Welcome to my TED Talk

I don't know about y'all, but I'm finding that I'm struggling to find satisfaction in all that I do, all that I am doing, and all that I have done on this site; whether, it be making a roleplay, joining one and rping, or simply just chatting among people, I'm finding it all less and less appealing as time goes on, and I know I can't be the only one.

Unfortunately, I believe a number of us can relate and don't know what else to do besides leave or take a break, but I feel like it shouldn't be that way. Like, there should be other alternatives. I know a lot of us talk about change, how we want it and how it needs to be done, but when you take a step back and actually examine things, a lot of us really aren't trying for it like we say we are. A lot of us are just... I don't know how to phrase it, but we're just idly sitting by and letting happen, letting continue down the path we've paved.

I think a lot of us fail to realize that if we truly want to change the way things are here, at least for ourselves, we really have to work toward it. I don't mean just one time, or even a few times, I mean consistently. I also think that a lot of us are just leaving it up to other people to make the changes we want to see, or that we're all just saying to say . I ain't tryin to make y'all feel bad about yourselves, and I ain't tryin to say that that's a bad thing, but again, I don't know about y'all, but I believe that if you really want something, if you really want to see changes, that you'll do everything in your power to make it happen, and even after, you'll continue to do what you can to maintain or upkeep whatever it is you want to achieve. We can sit here all day and complain about , but if we're not actively trying to change that, if it's not in our minds and in our hearts to even make an attempt to alter our course, then there really is no point in discussing at all.

At the end of the day, I guess you'll do whatever the hell you wanna do, but just keep in mind that YOU are the one who decides what your experience will be like. If you find yourself bored, if you find yourself unhappy, or if you're like me and just can't seem to be satisfied, ing DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I can't tell you how many times I, honest to god, get frustrated with this site and the people on it (myself included!!) because of this. I was sitting here today thinking about how I keep finding myself bored and restless, how I'm gonna make a blog about new rps I wanna try or join, but I instead wanted to take a moment and just be real with y'all.

If I'm completely honest, I feel like half of y'all who complain about , just want to complain about . Like y'all don't actually give a about what happens. And it's okay if you do, but I'm just saying, you got no ing right and no ing excuse to be that way if you're not going to make an effort to change that. Let me just reitterate that YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CONTROLS YOUR EXPERIENCE ON THIS SITE. Sure, other's may influence it, but it's up to YOU to make YOU happy. It's up to YOU to change things that make you upset. It's up to YOU to improve your overall experience with RPR. I keep saying "I don't know about y'all" but I don't know about y'all, but I'm going to find me some satisfaction. Yes, siree. Y'all can sit here and mope all day about that don't even matter in the long run, but I'mma find me some happiness, shoot.

Moving along though, I think it's high time we stop going straight to the complaints, and start brainstorming solutions. Not to get all motivational speaker on y'all, but there are many, many, many ways you can handle every situation you may face, and it's up to YOU to make a difference in your life. No more of that whining and complaining bull. That gets you nowhere. Let's start getting proactive in making a difference in our time here, and let's start pushing ourselves to do better for ourselves because at the end of the day, nobody's gonna care about you like you do.
