Weird Feelings

I didn’t really know what to title this, but uh, yeah.

So my birthday is on Thursday and like.. normally people are excited for their birthday, right? I usually am honestly, at least somewhat, but for some reason this year.. I’m just dreading it. I guess it’s because I’m going to be slapped in the face with responsibilities and growing up and whatnot, and mentally I’m just not prepared for that added stress yet ? ? Especially since I’m already worrying about college and getting all my requirements to graduate and whatnot.

Idk, do you guys ever really look forward to your birthday, or is really just another day in your life?

Thanks for tuning in to my Ted Talk.

I hope you get to enjoy your birthday hun. <3 I know it might seem scary but age doesn't always reflect your responsibilities. Adult life is difficult but it's not all bad, things get easier. I know I always make a point to celebrate every birthday as best I can, I mean, you only get so many! So enjoy it! Have fun! Love you bb <333

How old are you turning? Maybe it’s good to note that it won’t all come immediately on your birthday. And you can almost see those responsibilities so you’ll be somewhat expecting it rather than it all crashing down on you.

My mom never really had good birthdays so growing up she always made sure it was a special day for me. So I enjoy every birthday bc she couldn’t growing up. I’m also admittedly a little vain so a day celebrating me is nice. And my whole family, both sides, I have like almost 100 family members I talk to and know of, and we all call or text happy birthday if we don’t see each other.
But some people don’t really celebrate so it definitely depends on your situation.

If you want, I could say happy birthday to you and make it a little less daunting by doing a little something nice for you if you want?

It's natural to look toward a milestone with trepidation, particularly with what you've been going through. The looming responsibility and change are enough to be a cause for seriousness. But, it is still a reason to be happy. Change is coming, yes, but change is not automatically bad. It's a chance to reflect, but it's also a chance to move forward in your life. With that said, I hope you have a happy birthday on Thursday.
