He watched as the blood clouded the water, moving slow and heavy away from their source to taint the waters around the body. He shuddered hard, blond locks sticking up everywhere and blue eyes wide and scared. This wasn't him. He would never do something like this.
He could never take a life.
The wings on his back, the white feathers began to fall one by one, leaving an emptiness in his chest that he didn't like.
This wasn't him. He had powers that he would only use for good. He wasn't tainted like they believed him to be. How could something like this have happened to him?
Tears fell from his eyes as they returned to their deep brown with his hair, starting from the roots, changing to the same color. Through his blurry vision though, he saw white wings rising from the water, intangible and made of nothing but light before taking a full, feathered form. He could feel it then. The anger bubbling under the surface of his skin. He felt betrayed and he could feel it deep down in his soul. This had all been a plot to have his wings taken from him. He wasn't sure how long it had been a plan but he should have known that they were too nice to him. He recognized that insignia. How could he not?
He used to carry the same one just seconds ago.
A scream erupted from his throat, a roar of sorts and the water shook at power of the sound waves. The face that rose from the water stared him down with a gentle expression that made him want to choke the other.
"Jimin," he growled, "How could you do this to me!? How could you trick me like this!? My wings are gone because of you."
Jimin didn't look all that fazed and that pissed him off even more. How he could become so cold to someone that he once treated as a friend?
"You brought this on yourself, Taehyung. You don't deserve to be in the guardians with us. You're too weak to the darkness that dwells in you. If you so easily kill one of your own, how can you defend anyone--"
"I thought my life was in danger. You tricked me into believing that you were someone else. How can I defend anyone else if I can't even defend myself!?"
"You won't have to worry about that anymore," Jimin replied, a completely transparent piece of glass was pulled from inside his cloak before he was directing it at the other, "Everyone will be protected from you from now on and you will be protected from yourself."
Taehyung gradually began to disappear, atom by atom, into a ray of rainbow colors away into the glass the other held, which began to glow once Taehyung had disappeared completely.
The darkened feather left behind at the poolside lay there for a brief moment before fading to dust as it was carried on the wind.
