Hi I live here *slapped*
Tao 11 years ago
@Jongin Tao winked playfully over at Jongin, his heavy black leather boots not even clucking against the wood floor, the soundless rune on his arm still in effect from where he's put it on earlier. He tilted his head and twirled a blade in his hand slowly before stepping forward, bringing one of his swords down, the other readying to block in case Jongin would block and attack at the same time.
Jongin ( sh ) 11 years ago
@Tao Jongin's lip twitched up into a slight, sarcastic smile at the olders cockiness, "so sure of your success already? Pride before a fall," he said with a smart tone as he quoted one of his favorites, he was known for quoting proverbs all the time. Pulling his two favorite Seraph blades from their sheaths on his back, he twirled them both at the same time, testing them out as he warmed up a bit, after he had taken a few steps away from Tao of course. "Your move first," Jongin said evenly, finishing up to let the sharp silvery tips of the swords point down wars to the floor in a slight angle.
Himchan 11 years ago
@Godfrey Gao The older accusations had the male hissing again in discontent. Not a legitimate job or not, he worked hard in dealing with the lot of them, putting aside his precious time - not that he had anything better to do anyways - for the more irritable of the population. They were just lazy the whole lot of them, unwilling to do the work themselves. "I say it is, and so it is." He just wasn't willing to argue the matter; it paid, and so it was a proper job, that was what he concluded and would thus far believe. But even that being put, Himchan knew better than to mess with the older warlock, least he officially screw himself over. As reckless as he was, he wasn't dull in the head. And so thus, the male pipped down his hiss to an angry simmer, temper still visible in the air around him. Relax as he might, but his four years held attitude was impossible to fix.

His problem? He had no problems, it was the rest of the world who held the issues. Himchan was not at fault. Plastering a pseudo smile, the warlock cocked his head innocently, "Whatever could you be talking about? I don't have a problem with everyone. I don't a problem with you, do I?" Not as much as he did with the other races anyways. Other warlocks were so much more bearable. "At least I haven't started a genocide yet?" It was stated as more of a question, as if asking the older for permission. But of course, as the precious metals were pulled from Godfrey's bag, Himchan's eyes doubled in size, his simmering anger and annoyance vanished. That only lasted a moment's notice however, as the younger instantly turned to scowl. "I am not a child," he rolled, again narrowing his eyes, "I've plenty gained in age to be considered a full grown adult now, thank you." His eyes, however, had already lost its interest on the warlock, again moving to chase after the gems. "Now if you could kindly tell, how did you get your hands on those?"
Godfrey Gao [A] 11 years ago
@Himchan "That thing you call a job, isn't exactly a job, Himchan." Godfrey shook his head as he shut the door behind him and sat down in his chair. The dark leather chair sunk a bit as he sat and he closed his eyes in thought to go over what he wanted to address with the younger. "First off, don't get an attitude with me, child." he opened his cat-like eyes at the younger, the gold around his pupils glimmering.

"Second, I know we've discussed this, but what exactly is your problem with other Downworlders, Shadow Hunters, and mundanes?" he asked bluntly. Godfrey reached into his bag and pulled out the expensive gems, watching how the light bounced off them. "These are nice gems...it's funny how perfect you think you are, huh? I mean, you act like a child, you're a greedy little urchin..." he trailed off and set the gems down.
Tao 11 years ago
@Jongin Tao grinned and took his seraph blades from the dummy, grabbing his weapons belt and strapping it back around himself, not feeling like putting on the black shirt and stiff scratchy black jacket on. It wasn't needed, after all. It wasn't like Jongin had a vile of demon poison that he'd dip his blades in then stab Tao. The taller of the two gave a grin as he tilted his head at Jongin, stepping so close he was a foot away from the younger. "So...are you ready to be beaten by me?"
Himchan 11 years ago
@Godfrey Gao From the very outlines of his path, Himchan had learned early on in his life: trust no one. Especially not the petty mundanes. Stolen away and taken advantage of since the day he'd set off on his own from the little shack of an orphanage - if you could even call the run down little thing that, seeing as all the children of the village at the time were present there - Himchan had learned against trusting the mundanes but rather downgrading them for the lowly mortals they were. It was no wonder he hated sneak ups from the back, as Geofrey seemed to have a habit of doing to him - or rather, may be due to the cause that Himchan never paid too well of an attention to anything in the immediate world.

A huff of discontent placing his pink lips, the warlock nodded grimly, assuming the older - god damned those hundred years of advance he's got on him - wasn't to take a no for an answer. All just having been dragged to the floor of destination, an immediate reaction cracked from the boy as his worked prize was stolen. "H-Hey!" He hissed, eyes sparking dangerously, much like an actually cat (now he just needed those pushed down ears and stood up fur to be a cat), "I actually worked for that!" The boy glared up at the older warlock, narrowing his eyes to little slits. If there was anything in the world Himchan actually liked, it was those physical possessions - especially those sparkling gems mundanes seemed so eager at carrying around. This was the one an only trait he would willingly share with those trashed rats.

Clearly sulking, Himchan stomped childishly to the couches of Geogrey's "office", and flopped down, his attitude clear in his actions. "Well?" He snapped, none too eager, a half pout tugging at his bottom lip, "We're here and talking, whatever could it be that you want from me." He wasn't used to polite chit-chat; he hadn't done that in /years/ after all, everyone interested in his services in one way or another.
Jongin ( sh ) 11 years ago
@Tao Jongin peered into the very large training room, noting the torn up dummies first, seraph blades sticking out in all directions, giving it the appearance of a pin cushion of sorts. "Of course," The younger male replied easily, running a hand through his dark black hair before shutting the door behind him, dressed in his usual Shadowhunter attire, his two favorite seraph blades strapped in X-formation across his narrow back. "Feel up for a bit of a spar?" he asked as his face light up slightly with a careful smirk, his eyes looking playfully at Tao.
Godfrey Gao [A] 11 years ago
"You haven't done anything in particular this time. Can't I just talk to you, warlock to warlock?" He looked down at the other. When he had to look down at a person, he really had to look down considering his height of six feet and four inches, fairly tall by any standards. Himchan was the type of guy that hated everything and everyone, there was no pleasing him. Godfrey, on the other hand, learned early on to cherish all things, even if they seem stupid or simple. He had to get along with people for most of his life since his father was a ruler of Prussia for a short amount of time...until he cursed him, but that was different.

At last, they had reached their destination of Godfrey's office but not really office. He noticed the expensive gems in the greedy younger's hands and soon snatched them, tossing them into the bag he seemed to always have with him. It was a large bag, not in size but in space. He had a lot of things in there, large and small. "Sit down and I'll give you the gems back later, okay, princess Himchan?" Godfrey chuckled at his own sarcasm.
Himchan 11 years ago
@Godfrey Gao Himchan hadn't been paying a single attention to the world around him as he moved his way down the empty Institute hallway. It wasn't as if anyone was there to voter him, right? After all, the building was, as he'd noticed, most usually empty unless something terrible was at hand. That had been why the warlock had shamelessly dropped all his guards as he peered at the red stones drawn into the strings of gold. Pretty. He'd always had a knack for pretty things.

Yelping, Himchan near almost dropped the so-dubbed "pretty" red bracelet as he felt a hand grasp tightly to his shoulders. Whining in complaint was one thing, twisting, a spell ready to fire, to find his older warlock counterpart was a whole new one. Finding himself face to face with Godfrey, a man a good hundred years ahead of himself, Himchan frowned, his slim fingers running over the red beads of his price. "Hello to you too then," he huffed lazily, squirming a little under the heavy hand, "it's nice to see you as we'll on this quite fine day." He couldn't understand what exactly Godfrey's problem was this time. Sure, Himchan had in the past caused enough trouble to keep the man busy, but catching him on the act, when he hadn't done anything particularly serious, wasn't something Himchan had been expecting nor wanting. "And where exactly are you planning on dragging me off to this time? I haven't done anything wrong, you know." Though, if you dug into it, wanting to screw him over, you'd fine more than one show of Himchan's boredom.
Godfrey Gao [A] 11 years ago
@Himchan Walking the halls of The Institute, the rather old warlock hummed to himself. As usual, he could feel his younger warlock causing trouble. Why couldn't he just mind his business and appreciate everyone in the magical or non magical community? He was just as bad as prejudice bearing mundanes, that Himchan. And you'd think he'd be more mature, considering his 400 years of living. He found the young warlock and grabbed him roughly by the shoulder, tugging him aside. "And you're coming with me..."
Himchan 11 years ago
@Godfrey Gao By nature, Himchan was rash and far too hot headed to be considered to be considered a man of his age. He was a man - warlock, to be precise - that required constant entertainment, least a horribly brilliant idea popped into his head (given examples being starting petty bar fights between the werewolves on their own territory - it was funny how they would fight over even the simplest of matters). Frankly enough, it was a wonder on its own how the male had yet to be found and put down; needless to say, Himchan had his ways around. Who could ever suspect an innocent face as he? He had his mother's genes to thank for that one.

But on the days not swarmed with thoughts to entertain himself, the blond warlock often found himself with his hands full, taking careful care of customers that passed through the doors of his modest - nay, that dungeon of his was anything but modest, decked from door to door in magical remodeling - abode for a request. It was, after all, too far well known the warlock would do much for simple material possessions - especially the likes of gem. Perhaps that was why the blonde warlock found himself making his way to the institute that particular night, having only seconds before completed his miniature model of the great wall of China, a set grimace coloring his lips. Apparently, some - - traveling Shadow Hunter had managed to get themselves mauled by a demon. His original response to the call had been ("Well it to be him then. That's gonna sting in the morning.") to carefully turn down the offer - Shadow Hunters were his least favorite of all customers, what with their stuck up, ten foot hole up their attitude of the elders. But there were those that just refused to be turned down. No wasn't an appropriate answer in their ears.

"Maybe if you actually used your eyes instead of leaving them on as decoration," the warlock mumbled under his breath as he roughly patched up the warrior's back. It wasn't necessary to describe the irritation the man felt, emotions bouncing straight off from the way the male's eyes seemed to spark angrily. What the hell was he doing there aways, treating some brat who'd more than likely make the same mistakes again? Slapping the unwounded slip of skin on the male's back, Himchan declared himself finished and stormed out the room, only just barely stopping to receive payment for his service. Not nearly enough, he'd like to mention. But he'd already before expected such, adding a light curse onto the nam's wound so that it would forever itch irritably whenever the man's name was mentioned. It was a harmless curse, surely nothing anyone would suspect he had done. And for that, Himchan was more than proud of himself. "Taken care of like a pro," the warlock hummed happily, inspecting the ruby bracelet he'd gotten in return as he made through lazily the institute hallway.

Tao 11 years ago
@Jongin Tao held the seraph blades in his hands, moving them around his head and stepping forward, almost as if he were in some complex dance. He grit his teeth as he pushed the blade into a dummy. Pulling his shirt off since he was fed up with the amount of sweat clinging to his neck, shoulders, and back, he decided to climb up on the rafters and practice his balance and swiftness. He took a step onto the beam, grinning when he heard the door open. "Decide to join me then, Jongin~?" he asked as he walked down the beam, stopping in the middle and flipping off of it, grabbing a rope on the way down so he wouldn't fall so hard.
