@( ♔ ) im yoona "Oh, really?" Yixing blinked and tilted his head, letting his eyes drift back to her face. Who wouldn't think like that? He listened silently as she talked and nodded once she was done. "You should. And why would they even care if you're a halfling or not? They're just looking for someone to make fun of." He frowned a little and crossed his arms, suddenly feeling protective of Yoona. He hated those kinds of people who just say whatever they want to say without even thinking if they hurt the feelings of others. Though he didn't say anything else and huffed, leaning back on the chair. After a few seconds, he just sighed and decided to change the topic. "So, how does it feel like to fly?"
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing Yoona looked back at her wings, blowing off the excess lint they've acquired from sitting behind her clothes all day. Now that she thought of it, they did look a little like they were hovering over her back instead of being attached like a regular angel. "Ah, thank you," She muttered bashfully. No one usually comments on the positives of her wings, they were ridiculed more than praised. "You're the first to think so." The girl smiled, her teeth showing. "They're a burden to bear, actually. Sometimes they get heavy for some reason, and other times, they'd be criticized because I'm a halfling." She scoffed quite sadly, more than upset. "I love them, though." She smiled after hearing herself say the truth about the two feathered sides. Yoona accepted the ups and downs of carrying them on her back, even if they were a little stupid to her at times.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Yixing hummed at her words and shrugged. "Maybe. Let's just see what happens in the next few years. Though I do want to know what I would look like when I get older." He then remembered that they were already juniors, and that they only had one year left. "Hopefully we'll still be in touch in the future." He looked at her with a small smile on his face, already wondering if it will happen. "You would only be young on the outside, but not on the inside." He tapped his head twice to show her what he meant. "Who knows what you will experience in the future?" Watching as Yoona took off her glasses to clean them, he couldn't help but notice how angelic she looked with her bare face. A smile unconciously crept on his face when he saw her smile, and he quickly looked away and cleared his throat by the time she put on her glasses. However, his gaze went back to her when he caught something white from the corner of his eyes. He gaped a little when he saw her wings, because he had never seen an angel's wings before. "Wow, they're so beautiful." He whispered softly, not taking his eyes off of them.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing Yoona nodded in understanding, wondering about a few of her vampire friends' ages. She raised an eyebrow in thought, then wiped the look off her face with a few blinks. "Well, even so, you still look young. Must be nice to look young forever." She looked down at her hands resting on the table. "It's almost as if you have eternal youth if you're bitten at the right age." She chuckled, taking off her glasses to wipe them clean again. She was only a little embarrassed that she had her bare face on at the time, it's not like Yixing would care, he was thoughtful. Yoona smiled at her glasses, thinking she looked like an idiot for doing so. She placed her glasses back on her face and looked around, watching many people leave. She raised both eyebrows slightly in interest, then decided to spread her wings out comfortably, knowing almost all of the people left were from Lumei.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Yixing shrugged a bit as he heard her question. Now this was somehow difficult to answer. "From what I remember, it depends on how you became one." He hummed and tapped his chin, thinking of a way to explain it. "If you were born a vampire, like I was, you do age for, I don't know, a few years or so?" He tilted his head slightly, wondering if he was right or not. Even he didn't know much about his own kind, since he didn't really pay much attention to how old his parents were. But one thing's for sure, they looked young. "But if you became a vampire by being bitten, well, you're gonna look like that as long as you live." He nodded to this, recalling a time when he talked to one. Others thought that this was quite unfair, since some were bitten at quite a young age. "So don't bother asking about my age, because I'm as old as you." He chuckled and looked at Yoona, knowing that they were in the same year.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing "Well, I'm not so sure, I had no siblings, so I couldn't really tell." Yoona tilted her head and looked down, her lips shifting to the right of her face. Her irises shifted up in thought; this was something she definitely needed to look up sooner or later. She shook it off and decided to ask Yixing something about himself. "What about you? Do vampires even age at all?" She was genuinely curious, wondering if any of the stories were true. Do they stay at the age they're bitten or do they age? Since there were so many vampire movies, she didn't know what to believe. She knew they were real, but wasn't sure about the facts hidden in the rumors.
@( ♔ ) im yoona "Ooh, so you're a halfling. A rare type indeed." The vampire grinned at her and nodded in agreement. Out of all the species he had met before, she was the first halfling he has ever talked to. Because they weren't really allowed to mingle with humans, it did surprise him that out of all the species, her mother, an angel, decided to do it. This was the first time that he heard about an angel who, even a tiny bit, was a rebel, since angels were supposed to be always good and all that stuff. "Is that a part of being one? Growing faster?" Yixing asked out of curiosity. From what he remembered, angels aged slowly, but he wasn't very sure because he just read that out of a book that he randomly picked from the library.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing The girl smiled softly at his response, knowing her secrets were safe with him. Usually someone would go tell everyone about how much of a big dork she is. At least, that's what they did in dramas. Yoona shook her head at her thoughts, then giggled softly. She's not used to talking to other species about the 'types' of fallen angels there were. "Well, since my mom was made of many pure substances, and my father was a mortal, I'm sort of like a halfling. You'd be surprised that I actually grew faster than a normal angel of my kind." She shrugged and thought about it for a while. "Not a lot of mortals get to meet us, much less fall in us." Yoona bit her lip, then smiled to her feet. "My mother was a bit of a rebel." She mused. She wasn't sure if she was ever going to find someone who could help her feel more like herself. She was a little hopeless romantic, if that's what you want to call it.
@( ♔ ) im yoona "I promise that I won't let anyone know about this." He said. Yixing listened carefully to what she was saying, not letting a single word be unheard. He understood what she meant by only being liked because of their species, since it happened to him before. Chuckling at the part about being the youngest, he nodded and smiled a bit. "A rare type eh? What exactly do you mean by rare type?" He tilted his head. To him, she just looked like the other fallen angels he had met before. So, what made her different from them?
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing Yoona parted her lips slightly to protest, then thought a bit. She didn't want to get into some other argument about herself, so she decided to say something else. "Alright, well, I guess I can let you in on my personal life. It's not like anyone else is going to know," Yoona tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, thinking about what to say. "Well, since I'm a rare type of fallen angel, I think I had some weird appeal that made everyone like me. Long story short, they only like me for my species, not my personality." She sighed sadly, looking down at her fingers. Her eyelashes fluttered as she focused up on the boy in front of her. "Also, it's hard to speak up when you're the youngest, so..." The girl huffed. It was good to let out all those ugly secrets all bottled up inside, for once, she didn't care if anyone heard her, they would just have to deal with keeping her secrets safe.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Yixing raised a brow at her answer. Fake social? He clasped his hands together, leaning a bit closer over the table, suddenly becoming interested at what she just said. Yet he didn't interrupt her and just listened carefully to her words. "Then how did you become like this?" He muttered, his words almost inaudible. He always thought that everyone had a chance to choose what they wanted to be, but he thinks that this girl is going to prove him wrong. Being one of the normal students has never given him a problem, be it in his social life or his academics. So he was wondering, what made her become a queenka? "No, no, just continue. I want to hear more about you." He admitted and shook his head, waiting for her to speak again.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing She jutted out her bottom lip a little, surprised about his question. "Well, I like to take time off from being a fake social and try being myself once in a while. It's takes pressure off, you know?" She ranted on, wishing she'd become a rebel instead of a queenka, or at least someone normal, like a daydreamer. The girl pushed her glasses farther up the bridge of her nose and nodded. "I didn't choose to be this way..." Yoona pulled her legs into a criss-cross position and tapped the leather seat with her fingernails. Hearing herself say these things out loud carried her into deep thought, but right now, pondering on the mysteries of her own life had to wait until she was alone. "I'm sure you don't want to hear any more about me, anyway." She said, trying to erase the lingering words in her mind.
@( ♔ ) im yoona "Thanks." He smiled again and nodded, taking the seat across her. To be honest, he actually didn't know himself why he asked to sit with her. Maybe it was because he wanted someone to talk to, he didn't know. Placing an elbow on the table, he looked around, unknowingly tapping a beat on the solid surface and humming a song he had been listening to recently, not noticing that she has been staring at him. Hearing her question made him stop what he was doing and look at her. "I don't really know," He chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe I should be the one asking you that. What brings you here?" He asked and tilted his head slightly, getting curious why she was alone and not with her friends. He observed her again, thinking that she looked cute with her glasses on.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing The girl blinked in surprise, no one ever asks to sit with her, much less actually talk to her about her real self. She agreed anyways, it was probably nice to have change once in a while. As he smiled, she noticed the dimples he had, and smiled along as well. She always thought they were cute. "Ah, no, I don't mind at all." Yoona said, gesturing to the seat across from her. She held her head up while she waited for her irises to return to their dark coffee color. Seeing Yixing this close, she noticed his less prominent features she couldn't see from afar. He had pretty eyes, that's for sure. They were chocolate-colored, and there was a slight glint in his eyes that made them shine. Pretty eyes. Ack, God, she was staring again. Being a habit of hers, she scrunched her nose in the awkward situation they were having. To keep the awkwardness from rising, she decided to make conversation instead of ogling at the boy. "So, um... What brings you to my corner of solitude?" Yoona asked, almost physically slapping herself something that geeky. But of course, she genuinely wondered why he would come here and help her out with something so small, like picking up her book, which was resting on the seat next to her.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Yixing tilted his head and smiled back at her. "Why shouldn't I?" He watched her take off her glasses and he instantly recognized her. So that's why she looked like one of the queenkas, he thought. Because she is one. He chuckled mentally. Im Yoona, Lumei High's youngest queenka. Fallen angel, and a junior, just like him. He didn't really expect to see Yoona in the cafe, and it made him somehow surprised that she was wearing glasses and reading a book. Though he wasn't really bothered by that fact, since it was more like he was seeing the real side of her that no one has ever seen before. He actually liked seeing her like this. This side of her was the total opposite of the one he sees inside the campus. "If you're thinking that I'm going to judge you, I wouldn't. Though you do look really different." He chuckled softly and nodded at her. He didn't even need mind reading powers to know what she was thinking, since it was very evident on her face. Not wanting to just stand there, he cleared his throat and said, "Um... do you mind if I sit with you?". He put a smile on his face to show her that he didn't have any bad intention.
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing Yoona gulped. She wanted to crawl into a hole and die. Twice. Not only was this the boy she was staring at like a creepy monster, but her glasses were still fogged and her attire was way too simple than what she usually wears to school. At least he wasn't judging her out loud, like how others would in her younger years. Taking the book from his hand, she smiled weakly in gratitude. "Thanks, you didn't have to do that, though." Yoona sat back in the booth of her corner and took off her glasses to wipe them clean with the end of her shirt. The younger looked to the floor after placing her glasses back onto her face carefully. Her bangs fell in her face like a curtain, shielding her eyes a little. They turned golden out of timidity, and she didn't like when her eyes would shift colors quickly. She liked her natural eye color better, so she hid them with her hair.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Everytime Yixing looked at her, she always had a different expression on her face. This was one of the things he noticed while he was watching her read her book. By the time he was halfway through his latte, he saw a somewhat angry expression on her face and he chuckled softly. Looks like something bad is happening, he thought. He wondered how he was able to get a better view of her face, when he couldn't even see it earlier. He tilted his head when he noticed her looking at him, and raised his eyebrow. Well he didn't quite expect her to have a break from reading and just stare at him. He just continued sipping his drink and didn't even break the eye contact between them. Seeing that she did it for him, he shrugged and just continued staring at her. He knew that he probably looked like a stalker right now, so he decided to pause for a while. Not long after that, he heard a soft thump which made him look back at her. He saw that the book she was reading was on the floor, and he didn't hesitate to stand up and walk up to her to get it. He bent down and picked up the book before standing back up and giving it to her. "Here."
@( ✖ ) zhang yixing Yoona chewed on the inside of her cheek and squinted her eyes in anger. The author just killed off her favorite character in the freakin' book! She growled girlishly and leaned back in her chair, but as much as she wanted to continue reading, she couldn't. She felt someone's gaze upon her and decided to look up. Then, she spotted Zhang Yixing, vampire, junior. She recognized him from night class at Lumei. As their eyes met, Yoona couldn't help herself but stare a while. He was a mysterious boy to her, as she's never seen him anywhere outside of school. It was pretty interesting to see him at the cafe. After she realized she's been staring for quite a while, she looked back to her book, a small blush on her cheeks. The girl sipped her hot chocolate, the steam fogging her glasses a little. She scrunched her nose in embarrassment, then put her mug and book on the table to hold her place in it. Of course, as she took off her glasses, the book sprung up and closed on the floor. She held the bridge of her nose, repeatedly calling herself stupid.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Yixing walked into the cafe, wanting to have a short break from his studies. The scent of coffee welcomed him, making him smile when he smelled the strong yet familiar aroma. He liked coffee because it didn't really affect him. Looking at the spot where he usually sat, he was happy when he found it to be empty. He walked over to the counter and ordered a latte. While waiting for his drink, he went to his spot where only a small amount of sunlight came from the window. Yixing noticed that there were only a few people inside the cafe, so he decided to look at their faces out of boredom. There was one face he couldn't see though, because it was covered by a book. Judging by the person's clothes, she was a girl. While he was in the middle of trying to get a glimpse of the said girl's face, he suddenly heard his name being called, which meant that his drink was ready. He walked to the counter to get it, and went back to his seat. This time, he saw her face. He stopped on his tracks, remembering having seen her many times at Lumei before, but not exactly remembering her name. He shook the thoughts away and continued walking toward his seat, but not before glancing back at her and realizing something. She looks like one of the queenkas, he thought. He sat down and started drinking his latte, looking at her every now and then.
Today was her day off from work, Yoona's relaxing day. Of course, she always liked to spend her days off from work at the cafe in the place because she liked to check on things, if they were running smoothly like how they usually are. Seeing how the place wasn't exactly busy, she smiled to herself. She then slid on her red, thick-rimmed glasses as she strode off to find an empty seat in the cafe. Then she remembered her favorite corner of the cafe-shop. It was about the comfiest place in the joint, right next to the heater. Turning around, she headed towards it happily, her unfinished book still in hand. Hiding her face in the novel, she began scanning each word and event in the book continuously, her eyes never leaving the pages. She loved being herself, it was her escape from the pressures of being a social at school. Everyone expects her to be the smartest and prettiest she could be, which always gets annoying. Here, she could do whatever she wanted, and no one would judge her because they wouldn't know who she was. Yoona heard the bell on the door ring a couple of times, signaling people coming inside. She couldn't care less, all she did was continue reading happily. Of course, it was different when she sensed another supernatural enter the building.
@( ♕ ) an sukyung He caught the whisper. That's all he needed to know. His eyes flicked up to the menu board and he tried to remember what it was that Hyungsik had ordered the night he brought the angel here. Something sweet. Hopefully if he didn't order the right thing, the angel would still be grateful and glad that he had something sweet to eat. He nodded to himself. Good enough for him. He sighed and scuffed his foot against the ground, waiting for his turn to order.
Why the heck was this chick staring at him? He looked over his shoulder, hands still in his pockets, wondering if maybe she was looking beyond him instead of at him. Nope. Nobody behind him. He turned back around. "Can I help you?" he asked in a bored tone, wondering why she hadn't ordered yet. Or maybe she had and she was waiting for it. He jerked his chin to the counter. "You up or not? I kinda have places to be." Whoa ... hanging around Hyungsik had made him nicer. He blinked at himself.
@( ♕ ) an sukyung Zitao hated this time of day and it wasn't just because the sun was out, ruining his existence. His angel was in class, and being the good student that he was, he never skipped which meant the vampire had nothing to entertain himself with. He didn't like talking with others at all even if they somehow managed to always stumble into him, most often literally rather than figuratively. He was strolling down the sidewalk with his hood pulled up, finding his feet were taking him to the cafe he had been to once before. Why not go inside? Maybe he could buy a sweet treat for his angel and wait for him to get out of his classes. He stepped inside, keeping his hood intact as he waited in line. He snorted at himself. Since when did he become so domestic?
@( ✯ ) nam taehyun Amused by his panicked actions, Yoona covered to giggle. "Are you alright?" She stood up and patted Taehyun's back with a smile. She glanced to the latte he drank that probably burned his tongue and once again let out a few giggles, remembering the incident. This was totally different from how she would react to a scene like this, but she didn't care. It was good to let her real self show for once. Sitting back down, she puffed her cheeks and picked up the scone she took. Upon hearing a familiar growl coming from her stomach, she rolled her eyes and took a bite.
@( ♔ ) im yoona Taehyun finally got his order of a hot vanilla latte. He grabbed the large cup and went back to their table. His eyebrows furrowed at the sudden arrival of a flying pastry and napkin. He diverted his gaze to her, whose wings was visible. "Seems like someone's hungry." He let out a chuckle before taking a sip of his drink. Perhaps he didn't read the caution on the lid: that it was still burning hot. He felt the liquid burning his tongue and he immediately stuck out his tongue for some cold air. "Sh*t." He cursed under his breath as he ran to get a small cup of water, gulp it down and heaved a sigh of relief.
@( ✯ ) nam taehyun Yoona nodded as Taehyun left to get another drink. Scanning the area, she saw that there weren't many people left, so she contracted her wings. She quietly winced, but got over the pain soon after. She reached to her own drink and sipped quite a bit of it, trying to get rid of its contents. Upon feeling the liquid slide down , her stomach purred softly, as it does all the time. 'Dammit, you...' She d her belly and squinted at the snacks behind the counter. Using her telekinesis, she took a pastry and napkin from the display case and set it on the table. Yoona had the authority to do these things, she's the manager, after all.
@( ♡ ) park hyungsik Zitao stood there for a moment, glancing down at the table where Hyungsik had left the money. No. This was a date. The angel wasn't supposed to pay. Taking the money off the table, he replaced it with his own, putting the angel's in his pocket to be returned at a later time. He knew it didn't really matter, but he wanted at least one thing to have gone right this night, and he was supposed to pay since he had asked. The vampire was more than a little disappointed that Hyungsik had left on his own and he stayed behind for a spell to make sure he wanted run into him on the way back to the dorms. He shook his head and left the cafe himself, actually intending on not going back to campus.
@( ✖ ) huang zitao The angel nodded slowly, his eyes somewhat bright and he had found it difficult to breathe at the moment. He had no idea why his very own thought affecting him so much and it was really painful to not be able to hurt a self-inflicted mental pain. Sighing softly, he pushed himself off his chair and left some money for his sweet and affogato. He flickered his eyes toward Zitao's for a moment before looking away and walked out of cafe alone, not even bothering to answer the vampire. He just want to rest and think alone, with his wings blanketing his body so he could at least feel at peace
@( ♡ ) park hyungsik Push it? He had only asked one simple thing. Zitao fell silent, slumping back against his chair with his hands in his lap. His eyes flicked over the food when the angel declared he was done, noticing that there was still some leftover, a good indication that Hyungsik had lost his appetite. Which meant that the vampire had ruined everything by opening his stupid mouth. "I'll drop you off at your dorm," he whispered, standing up from his chair before pausing. "Or ... you can go on your own." He was pretty sure the angel didn't want to see him anymore tonight.
@( ✖ ) huang zitao "Don't push it," he warned in sharp tone, feeling very upset more to himself than to the other. Stupid, he cursed himself under his breath. He really got nothing good from all of these deal and he gave the vampire a heaven. Putting his cup down, he watched as the ice cream in his coffee starts to melt. "I'm full," he announced, barely touching the dessert or even finished half of his coffee. He really hadn't got any idea to what he should do now. He wanted to push himself off the chair and run away back to his dorm, locking himself in the room and stares at the wall or just simply leave and pretend that he's not somewhat 'owned' by the vampire. He hadn't got any energy to continue eating and he could just stare at the edge of the table, lost in deep thought of how to run away from whatever it is he was in
