@Dani As he walked, he senced something as if someone was just behind him. Was he stupid? No. Was he going crazy? Maybe. Was he furious? Yes. Yet, he shrugged, as if talking to himself, he knew the orphanage was filled with pain, not only his pain but also the other kid's pain. A few of them were very good at hiding it, others not so good and only a couple of them didn't care about it at all, or, at least, was what they said about it. He had nothing to do, nowhere to go, no one to rely on, in short words, he was no one. Baekho was tired of thinking, tired of everything, tired of everyone. He sighed, sitting down, looking outside the window, looking at freedom, the thing he never had.
@Baekho(semi hiatus) The locket was lifeless, like Dani and her surroundings. To the female, it was just a memory of something. Something lost. Truthfully, she lost two important things in her life. Her father, who never came back, and her mother, who died from a car accident. She wiped the locket's glass with her thumb and continued to walk. Being clumsy, as she was known for being one, she tripped on the cold and dusty floor. She stood up, staggered a bit. She's so numb that she didn't even feel the thin metal embedded on that section of the corridor. With the fall, she had bruises on her elbows and knees, but that was not her concern right now. How she wished to be back on her room. Dani looked at the locket. The glass who protected her mother's picture formed a long crack across her face. Soon enough, her tears streamed down from her eyes down on the locket on her hands.
@Dani Baekho wasn't much of a crying guy, in fact, it was hard for him to cry... the further he could go was starting punching everything around him, not much though. He sighed, he wanted to get rid of that old photo but for some uknown reason, he couldn't. He wasn't even blaming himself for what happened, he just couldn't throw it away. Strange thing since he didn't have much left from his family. Baekho frooze when he heard a strange sound, well, it wasn't strange because most of the time, he could find kids crying all around the orphanage. But it still didn't sound good. The guy stood up, sighing, trying to get where the sound came from...at least, he didn't want anyone to see him like that. His hand pulled the old photo back on his pocket but since his hand left his pocket, right away, the photo fell down. He didn't even notice it. And just like that, the photo was left there, on the semi dirty floor...alone.
@Baekho(semi hiatus) Dani had nothing to do but to walk away from all the people at the park. She's not in the mood for such sissy gatherings, although she was required to. The caretakers won't let her return back inside the building, but she managed to escape somehow. Sighing, she walked on the empty, colorless corridor, her hands clutching the locket her father gave her. She stopped, kept her gaze on the trinket on her hands. Soon enough, her vision blurred and a tear dropped on the small picture of her father.
@Dani Baekho was sitting, his back leaning on the wall. He sighed, looking around, to see if there was anyone around. There wasn't. He took an old photo from his pocket. ''i'm sorry'' he mumbled as he caressed the female's cheeks. For him, that photo was everything, the only thing he had to remind him about his sister.
Minzy ran down the hallway quickly trying to hide from everyone else. They had scared her so she was trembling and crying leaving a trail of tears as she ran.
Bora looks around the corridor. She let out a sigh. Today is her first day as a caretaker in this place. "Fighting, Bora." she mumbled to herself, as she walked again.
@Minzy Fei slowly trailed along the hallway, and gazed around. She had to check and make sure all the windows were securely locked. Though she was side tracked by a girl simply standing there. She smiled. "Hello?"
@Krystal Inviting a girl (who was also a complete stranger he'd just met) into his room felt weird and awkward, but when Baekhyun saw how fearful Krystal seemed to be in the dark he just couldn't help but invite her in. "No problem!" he told her, quickly turning around and opening the door to his room. "And, uh, yeah, sure."
He held the door open for her, now starting to hope that he hadn't made too much of a mess.
@Baekie(hiatus) She doesn't really like the idea of staying in someone's room. But then again Baekhyun's room is better, than the scary dark corridor. She looked around and shivered.
She quickly bowed and said, "Thanks! Thanks a lot. Can I.....enter now?"
@Krystal Baekhyun almost laughed again but thankfully managed to keep quiet and simply nod in response. Her fear of the dark was really quite obvious now and the realization of that made him a bit worried. "Uh, this is gonna sound pretty awkward but I think you should just stay in my room first." he mumbled, careful to make sure that he didn't come off as creepy. "I mean, this floor is completely full of other people and I don't really know where the empty rooms are...If that's alright with you?"
@Baekie(hiatus) She feels like a lost puppy at the moment. The dark corridor which is very far from her liking and gave her goosebumps, and the cold weather which she hates, makes it harder for her to think. Even though she hates being a burden to people, she hates the dark corridor more.
"It's up to you though. But please, bring me to a place with more....lighting," she said.
@Krystal A slight frown formed on Baekhyun's lips. "Oh." he mumbled, not quite sure how to reply. If she'd told him a room number or anything like that he would've been able to bring her there without any problems, but Krystal didn't even have a room to go to and that definitely made things a lot harder.
He could tell by the look on her face that she felt rather uncomfortable, as if she didn't like having to put someone in this type of situation, but the truth was, Baekhyun didn't mind at all. "It's okay, I don't really care. I mean, I can't just let you walk around in the dark completely lost." he shrugged nonchalantly. "I think I could help you find an empty room for the time being. Or you could camp out in my room until you get yours?"
She stayed silent for a few moments and said,"Room. I need to get to my room. But . . . I haven't got any room yet."
She bit her lips slightly, hesitated to be helped by someone. She hates this kind of things, being a burden to people.
"You should go back to your room, or you will get caught," she whispered.
@Krystal Baekhyun laughed, eyes crinkling up in a smile, before he quickly realized that he had to keep quiet and immediately shutting his mouth. "Oops." he whispered, still smiling as he took a step closer towards her. "I'll help you out then! You can't afford to get caught walking around here this late, even if you're a caretaker yourself. Plus, I know this place like the back of my hand." he nodded at his own words. "So, where do you need to go?"
@Baekie(hiatus) Krystal awkwardly scratches her head and answered in almost inaudible voice,"I don't know where to go."
Being the shy and stubborn girl she is, she was too shy to ask for help. In this case, direction.
"But I'll find a way. Don't worry," she smiled.
@Krystal "Oh, welcome then!" Baekhyun grinned, throwing up jazz hands. It made him happy knowing that he was the first to properly meet the new caretaker, made him feel ahead of everyone else in a way.
"And why's that?" he asked, promptly dropping his raised hands and tilting his head to the side slightly. "Do you need help or anything?"
@Baekie(hiatus) Seeing the raised eyebrow the boy gave her, she could tell that he was a bit confused. The boy flashed her a bright smile and she quickly replied with a smile too. Just a simple one though.
"Nice to meet you too, Baekhyun. And yeah, just a few moments ago so . . . I'm a bit confused right now," she let out an awkward laugh as she looked down.
@Krystal "Caretaker?" he repeated with a raised brow. He didn't think she'd be a caretaker, after all most caretakers were usually a lot older, with only a few in their twenties, and this girl definitely didn't look like she'd be of standard caretaker age. Rather, she looked to be around his age, which was definitely a first.
Baekhyun quickly bowed back and offered the other a smile. "Nice to meet you! I'm Baekhyun, one of the other orphans here. Did you just arrive?"
@Baekie(hiatus) "I-i'm the new caretaker," she stuttered. Well, the boy's presence startled her a bit. She couldn't see the boy in the dark corridor and her phone screen lightning was not helping at all. So she slowly approached to see the boy's face clearly.
She bowed, "My name is Soojung but you can call me Krystal."
@Krystal Hearing the sound of steady footsteps coming from what was usually the dead silent corridors, Baekhyun poked his head out of his room, looking around curiously to see who would dare to be up this early. A part of him hoped that it'd be one of his friends out on the search for food, since it was usually his group of friends who actually had the guts to sneak out of their rooms, but when he caught sight of an unfamiliar girl standing in the middle of the corridor looking completely lost, he realized that it was probably someone new to the orphanage.
"Hi." he called out quietly to the stranger, stepping out of his room. "Who are you?"
Krystal took a deep breath as she started walking through the corridor. It's her first day as a caretaker here, so she knows no one. She looks around the empty corridor and sighed.
"You can do it," she whispered to herself.
@Ren Samuel grinned, "Nice to meet you Ren!" He chuckled happily. "What are you doing?" He tilted his head to the side wondering why he was just sitting alone.
@Samuel Ren is usually alone in the orphanage and is often found sitting on a bench where he is thinking deeply how to make friends cause he is shy and quiet. While in his deep thought he heard someone coming and he saw a young boy walking towards him and introduced to him. His loneliness was swept away by the young boy and Ren happily replied "Hi... I' Ren"
@Ren Samuel skipped mindlessly along the corridors, just being the kid he is. He held his pink, stuffed bunny, Roger, in his arms as he looked around, taking in the new surrounds. He soon saw someone sitting alone on a bench. He wanted to go talk to him. He happily walked over to the guy and waved, "Hi! I'm Samuel!" He bowed politely.
