@❝ k. mingyuᵖᵃⁿᵗʰᵉʳ Chris frowned when he heard how his patient fell. "Head first? You poor thing...that must've hurt a lot." His voice became softer, more gentle and soothing. He gently brushed aside Mingyu's hair, discovering a cut along his hair line. "You got a cut here and it looks like you've already got a bruise forming..." He held up three fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?"
@❛ b. christopherʰʸᵈʳᵃ As quickly as the thought crossed his mind, the universe seemed to answer him as the cute nurse entered into his room. "Chris!" He began, as if he had just remembered the name, but he quickly had to backtrack so as to not seem like he was thinking about the nurse. "I--yes. There are some steps leading down to the tattoo parlor. I slipped on the top step and went head-first into the landing at the bottom." The gentle touch of the nurse was enough to make Mingyu's heart beat a little faster, and the heartbeat monitor was enough of an to make sure we both knew of that fact.
@❝ k. mingyuᵖᵃⁿᵗʰᵉʳ Chris grabbed the chart from the nurses station and started looking it over as he headed for the exam room. He knocked lightly on the door to announce his arrival, stepping inside and immediately offering the patient a bright, dimpled smile. "Mr. Kim? My name's Chris, I'm going to be your nurse today." He introduced, approaching the other. "your chart says you took a fall at work? How'd that happen? Did you hit your head?" He asked, setting the chart down so he could step closer, gently cupping Mingyu's face as he turned his head carefully to examine it closely.
@❛ b. christopherʰʸᵈʳᵃ It felt silly. It was just a small fall, but his coworkers would not rest until he got everything checked out. Despite his protests, here he was: sitting on a bed in a hospital gown, unable to sleep for fear of having a concussion. Regardless, Mingyu occupied his thoughts with mindless reality television as different doctors and nurses came in and out of his room throughout the night. However, there was a cute one that always caught his eye. What was his name? Chris? Maybe. He'd be sure to get a good look at his name tag the next time he came in to check on him.
