Moon.

The new home of those who had escaped from the effects of the war which they have caused and led to devastate their home planet. The first pioneers who have colonized the moon were the extremely rich and powerful, many of them leaders of past countries that had existed before on earth. Leaving those who are simply ordinary people and therefore, unnecessary in the leaders' eyes, they ascended into space and orbited the wasted earth for many years before deciding to settle down on the moon. There, they built a colony, on the area between the dark side of the moon and the side that faced earth where it would be much more easier to collect energy from solar panels for the robotic divisions but not be always constantly exposed to the extreme light. The colony itself is buried half-underground, protected from the damaging ultra-violet rays of the sun and located more on the dark side.  plants and food are grown a distance away from the colony to support the human and cybor population on the light side.

Along with them, they also brought many animals which are not eaten for food, but simply kept as pets or for sight-seeing. However, unknown to the public, the committee does use some of them for fur or for necessary resources. Mining directly onto the moon, the colony, now called the district, was able to  harvest minerals to build lavish structures in the city which they reside in.

Technological advancement sped up after the first initial struggling years of actually surviving on the barren environment of the moon, and soon after, the first cyborgs and androids were created. from there, the population of them and the new introduction of tholorgrams exploded, driving many of the humans to become fodder for more leaps in science.

¤ The ¤

Government

The only thing you must know about the government? The Committee is always right. The Committee has the final word on everything, as well as the first word on anything. They make decisions for everyone and if you don't like it... well, you're out of luck. They are everywhere, every camera an eye and every microphone an ear. Rules are extremely strict, and enforced harshly. Many crimes will lead you straight to the death sentence or simply into being terminated from existence. For the most part, you would be wise to live your life skirting their wrath and following all rules, and do your best not to waver.

When you reach the age of 18, you are officially an adult and your working life begins. At this age, you will be taken in to testing. This test will decide your fate, your job for the rest of your life. The job that you are recommended for is typically the one that people will indeed take, but few risk takers may choose to tempt fate and try something that was not suggested for them. The Committee warns all people, that such an act could lead to dangerous consequences.

The Committee stresses that the Moon Colony is a place where all are equal, but ask anyone else, and they will tell you straight-things are not fair, and the people are not equal. Humans, even Specials, are the bottom of the heap, and you would be lucky to get any respect  as a human. The best you can do is climb the ranks, escape Uglihood, and move on to become something that is of more worth. Holos and Cyborgs are on quite even ground, both with their drawbacks and advantages, but it is clear to all what the superior race is. Androids get all they want, and more. The best jobs, the respect, the abilities, the credits... anything.

The Committee discourages any questioning about Earth, especially the members who were originally humans that pioneered the colonization of the Moon. Many Uglies whisper rumors about it, about what is down there. The Committee insists that it is a dead planet, that no life may survive, but it would not be strange to hear a tall tale of lights flickering down on the dark planet. No one has visited it since the humans all left, or no visitations that have been publicized. There are rumors of some members of the Committee going back to Earth, but they will be quick to discount these claims if such things are heard.

¤ The Rules of the Colony ¤

The District is completely segregated, no lowly Human is able to usually ever mingle with an Android. There are separate facilities for all of the Divisions, and while some can be accessed by the Cyborgs who can use both facilities, most of them are only open to that certain Division it was made for. When meeting a member of a Division higher than they are, that person must show the uttermost respect to the superior member. If not, the superior is able to report to the inferior Division member and their case will be presented to the Committee, usually leading to the termination of that inferior Division member. No one is ever allowed to leave the Colony, under no circumstances whatsoever without facing the terrifying prospect of the Committee's punishments. Credits are earned with the amount depending on the job and can be saved for future investments or spent as money.

Androids - The very pinnacle of society, the Androids have every privilege available in the District and can usually earn credits even without working. They live in the highest lofts of the grandest towers, having magnanimous space for their pleasure and the stunning view over the city along with having the most luxurious facilities to use. The Second-Lifers employ many Sims for their servants and slaves, but usually have a few Cyborgs who also work behind the scenes. They look down upon the other Divisions, being taught that as machines, any Human is merely scum and Holograms are simply nothing. However, they do somewhat respect Cyborgs for their half-machine bodies, but still do not hold them in very high regards.

Cyborgs - The middle class between the Androids and Humans, Cyborgs embody values of both Divisions. They are allowed to use some Android facilities, but not the exclusive ones. The majority of the artists and singers are Cyborgs, somewhat well-respected among the Androids. They either work in heavy construction or working areas or as various types of entertainers. Their housing areas also are situated in the middle floors of the housing towers with somewhat decent living spaces, though just enough so that they can have a comfortable living and not be too cramped with others.

Humans - The lowest Division in the District, the Humans have almost next-to-nothing in terms of credits for comfort or living quarters. Their apartments, if you could call a 20room dorm as such, are extremely packed together and located at the very bottom of the housing towers. Most often, they are also forced to share their living quarters with other Humans, though the Committee has deemed that there can only be a maximum of 4 people per apartment. Even among the Humans, Specials and Pretties live on different floors, the Specials living in higher ones that are closer to Cyborg livings and not required to have so little space, while the Pretties, with their shallow minds, do not mind having to live in their small cramped quarters in the lower levels. The facilities reserved for Humans are not so splendid, but there are so many of them that anyone can simply go to one of their facilities if needed.

Holograms - Holograms need no such place to live, therefore they reside in the central core of the Division. The central core is a massive intellectual base with vast pools of knowledge collected by various Holograms and shared to all Holograms throughout the Division. They are also able to appear on various screens of devices, ranging from the very large to the most portable ones, depending solely on the power they possess and what type of Hologram they are.

divisions

¤ Human ¤

The lowest Division of society within the District, most Humans work as low-wage workers or simply for types of jobs that the other Divisions do not wish to do. However, they are the driving force of the District and the largest population out of the 4 Divisions, and the Committee takes great care to keep the population of Humans high in order to support the economy of the District. All Holograms and Cyborgs must have been born as a Human at one time or another.

Uglies - The youngest sort of humans, the Uglies are usually those under the age of `6. They are taken from their parents before the age of 1 and are kept in dorms with other children and trained to want to become a Pretty. Only knowing that their main goal is to become a Pretty, Uglies have no knowledge of what Pretties really are. Robotic caretakers monitor each child's progress and determine which one will be able to continue to become a Pretty, while those deemed unfit will take jobs as the lowest of the lowest, even among the Humans.

Strengths

Larger creativity capacity.

Able to express any sort of emotions freely.

No Reliance on technology.

Weaknesses

Normal immune system.

Normal reflexes, mental and physical capacities.

No additional functions.

Pretties - Encompassing the majority of the humans, the Pretties are absolutely stunning to look at, with perfectly proportioned and symmetrical features. When an Ugly turns 16, they are taken from the Uglies facility if deemed healthy enough and given their first operation to become a Pretty. Most adults are Pretties, and they can change how they look absolutely multiple times throughout their lives if they have the credits and desire to do so. However, with the operation they recceive to change from an Ugly to a Pretty, there is also a secret implantation of lesions in the new Pretties' head to make them much more obedient and rid them of violent intentions.

Strengths

Perfec teeth, symmetrical faces, stronger muscles and bones and perfectly proportioned eyes.

Boosted immune systems and reflexes.

Ceramic bones and teeth.

No reliance on technology.

Weaknesses

Prone to giving in to pressure by society and much more likely to party and be hungover.

Personality can change completely from who they were as an Ugly, becoming simple-minded and shallow in personality.

Unable to process violent emotions.

Uncreative and unable to imagine.

Specials - For those Pretties who have proved to be extremely successful within the District, they are contacted privately and given the option of becoming a Special. A Special is a Pretty who is once again given another operation to remove the lesions from their brains and thus, returning them to the creative state of an Ugly. They are meant to look terrifying and are given abilities that can rival those of the Cyborgs. Their occupations usually encompass keeping the Uglies compliant and making the Pretties stay where they belong and not cause too much trouble by continuing with the jobs they had as a Pretty in order to keep an eye on those around them. However, their memories are lost of their past life [also given new names, no last names] and all they know is to obey the Committee's every command to them.

Strengths

The ability to listen through walls with their hands.

Enhanced senses.

Can digest almost anything and extract nutrients from it.

Orbital alloy teeth, ceramic bones.

Perfect teeth, symmetrical faces, stronger muscles and bones and perfectly proportioned eyes.

Boosted immune system and reflexes.

Weaknesses

Cannot pass through electrical fields without natural violent reactions [usually throwing up or dizzy from headaches]

Ways to identify a Special:

Coal-black eyes and hair.

Pale skin.

Lean, animalistic stances.

Colder-than-normal skin.

¤ Hologram ¤

Before a Human dies and if they have enough credits, there is the option of becoming a Hologram. A Hologram are those who do not possess a body, yet their minds are melded directly into the information system, creating a pool of knowledge that can be used for the District. They have a collective area of knowledge which each Hologram can choose to share their information with others, and their own section of the system where they store their personal memories and thoughts. Even though they maybe located in the computer system, they can still retain their personalities and thoughts, expressing their emotions through projections of screens or holograms. A Hologram can switch bck and forth from being a Sstationary to a Free-Lancer or vice versa, though they will only have that type's traits when in that form.

Stationary - These Holograms are the most knowledgeable and controls the majority of the iformation running through the District. Being connected directly to the central cored of the District, they possess the most information and can usually find whatever they wish to find in a matter of nanoseconds. However, being only located in the central core of the District, they cannot move around in portable devices or transmit themselves from a screen.

Strengths

Able to possess and control vast pools of knowledge.

Can hack directly into other Hologram's personal memories.

Override security breaches.

Control parts of the District.

Find any sort of information extremely quicly.

Can hijack a body easily.

Weaknesses

Depends directly on the power of the District [power goes down, they disappear]

Can lose their personalities in the community pools of knowledge.

Unable to transmit devices [become portable].

Easily meld together with other Holograms to become corrupted and disappear.

Free-Lancers - The other type of Hologram, Free-Lancers are Holograms who can project themselves into 3-D models. They are able to switch portable devices that can support a Hologram and interact more easily with other Divisions. Unlike Stationary Holograms, Free-Lancers cannot directly transmit information to themselves without having to hook their devices straight into the cenral core. They also need others to transport their projectors for them to sense different things, though they are still able to see and hear what they can from their position.

Strengths

Able to disconnect from the central core onto smaller devices.

Can jump from devices and hack them.

If the device has a camera or microphone, they can also see and hear.

Can project a 3-D image of themselves out in mid-air.

Draws energy from solar panels, portable energy source.

Able to hijack a body, though this is extremely difficult.

Weaknesses

Can be easily overriden by other Holograms.

Cannot hack into programs.

Can only donate and receive information from the memory pools from the Stationary Holograms [Cannot control the information].

Requires others to carry their projectors.

Can disappear from existence at any moment.

Easily hacked by Stationary Holograms.

Hijacking a Body

If a Hologram were to be tired and restless of being stuck in a machine without a body, there is the option of hijacking a body from either a Cyborg or Android. By forcing their conscience onto the body, it will either expel the mind already there to become a Hologram or if the mind is weak enough, simply just disappear. The Hologram will then have absolute and complete control of the body, but no memories or thoughts of the mind that previously occupied it. No one has ever been successfully able to hijack the body of a Cyborg however, with the many complications presented by the human side and the limit of mechanical parts which will usually kill both Division members. However, they are able to sometimes control the mechanical limbs or functions of the inorganic materials, bending at least part of the Cyborg to their will. FOr Androids however, the task is much more easier especially for Sims. SInce Sims do not have a mind beforehand, the Hologram will have an easier time to hijack the body though most Sims produced nowadays have a self-defense mechanism that will utterly shut-down the body if it detects a Hologram trying to hijack the body. On the other hand, Second-Lifers are most susceptible to hijacking, especially when charging the body to the central core since the mind inside the body is like a Hologram except with a body and no external information. Once a Hologram hijacks the body, they will become the Dvision member without any of their former Hologram abilities. Even with all of these negative connotations, hijacking a body can potentially be able to revive or jumpstart a dead mechanical body if necessary. Those formerly a Hologram who have hijacked a body are widely respected, for only the most skilled or lucky are actually able to pull off such a feat without terminating themselves.

¤ cyborg ¤

The melding of mechanical parts onto a Human and an Android. However, the amount of inorganic materials fused onto the Cyborg can vary from individual, though none can have more than 75% mechanical parts replacing human parts. They do much of the in-between work, types that require strength yet delicacy though some have entered into the combat and defensive state as well. With both their human capacity to strive and the mechanical parts to do things effectively, they are the powerhouse of the Division, though unlike the Humans, Cyborgs are treated fairly and somewhat respected by the Androids because of their inorganic parts. All Cyborgs are required to display their mechanical parts so that all Divisions may know that they are a Cyborg and therfore, cannot disguise themselves as another Dvision.

Strengths

Exceed mechanical capacity of 100% with human will.

Requires little sleep.

Can change mechanical parts [not limbs].

Diverse field for work and jobs.

Mental and physical capacity heightened by multiple times with extra mechanical parts.

Extremely heightened senses.

Keeps the strengths of what sort of Human they were before.

Weaknesses

Requires either extreme amounts offood to support both sides of their body or sixeable portions of both food and energy.

Mechanical parts can  often freeze and throw the Cyborg into paralyzing.

Cannot pass through electrical fields without passing out and sometimes dying.

Can be easily short-circuited.

Cannot feel or sense anything through their mechanical limbs.

Cannot survive without the mechanical limbs or parts.

Becoming a Cyborg

Cyborgs can orginate from any status of Humans; either Uglies, Pretties or Specials but they must be at least 18 years of age before it is deemed safe for them to be fused with the machine. Most of the Cyborgs though, are either Pretties who have been simply taken in to become Cyborgs or have the credits to become Cyborgs or Specials who are so exceptional they are instantly promoted to become a Cyborg. The process of becoming a Cyborg is a long and tedious one, requiring multiple operations and having to put the Human on stasis for the entire duration or else the body will shock itself. The more mechanical parts that are fixed onto the body, the longer the mind must be put to sleep and therefore, the risk of amnesia increases with every hour. Some Cyborgs awaken again without any memories of their previous lives and though very rarely, some nevery awaken either.

¤ Android ¤

The top Divisions out of all the Divisions in the District, the Androids are robots who are designed to look exactly like Humans and seem very much like them. Of course, they are not human and therfore cannot reproduce, which has led to the many factories and production lines for them. All Androids are wealthy and enjoy the best priviledges there is to offer in the District, being the government officials and those who handle control over all the other Districts. Most of the Androids that make up the Division are past leaders who have transmitted their minds to these machines or simply machines in themselves who have been made then developed their own consciences.

Second-Lifers - Though called Second-Lifers, some of these minds who occupy the Android body are in their two-digit number lives. These compose of thosw who are wealthy to actually scan their minds before death and can afford a body to be able to use, unlike a Hologram. Most of the most powerful Second-Lifers are those who have actually pioneered to the Moon and either have been a Hologram then hijacked a body or simply just transferred their mind to an Android then  moved onto other bodies when their current one wore down. These Android bodies can be designed to look like how the person was in their Human life, or completely different to make a bold statement to the world. However, when transferring to an Android body, there will always be a certain part of their mind unable to scan completely into the body [Ex: Unable to listen to music, only hears static] and they will lose a section of their memories. They can also back up their minds onto the central core in case something happens to their Android bodies, though it is a long and difficult task which has led to only the very elit to be able to.

Strengths

Keeps all of their past memories from different bodies.

Mechanical body vastly surpasses all of the other Divisions.

Mental and physical capacities exceed by many times what they had in their Human life.

Able to switch from body to body easily if needed.

Can shut off pain receptors.

Needs no sleep nor rest.

Extremely heightened sense and pleasure receptors.

Weaknesses

Body fails, the mind will die along as well.

Cannot pass through electrical fields without short-circuiting and dying.

Must charge body often or have some sort of energy source.

Loses a certain portion of their mind.

Susceptible to hijacking.

Mind can be overridden by the electrical currents and disappear.

Cannot heal and therefore, must be repaired often.

Simulations [Sims] - Simulation Androids, or Sims for short, are Androids who do not have a mind occupying them and therefore, have developed their own consciences. However, they are not able to usually express much emotions and can be programmed to only obey a certain caction or person. Many of them work as personal servants, slaves or pleasure-toys for the wealthy Second-Lifers.

Strengths

Mechanical body vastly surpasses all of the other Divisions.

Able to switch from body to body easily if needed.

Can shut off pain receptors.

Needs no sleep nor rest.

Weaknesses

Cannot pass through electrical fields without short-circuiting and dying.

Must charge body often or have some sort of energy source.

Susceptible to hijacking.

Can become 'corrupt' and do malicious things.

Cannot express much emotions past the basic ones.

Cannot heal andtherefore, must be repaired often.

Ways to Identify an Android

Glassy eyes, if looked carefully at.

Rigid and jerky motions.

Voices are monotone or very smooth.

Faces do not have the range of emotions as a Human or Cyborg.

No pulse, no breath, skin is absolutely cold.

Metal and circuitry underneath silicon skin.

Odd scratches and marks on the skin without blood or fluids when injured.

No hair on the body except for on head.

¤ THE ¤

Committee

¤ The district ¤

Commissioner

Available

One of the first leaders who had colonized the Moon, the District Commisioner was quite an old man and therefore, requested his mind to become a Hologram. After many centuries of being a Stationary Hologram and aiding the District through his guidance that way along with absorbing many of the other Holograms, he soon became bored and tired of not having a body. Therefore, using the vast power and knowledge he had gathered throughout his years iinside the central core of the District, he was able to hijack a Sims and claimed it as his own. From there, he naturally re-assumed his position of power from the early days and continues to be the natural leader of the Committee. Any decision made by the Committee must pass through him, and he has the power to null any laws passsed without his consent.

¤ The ¤

Credit Keeper

Available

The superfluous wife of the District Comissioner, the Credit Keeper instead decided to transfer her mind into one of the prototype Androids instead of becoming a Hologram. From there, she has always had a position in the Committee, having so much money and power that she could amost literally have anything she wants. However, she is very stingy with the money that she controls absolutely, reserving much of it for herself and her husband, only allowing the other Districts to have the bare minimum. Her styles often set the trend for other Androids to follow, as she is the "fashion icon" of the District. In fact, it was such a long time ago that she was Human that no one except for her and the District Commissioner, remembers what she actually looks like as a Human.

¤ The Cyborg¤

Commander

- Taken -

Kai

The leader of the Cyborgs, the most powerful and strongest of all Cyborgs. Therefore, the Cyborg Commander is extremely confident in who he/she is and will not hesitate to show that to others. Formerly a Special before becoming a Cyborg, this commander is 68% mechanical and is still adding on more parts to become even more robotic. The being possesses a mechanical heart and half of the major organs have been replaced with inorganic parts. Unlike many other Cyborgs, the Cyborg Commander possesses a laswer gun inside of the cyborg arm and therefore, is armed at all times.
