll buy your coffee?" he flashes her smile.

"What?!" Nari pulled away with knitted brows and a small frown.

his head pivots to see nari walking through the door when her voice joins in. "i was waiting for yumi to speak," he grins smugly, giving yumi a look. he takes a sip of his coffee but nearly chokes on it when nari surprises him with a hug. "dude?!"

"Who paid for dinner?" Nari chimed in almost as soon as she walked past the doors. She took off her coat and hung it over the seat beside Haebin before standing behind his seat and wrapping her arms from behind to give him a big squeeze. "Actually, hold that thought. I'm gonna order."

after receiving his coffee order from yumi, haebin seats himself in the bar area, so he can stay talking to her. "so tell me about this dude who paid for dinner."
