[Obi-Wan Kenobi voice] Hello there! I'm Nikki, feel free to call me that, Queenie or by, any of my characters' names. I've been on this site since 2012, having migrated from AFF (Asianfanfics) and Facebook rping. However, I've been rping in various formats for much longer, mostly in the Harry Potter and anime fandoms. So at this point I have,e about 14+ years of rping experience altogether. I love to read and eventually grew to love writing, which is the main reason you see me still around here. I love making characters and world-building and writing with people. I am currently a full-time university student (though as of 2022 I have been taking a break to focus on my deteriorating health). I'm also an artist and creator using various media. This includes writing original fiction books, writing fanfiction, creating rps, making edits/graphics (a new skill I'm working on), drawing, singing, dancing, and crafting.

As far as K-Pop goes, I've been a fan since late 2007, so I'm mostly a 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen stan. That being said, I do know of and have a few 4th Gen artists that I know and love, but at this point, I'm more of a casual fan in general, and this is towards all genres and artists that I enjoy. I barely watch variety shows, even if my favorite artist is on the episode. The only time I am aware of things going on in the lives of celebrities in any industry is if it comes across my timeline more than once, and even then since I'm barely on social media at this point.

if you post an advertisement on my wall without following my rules, not only will the advertisement be deleted but you run the risk of me blocking you. I know this seems like an extreme response, but if you can't respect or follow my advertising rules then how can I expect you to respect me as a fellow rper or follow rules in a roleplay? that being said, at this point in my rpr career I tend to stick to my own roleplays and roleplays made and run by friends, so the likelihood of me joining a roleplay outside of that is slim, but still, feel free to leave an advertisement as long as it follows my rules and criteria.

do not advertise any nonau or semiau roleplays. I don't prefer them so if I want to join one I will look for it myself. in the same vein, do not advertise single orientation roleplays. this means only, yuri only, or straight only. again, if I want to join one I will look for it myself. My and yuri muse fluctuates but generally speaking most of my characters will be either biual or panual. very rarely will I have a fully heteroual character or a fully homoual character.

 

to make sure you've read and followed these criteria, when posting your advertisement, end it with the word "luna" as well as at least two of my muses that are available and/or you'd like to see in the roleplay.

my ultimate favorite concept will roleplay that allow original characters regardless of the overall theme of the roleplay. this gives the greatest amount of creative freedom and I seriously love it. as such, unless it's a nonau, you will notice that every roleplay I make allows for original characters.

other concepts/themes I like are mythology of any kind (but I'm a mega for greek, roman, and Celtic), school (though since I do not roleplay characters under the age of 21 internationally I will only accept university/college themes or a school system that allows for these aged students), city, entertainment (though as the owner and creator of the last standing longest ent au on rpr, I've become quite picky about the ones I join), mafia/gang, supernatural, fantasy and sci-fi. if your roleplay combines any of these in any way I'm more likely to at the very least check it out if not actually join, quite frankly anything with heavy lore or world-building is going to earn a check out from me since that's probably my one true weakness. abo roleplays have been hit or miss for me (mostly on the miss) so I'm not likely to join one but I might still check it out, especially if it's not only.

I prefer writing in detailed 3rd pov. this is mainly because it allows me to connect with my character better and analyze how they would act and react in different scenarios and therefore tell their story more concisely. That being said, I do also tend to write relatively straigstraightforwardlynerally do not use purple prose, but I do like to get descriptive with my writing, especially when it comes to my characters' thoughts and emotions (and even more so when they are not showcasing them). blame it on my tendencies as an author I suppose.

please note that I am perfectly fine writing in detailed script if that's what my rping partner prefers and I can also do 1st pov, though I generally tend to avoid doing so if possible. as for grammar, you will typically see me using proper grammar and sentence structure unless a specific character calls for something different. at the end of the day, I'm an author and want you to connect with my character as much as possible. I will always write a minimum of one paragraph but I can go as long as four paragraphs or even more. It truly depends on my muse for my character, my muse for the plot, and if I've recently had any inspiration to write for said character or plot. the more muse and inspiration I have, the more I'll write. I can also mirror so don't worry if you can't or don't want to write as much.

I prefer quality over quantity so even if it's just a few sentences, as long as I can work with it I'm satisfied.

always, and I mean always, read my character's profiles before reaching out to me to plot. I often have roleplay-specific rules about my characters aside from the usual information one can find about a character.

I try to be as detailed as I can in my profiles, but part of the fun of rping for me is developing my character through interactions in the roleplay, so often their profile is merely a blueprint for both myself and my rp partner to work with so we can build relationships and plots. I will always prefer to plot over winging, even if all we plot is if our characters know each other already or are meeting for the first time. I just need to know what I'm working with so I know how I am supposed to have my character react and act. always pm me (or group pm if doing a group plot) if you'd like to plot so that I can keep my plots and threads organized. however, I don't mind plotting small threads in places like the ooc room or a plotting room.

I do not believe in the "you ask, you start" philosophy. whichever character it makes the most sense to start the thread with is who should start. sometimes that will be me, sometimes that will be you. on the occasion where it doesn't matter (and it does happen) we can simply take turns doing more than one plot, or whoever can get the starter done first will start.
