Another Update!

Hello there, lovely citizens of Ivory!
 

We want to thank you first and foremost for joining us through this new journey of reformatting Ivory in the Mist.

It has been six months since we rebooted and we are still going strong thanks to all of you. We appreciate the patience, time, energy, and creativity that you all put into being here.

With that said, here are the updates to the much-asked questions you’ve been waiting for.

Slave Refunds
 

Question: If I purchase a slave and that character and/or the RPer leaves the RP, will I receive a refund?

Answer: Please notify Princess Emily Mei at the Central Bank and you will receive a 50% refund based on the amount spent/bid on the slave.

Insufficient funds

Question: What happens if I become a slave due to insufficient funds (dropping below 200 pts)?

Answer: If your character falls below the 200pt minimum by the END OF THE MONTH they will be temporarily enslaved. To free themselves, they must pay all past due balances in addition to 150pts by the next tax period, or their enslavement will be (i.e. they will have to pay the full cost of 3000pts).
 

Tax Evasion Citation/Warrant of Arrest

Question: What happens when I don’t pay my Taxes?

Answer:

• 1st past-due notice is an issued citation stating your current balance owed. You have 1 week after the citation has been issued to reply to The Central Bank.
• 2nd notice to collect taxes is an issued warrant for your arrest - 1 week from when you receive the initial citation. You will be jailed/booked, and no longer able to receive payments from jobs, and all assets [housing, businesses] are frozen if applicable to your character. In addition, your character will be restricted to ONLY visiting (RPing) in Central.
  • Rights after being jailed/booked:
    • You have the right to bail and will be released once it has been paid to the Central Bank.
    • You still have the right to attend events.
• 3rd notice goes out 1 week from the 2nd notice (giving you a total of TWO WEEKS to submit your tax payment). Your character will be blacklisted as a traitor to their country and state of central origin.
  • If your character is free:
    • If your character was originally free you will become a permanent slave with no bail.
    • If you fail to pay your balance by the next tax deadline and your character’s points reach zero, your character will be “executed” (removed) from the RP.
  • If your character is already a slave:
    • If you are a slave you will be offered NO bail.
    • If your points reach zero your character will be “executed" (removed) from the RP.
       

Wanna bail a homie out?

Question: Can my character(s) be bailed out of jail?

Answer: Yes, another character is allowed to bail you out if you are (applicable for bail). However, you may NOT use your own character to bail yourself out regardless of status. (e.g. Royal, free commoner, slave etc.)

Race changes

Question: Cost to change your character’s race?

Answer: You will be charged 50 points to change your character's race. Payment can be made through the Central Bank With Princess Emily Mei.
