HANAMACHI〈花街〉 — 2.0

So it's been a hot minute since this rp was active and alive. By popular demand, I'm bringing it back. This post is for those who'd like to reserve in advance, and also to tell you the changes that will be made to the concept of the roleplay itself. The basic premise of the roleplay will not change - i.e., teahouse, geisha, and customer. the only thing that will change is the time period - it's going to be set in the past (think late 1800s to early 1900s) - as well as the role of civilians, who will be either members of the shinsengumi, bakufu or yakuza. terms i have to explain, of course. so basically feudal japan employed the use of slaves and vassals for protection, and the shinsengumi were basically the police officers of that era. the ishin shishi were opposing forces who disagreed with slavery and sought to overthrow the government, and the yakuza were just neutral gangster people who just did things for the heck of it. i wanted hanamachi to kind of be a yakuza's lair - it would explain the 'other' needs that the geisha sometimes take care of. in addition, hanamachi actually means 'flower district' and refers to more than one tea house, so i was thinking that each faction could have their own teahouse where they corroborate and plan against their enemies lol. the geisha would all still be able to interact together because i'd have them do their training at the same location. and the customers could choose which place to favour. so some people will have to apply as the head of each faction - if you want to, you can comment below with the faction you'd like to head; the yakuza is the only unavailable faction. the rp should be open sometime within the next week. thank you!
