CEO Godfrey Gao has released a public statement regarding what the show will be about, "Although, at the start of the survival show, 'Countdown' I stated that the group going through 'Versus' will be the one with the members changed, but in the end I decided to go with both GROW and AtL to disband. This will be a very unique survival show, different from the survival shows that have been showing lately. We will have a maximum of eighteen trainees participate in this survival show. Since we have both ALICE and 30SECONDS debuting we will not debut another female group for the time being. The group that will debut in this survival show will be a boy group. There will be four teams in this survival show. Each of these teams will have two fixed members. And all teams will debut, but during a certain time, or whenever I see fit. Each team will be mentored by a winner from the awards ceremony and a solo artist. The groups will be chosen by the mentors. Each group will have two weeks to prepare a stage and then perform it infront of a panel of judges. Fans will be able to vote, it will be the fan's responsibility to choose what team will debut first, second and third."
When asked about who will the coaches be and the fixed members were the press asked Myungsoo, who was also present at the press conference, this question, "I will be a coach for one of the teams that I personally picked. As for who will be fixed members... I'll have to let the CEO announced that, I'm scared that if I tell you L.I.V.E. might be disbanded!" Myungsoo said jokingly.
Reporters went to the CEO and asked him regarding the second half of the question and he freely answered. "Group 1's fixed members will be Nam Taehyun and Leo. Group 2's fixed members will be Taecyeon and TK. Group 3's fixed members will be Jongup and B-Joo. Group 4's fixed members will be Minwoo and Kyungsoo. As for the coaches, Myungsoo will be one, so will Yongguk, and possibly two other L.I.V.E. members. The solo artist coaches will be decided and announced later."
When asked to explain more in depth of fixed members, Myungsoo gladly answered the question to the press, "As the CEO has explain there will be fixed members and there will also be a stage that must be prepared at the end of two weeks to present to the judges. The winning team of that round will have their member be safe. The losing teams will have members traded between the three losing teams. Mentors from other teams will be allowed to steal one member of the team. Each time should have two new members at the end of the process. All other members are allowed to be stolen EXCEPT for the fixed members. For example, let's say Group 1 wins the round. Now the mentors of Group 2, 3 and 4 must steal one member from each of the losing teams. Group 2 must steal one member from Group 3 and Group 4. Group 3 must steal from Group 2 and Group 4 and so on and so forth. They are not allowed to steal fixed members. Now let's say that mentor from Group 1 and mentor from Group 2 want the same member. If so, the member may choose what team they want to be on."
How do you feel about this new survival show? Is it fair that all the groups get to debut? Is it a bit confusing? What are your thoughts on this new show?
