character flaws.

i've been watching writing videos on youtube (the pinacle of entertainment, i know) and psychology videos so i thought?

hey what are some really cool character flaws i don't see a lot

i think the reason we don't see these flaws in protagonists or characters on rpr is because we see ourselves in our characters? like we don't want to make our characters the sorts of things we see as inherently bad-- especially on rpr

NOW i think i wanna see more... er... bad character flaws?

common character flaws i see are awkward, introverted, insecure, etc etc

i made a character last year (or the beginning of this year?) that i really loved because he was just new and interesting and i challenged myself to think about what it's like to be in this sort of person's mindset

this person was a gold digger who thirsted for powers and used women for his own personal gain. he made women fall in love with him and attempted to take their money, their status, anything

AND I LOVED IT

not because i like using people for my own personal gain or anything pmsl but once i engaged in rp and talked to people i just... loved getting out of my comfort zone

i think those sort of character flaws are great

i'm not saying that having anxious, insecure, depressed, or whatever sorts of character flaws is inherently bad BUT i think it's fun to try out more.. characteristics?

i feel like we need more skater boy s and pink pumped mean girls as protagonists or characters

i love smol wholesome characters that just want to make the world happy in their flower shop or angsty characters that can't talk to anyone bUT LIKE. having a new perspective and breaking away from cliches

i just,, like the idea of making characters

i also like adding dimensions to my nonau characters like

one i have was such a player before he met his lover so he's like really bad at love (because i'm bad at love !!!! for different reasons tho) but he's nice and it mostly just because you can't really have relationships as idols. he had one relationships but it ended really bad for him and damaged him psychologically ; u ;
