@Taeyeon Tiffany only let out another hearty chuckle as she averted her gaze from the other Nephilim, gazing at the breathtaking view around the park. Honestly, she could just stay in the place all day long. The view was rather... calming. It was as if the scenery was telling her that 'things /will/ be okay'.
But then again, since when was things ever okay?
When there was something much more interesting than Taeyeon and Tiffany's friendship, it was the two of them themselves. Why? Because you wouldn't even think such different personalities would be best friends in the first place. Tiffany was the laidback type of woman; rather a woman with different sides, but initially shows off a radiant image.
While Taeyeon, on the other hand, was her opposite.
Tiffany shook her head, a smile still painted on her lips. "Dont be silly, Taeng," she chuckles, "of course I know that. I just wanted to see your reaction." She did a side glance at the other before looking ahead of her once again. "You really never changed."
@Tiffany "Then clearly you don't know me at all." Her hand in one side of her waist as if she was posing for a cover of a magazine and said with absolute sham. "I'm just kidding." And chuckled at the end.
"Tiff, I take back what I said." She continued. "This is not a miracle, but rather, a Destiny. We were destined to meet after such a long time. Things like this happen for a reason. I bet some thing big is gonna come-up anytime soon and don't ask me, Because I don't have any idea what it is." She felt like slapping her self several times as to think she was just saying random words out of nowhere.
The thought of hugging her best friend made her shiver, not that she doesn't like hugs. Maybe it was because of the weather they were experiencing at this moment. "Tiff, Umm. Is not that I don't like hugs or like I hate you or anything, but," She hugged herself with her arms. "I kinda, You know.. Don't like to show Public Display of Affection." She finished off her sentence with a smile hoping her friend won't take it the wrong way.
@Taeyeon Tiffany let out a chuckle. “I never thought you were the type of girl who believes in miracles, Taeng,” she said. How long had it been, really? Surely, Taeyeon looked even more mature than she could ever get. After all, they were no longer the kids like those who passed by earlier. They were already adults.
“But I guess I’ll have to agree with you that this might be a miracle,” she responds at her next statement, grinning this time. Honestly, she was also just remembering this girl, but now they were just in front of each other, smiling at each other… oh, how much she missed their days together before.
… And perhaps they could be able to create more moments together somehow.
Tiffany opened her arms wide. “Then why won’t you? I’m actually hoping for a reunion with more than just words, but also a hug, you know.” She laughed.
@Tiffany Taeyeon's eyes softened as the girl approached her. She opened , about to say something but she decided not to.
"Well, I'm surprised that's why. Not because you look like a ghost or anything. Not really." She continued. "To even see you here, I guess that would be a miracle."
Taeyeon scanned the girl from the top of her head, the color of her hair, to her facial features and down to her outfit. It's been so long since she last saw Tiffany, That she almost didn't recognized the girl.
"Isn't it weird that I was remembering you just a few moments ago then suddenly you are here, In front of me. Smiling and everything." She chuckled.
@Taeyeon Tiffany brushed her bangs aside as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. How weird, she thought, for her to suddenly feel a huge pang of nostalgia creeping in to her after she averted her gaze from the two children.
Maybe it's only because the two kids reminded her so much of herself and her best friend.
She was just about to approach a tree when she felt someone's gaze on her. Raising a brow, she looked around to see whoever was looking at her; and the moment she snapped her head to the left...
All she saw was someone she actually longed to see.
Tiffany's eyes slowly widened upon the realization. The one she was currently looking at was not anyone else but her own best friend; her /parabatai/.
A smile slowly crept unto her lips. "You know, having to meet you again... I actually expected more than just to have you stare at me as if I'm a ghost." She let out a hearty laugh as she approached the other.
As the girl from the other side of the park left, Taeyeon turned her attention on behind of one of her hands. A rose mark embarked on her skin.
It was not clear where she got it. Her aunt only said: "The one marked within a generation of the family, They were said to be gifted. " Though taeyeon doesn't really believe in such things. Her late father had the same mark and he was the best fighter Within his siblings.
Taeyeon then looked at her right and saw the girl she saw awhile ago. The hair by her neck prickled. The girl really looked like Stephanie, Except her hair was different. A different color.
@Taeyeon [ OTL i dont know if i'm even making any sense in this. ]
Yes, Tiffany longed to see her long time not seen friend again.
She hadn't been so close with anyone else but that one other Shadowhunter - that one Blacktorn whom she had met long before she had moved from the Los Angeles Institute and into the New York Institute. It was by then, when they had last met. Ever since, they barely had any other communication, and Tiffany guessed the other must have been busy herself with some... important things.
Tiffany, truth be told, actually decided to take a walk not just because she was bored, but also that she needed to look back at the past.
"Whoever does not look back would not be able to reach its destination," she'd always tell herself, having it as a reason for her to never forget to remember how and who she was years ago.
As for Taeyeon, she would always remain Tiffany's both past and present. After all, they are inseparable. They could not be torn apart; even distance could not tear them apart.
She looked up, just in time to see two little girls, along with their mother, passing by in front of her.
With a smile lingering on her lips still, she allowed herself to watch them as they pass by. How awfully those two children remind her of herself and Taeyeon. They do bicker at times, having partly different personalities, but those bickerings were simply immature and nonsense; just like those two little girls.
When the family was no longer in view, she let out a sigh.
"I don't remember seeing today as throwback thursday," she chuckled to herself, remembering how she had once heard how the other mundanes had their own terms for such days.
Standing up, she carried on walking. Suddenly, she could feel it.
Taeyeon was somewhere near.
"Aigoo," she shook her head. "I must have been mistaken somehow..."
Taeyeon was in Central Park. She was walking around the circle of the park. The wind passing by her, making her hair cover her face. Both hands by her sweater pockets and stops by the black railings, placing both arms on top of it.
By her side she was looking to two small young girls, one was wearing all pink while the other all in black. They were bickering which made her think it was adorable and it made her remember someone.
Stephanie, She thought.
That girl was Important to her. A person who Taeyeon would risk her own life, Just to protect her if needed. Though they didn't quite got along the first time they met, As time passed they develop a strong friendship. Especially when they had slayed their first ever demon with each other. Which made their bond closer; decided to swear and oath to lay down their lives for each other.
To become one.
A Parabatai.
A smiled smeared on her face as she looked away from the two young kids as their parents carried them away, still bickering on the way. She looked straight on to the other side of the park. Several benches and one in the middle was occupied.
A girl.
She was alone though a soft smile was plastered on her face.
"She looks like Stephanie from afar." She muttered to herself. "How odd."
It's been awhile since both of them met or even hang-out. She thought maybe she was just hallucinating, Because she is missing her friend.
[ starter for Taeyeon. OTL cannot tag, not online. ]
Tiffany sat on a bench, reminiscing the times when the had stood side by side her best friend.
Her Parabatai.
How long has it been, since they last saw each other? She could barely even remember how long, but surely it had been quite long enough for her to miss their adventures together. It was this particular girl who had been the one she was with the time she had first slayed the first demon she could ever encounter. Back then, they weren't even as close - but that teamwork they did... it made a strong bond between them.
A smile crept into Tiffany's lips as she brushed her bangs on the side, looking up to the trees swaying along the wind's direction.
She then looked down on her arm, running her fingertips on that one mark that symbolizes her unbreakable bond with her /parabatai/.
Her gaze softening, she suddenly had the gut feeling that they'd somehow be reunite again today. For some odd reasons, she had thought of that.
Well, at least, she hoped they could be reunited somehow.
Jieun walked to the central park, decided to take a moment to refresh her mind after being hours and hours polishing her skill back at her place. She looked around as the leaves already changed into orange-ish colour, matched with the red outfit she wears right now. She hold a thick book, covered with red suede cover and with short, silent steps she reached the bench. Letting out a small sigh, then she took a seat, opening the red book. "Chapter..120.." She mumbled as her fingers delicately flipped the pages.
@Yongguk Always. Always was a lonely word. "Maybe. Cause I'm a service that won't wrinkle or degrade in age," he barked a laugh in the thought. He'd known it was because of his looks that his customers - more of the past, seeing as now he worked almost strictly, again exceptions given, as a worlock to a e - preferred him. It, at one point, had been depressing, but by now, he'd already grown accustomed to the idea. It wasn't even sad anymore. "Maybe it's not a good thing I look the way I do then."
( moving this to the walls again after this post since they're not at the park anymore /cough )
@Himchan "your different you will be beautiful and lovely always that why be why most guys would wanna sleep with you" yongguk followed himchan's direction and finally reach his house
@Yongguk Himchan nodded faintly. Of course he knew the way to his house, he wasn't that directionally challenged. "Take a left from the main street, and then two right turns." He'd made it a deal to memorize the directions when he'd first moved in. It was no good getting lost in the cities. "What?" Himchan blinked, turning from the flower to Yongguk, surprised at the sudden touch again. "I thought I told you to warn me before you hug me," he sighed, but this time, of less surprise. Maybe he was finally getting used to the other's queer antics. "But they die too easily," Himchan mused, again returning to the flower. "They're pretty for only so long until they wither away and go ugly. I don't want that. I don't want to be like a flower."
@Himchan yongguk smiles and walks with him and walks by his side. "Do you know to your house?" yongguk looked around a little lost and continue walking."Aint the flower just lovely? it reminded me of you, as pretty and as lovely just" yongguk smiles and wraps my arm around ur waist
@Yongguk Good looking; he'd heard the term plenty of times before. Often times, he'd wondered if the words were a simple cast out set of heartless compliments just to get in his pants - to which Himchan laughed at, he wouldn't fall head over heels for a silly set of compliments. He wasn't that an easy toy to break. "Hmn," Himchan drawled, disregarding the compliment. Yongguk could have been serious, but the missing trust in the blonde's system kept him from taking it seriously. But of course, it wouldn't have been Yongguk to go without surprising the male. "A flower?" It was grass, another piece of life now so easily killed. His brow arched curiously on Yongguk as he accepted the flower carefully, twirling it between his thumb and index finger. It was dead, and yet so lively. He laughed bitterly, comparing his own life to the likes. Maybe he was dead on the inside as well. Living, but dead. "Thanks, I guess." Himchan sighed. He had accepted the flower, but for what? It was a single bud, nothing extravagant as the fellow warlock could have made with a simple snap of his fingers. But yet, the little thing between his fingers felt more precious than the bouquets he'd received from the past. He sighed again. Yongguk never failed to surprise him.
@Himchan "your just really good looking i dont think i ever saw someone as good looking as you" yongguk compliment himchan and continue to walk just enjoying his time and taking a slow walk and look at the surrounding and picks a flower and hand it to himchan "for the pretty boy" yongguk smiles and hopes himchan accepts it
@Yongguk "Tsk, ." Yongguk just had to make everything ever so complicated. Couldn't he have just told him what his fear was, so Himchan could bother him freely about it? The guy was a jerk, a big one at that. "No way," surprise laced in his tone, Himchan turned to face his fellow warlock - fellow 'same age' warlock, apparently. "There is no way you're the same age as me. You have the exact same ideals as a new born. " Or maybe, it was just Himchan, who was tainted in the fear of everything he'd seen thus yet. Kicking a stone underground, his eyes fell elsewhere, lips curled between his teeth, being torn apart in Himchan's thoughts. There was no way Yongguk could remain so innocent - so pure. "Why're you staring at me like that," he eventually sighed, eyes still on the ground. "I know I'm pretty and all, but staring at me isn't going to make you look any prettier." It was a sad attempt at a joke as he turned sideways to lift a brow curiously. "What, do I have something on my face again?"
@Himchan "not gonna tell you" yongguk teases "you have to find out yourself and you do know i'm like the same age as you" yongguk put his pants in his pocket and walks along side himchan looking at him and admiring his features
@Yongguk "I don't know, kissing ground sounds pretty nice too," Himchan mumbled, eyes closed as he smoothed his fingers through the ground, patting the solid surface thankfully. He'd taken it for granted; Yongguk had taught him that much at the very least. "Don't laugh at me, I told you I didn't like heights." Pushing himself off the ground, begrudgingly - he had to get home someday - Himchan brushed himself off, following after the younger warlock slowly, never in a rush, stuffing his hands inside his pockets. "What do you not like? So I can torture you with it like you do with me." It wasn't fair, after all, if only Yongguk knew his weakness - one of them.
@Himchan yongguk just laughs and walks slowly " are you coming or are you gonna keep kissing the floor?" yongguk hums and walks slowly letting himchan to catch up as he was having his special time witht he ground
@Yongguk Himchan immediately fell on all fours to the ground as soon as the swing was pulled to a stop. He could all but kiss the floors at this point, no matter how dirty it was - it wasn't as if he'd get too sick over it anyways. "Y-yeah, home," he sighed, only halfway listening to the male's words as he flatted himself on the playground floor, pressing his cheeks into the ground. "Ground feels nice. I'm never getting off the ground again."
@Himchan "thanks" yongguk smiles and watch himchan's every movements "i guess we should get you home" yongguk gently lift's himchan off his lap and slowly stood up and dusted his pants. "i dont wanna get you scared" yongguk stretches and yawns slightly
@Yongguk Trust? That was another thing not stated in Himchan's list of to-do's. He'd gone his life, thinking that the world was rancid; how could he just turn that around now, by a stupid request? "I-If you let me fall, I swear I'll ..." he let the words fall, another soft whimper sounding in its stead. Himchan tried to relax, he did, going as far as to seal tight his eyes and chanting under his breath that he was back at home, lazying around the couches and definitely not swinging into the sky on a rusty piece of metal. It didn't work. "W-well," he mumbled, voice shaken by the wind breaking his hard built cover, "g-good lu-luck to you on th-that." Love, he didn't believe the term, but since Yongguk seemed to dead set on it, Himchan figured the best he could do was wish him luck; as a 'friend', he supposed that's what he was supposed to do.
@Himchan "trust me ok i'll be there to catch you if you fall" yongguk hums more and swings more "i guess they do die much earlier than us so i hope to find someone who will live as long as me~ maybe another warlock like me" yongguk smiles and swings more loving the feeling on the wind just against me and holds onto himchan close so that he wont fall down and smiles
@Yongguk "But that's the thing!" He pointed, frowning heavily, memories of the past four hundred years pouring into his head, "You won't die." Not dying was worse than being able to. Dying was, in a sense, like an escape; the mundanes were allowed to leave this rancid life. Himchan was stuck. Not forever perhaps, but longer. Unlike the mundanes, who at worst lived a measly twenty or so years above the passing of their loved ones, Himchan would have to go decades, centuries beyond. And that would have been given if he could even get past his commitment issues to actually fall in love. "That's dumb. You're only going to hurt yourself." He wasn't sure where this worry for the younger - or so he guessed anyways - warlock was coming from; perhaps this 'friendship' thing was starting to rub onto him after all. A surprised squeal and Himchan found himself seated on the other's lap, wind rushing through his hair as momentum took them souring in the confines of the swing. Eyes again widened in fear, Himchan's fingers grasped desperately, knuckles going white from the pressure he was exerting, onto the metal, feeling the skin of his palms tear from the chains. It hurt, but falling off and landing face first with Yongguk on top of him would hurt more. The soft humming behind him was just about as soothing as the surprise ride would get, succeeding in calming the boy's yelps to a soft whimper. "L-let me go, I-I don't like heights."
@Himchan "i rather die know i love someone and someone misses me and be alone and have fake people around me who wants me for my body" yongguk look at himchan and pulls him onto his lap and swings a little hugging his waist and laughs swinging slowly and hum a little tune for u to hear
@Yongguk Himchan was yet to be convinced. What was so great about it? In the end, they died. They betrayed and destroyed so much, just in sake for this so-called 'love', only to die just years later. Would it all have been worth it in the end? The warlock wasn't so sure. "I don't." He mumbled, turning away. "Their happiness lasts only so long, several years at best. Then they die. And it's luck for them if they die ranging the same time period; if not, they live alone, decaying in that solitude their so-called love left them in. That's stupid. Why love something that's going to leave?" Maybe it was Himchan's fear of rejection that had him such a stray away from commitment. One night flings weren't scary; he couldn't fall in love with someone that he didn't know. In the end, friends and love was stupid. All feelings and affection for people died out someday. Nothing lasted forever. "Until they die. Then you'll be left alone too." It was like falling in love with the wrong person, something Himchan had foolishly done in childhood. He'd pried himself away from the belief that it was love; he couldn't love.
@Himchan "living simply is calming too~ they love and get married and have children too. i sometimes envy their happiness" yongguk smiles and swings more humming a tune to himself "just try sit and swing its calming~ i havent been in love i want to be but i dont seem to find the right guy" yongguk look into the sky "i rather love something or someone who will love me back equally as much and spend my life with them"
@Yongguk "You say that you've already been in love." It wasn't fair, how stupid Yongguk seemed. By stupid, Himchan no longer meant the fact he wanted to blast the other's face into tiny little bits and cover the walls in his blood; he meant 'happy'. It was stupid how Yongguk could look so happy, while Himchan had to work like a dog for it. "I am in love," Himchan drawled defensively, disregarding the smile plastered on the other's face, "I'm deeply and far in love with my gems, thank you." Love with a living creature was stupid - they all died far too easily for the warlock. Living things were dangerous to fall in love with; it was easier to love things unable to love back or die. Less of a heartache. "You won't see anything," Himchan mumbled, looking away from the man. "You'll be stuck in their stupid life cycle. Work, home, sleep. That's the stupid pattern you'll follow until you rot away into nothing; until you're too old and feeble to continue."
Victoria is leaving. Sorry to the people I RP with (or plan to), I have to cut my RP time for a lot of things now so I can't be active here anymore.
Thank you, everyone.
