Rules

The following information is important to your understanding of the roleplay. Please read it carefully and feel free to ask questions if you are confused.

『 Dark Soul 』

001: Dark Souls, those that were wronged and killed [directly or indirectly] in their previous life, have been reincarnated into new bodies and have powers. Along with going through regular puberty, they experience vague memories of their past lives, deaths, and new powers.

002: Powers are related to the manner in which the character died in a past life. For example, Yuri was ordered to buried alive by the king, therefore he has the power to manipulate plants. Lalisa was left to freeze to death and so her power is cryokinesis. Stephen was a guard who contracted an illness while on a mission; he was refused treatment, which caused his death, and in the present has the ability to heal.

003: Hand of Glory, Omnipotence, Mind Control, Blood Bending, and Immortality are not allowed in this roleplay. No powers that involve the control of another character’s mind or body are allowed.

004: We expect weaknesses for all powers. For example, Yuri’s power is agrokinesis, but he is vulnerable to fire and herbicide. He is weak in barren areas. Manifesting plant life also drains him physically.

005: No dark soul character is completely aware of their past life until the first event, which is the Spring Awakening. During the Spring Awakening, all dark soul characters will become aware of all events that occurred in their past lives.

006: If you happen to plot who is your reborn killer, please inform one of the admins. Otherwise, you will be paired with a reborn killer during the first event.

007: The following is a sample application for a Dark Soul character:
 
♢ character name: Stephen James
♢ age: 23
♢ Profession: Boxer
♢ brief background [modern day]: due to his previous acts of separating children from their parents for slavery, Stephen was abandoned as an infant in the present day. Karma shall avenge every wrong even if a dark soul committed it. He became a boxer solely because of his powers, for he could come out of any match unharmed.
♢ brief background [past life | please explain how you died]: He was a guard in the castle which got assigned to investigate a certain area in the land and bring back slaves. (un)fortunately, he got infected with a deadly disease and abandoned the mission to seek medicine. However, in fear of contagion in the castle, the king had ordered his banishment.
♢ who killed you: The king.
♢ powers: He was denied medicine so he gained the power to heal others and himself.
♢  limitations to powers: Stamina. He has to knock out for a certain amount of time, based on the amount of healing once his body cannot handle regenerating. If it's a small to mildly deep wound he is most likely to endure without passing out. But being a boxer, he will be absolutely a wreck after matches. Passing out could stretch to an entire day.

『 reborn killer 』

001: Reborn Killers are those that have wronged and killed [directly or indirectly] another character in a past life. Directly, for example, would be stabbing another character. Indirectly, for example, would the king ordering that Yuri be buried alive.

002: These characters do not have powers.

003: Reborn Killers do not recall their past throughout their lives. They will, however, become completely aware of their past during the Spring Awakening.

004: The following is a sample application for a Reborn Killer character:

♢  character name: Soohyuk Vilhelmi
♢  age: 45
♢  profession: The King
♢  brief background [modern day]: Soohyuk is currently the kind and beloved King of Elysia. He’s married to Gal Vilhelmi, with whom he has two children, Sen and Lalisa.
♢  brief background [past life]: In the past, he was a prideful, greedy king. He ordered many conquests to expand the borders of the kingdom. Slavery was a common practice and servants too had few rights. Aristocrats prospered under his rule, but commoners suffered. He had a daughter, Lalisa, with the queen, Anneliese Vilhelmi. He also had a son, Sen, with a concubine, Gal Gadot.
♢  did you kill someone in the past: Yes. He killed multiple people.
♢  if yes, who did you kill and why: Yuri Park and Stephan James are two of Soohyuk’s victims. Yuri was buried alive for falling in love with the princess. Stephan James was refused treatment for his illness. It is possible that the King caused more deaths considering his cruel, uncaring, and brutal nature in the past.

『 Innocent 』

001: Innocents are characters who have neither killed nor have been killed.

002: These characters do not have powers.

003: Innocents do not recall their past throughout their lives. They will, however, become completely aware of their past during the Spring Awakening.

004: Please remember that Innocents may have still had their fair of struggles even if they weren’t murdered. We encourage you to be creative and to cultivate rich plots.

005: The following is a sample application for an Innocent character:

♢ character name: Gal Gadot
♢ age:  45 years old
♢ profession: Reigning Queen
♢ brief background [modern day]: An israeli girl born in poverty, yet resulted in an unexpected turn of success from pure hard work and achievement. She was quite a diligent girl in her education, as she she acquired a degree in Law, in which she integrated into her royal responsibilities upon becoming the wedded wife of today’s King.
♢ brief background [past life]: Who would have known that the woman sitting on the throne of a grand castle would have had the social status of a pariah? Taken in as a concubine by the king himself, a mere wench who surprisingly earned the favor of the man she served. Conceived an illegitimate child; their truths concealed by the exile caused by her own sin — only to have unintentionally wreaked havoc within the walls of the royal fort.
♢ did you kill someone in the past: No; innocent.
♢ if yes, who did you kill and why [please state if you may have killed more than one person]: please state if you have plotted with someone | if not, you will be paired with a dark soul and you don’t worry about filling out this last section.
