this has to stop

person: hey wanna rp?
me: yeah sure, i'd love to!
person: cool. got a plot?
me: ...no?

i'm sorry but i don't just have plots i can whip out suddenly for your convenience. is this shocking? part of rping is plotting together, and hey if you wing it then kudos. but for those of us who plot, give us a break.

this whole thing, that's been going on for years here on rpr, is especially not cool when:

1. they themselves have no profile up. not even their app description
2. they haven't read your profile you've actually bothered putting up
3. if they did read your profile they got nothing from it. not sparks, no ideas, nothing and yet still come to you like, yo, make me a plot

worse yet is when you come up with a plot and all they do is poke holes in it. or they suggest something WAY out of character for your chara and you're like, 'did you even read my profile?' i swear so many people here when you ask them to read a profile be like:

its okay to brainstorm and plot things but that's a combined effort, people. its something you do together so by the end you actually like what you're going to be rping and it advances both of your characters. do not just expect the other person to come up with everything themselves. seriously. i'm tired of people complaining about no rps around or serious rping going on but then you get this in pms??? like buck up, do some actual work because guess what guys. whilst rping is fun, its writing and writing involves some work, some effort. shocking, i know. but seriously. if you don't like that, or can't be bothered to put that little bit of effort in... then what you still doing here?
