A couple of weeks back I started this medical trial about weightloss. It runs over 1½ years and you are followed by a dietician throughout the entire process. You get to stab yourself with a needle once a week for all that time, yay!
Anyways, for this trial, I had to pick three longterm goals that I want to achieve over the course of these 1½ years. Some of the suggested goals were things like "I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling out of breath" and "I want to be able to swim 400 metres without stopping". While I am sure that would be great goals for some (i.e. those so limited by their weight that they can't do anything today), I am lucky enough to be able to already do all those things. I still had to pick three longterm goals, though, and the conversation went like this:
Ida: "So... can it be weird things?"
Dietician: "I can be anything you want."
Ida: "Okay, I wanna learn how to do the splits!"
Dietician: "... Okay... ... ... can you think of anything else you might want to do?"
So now I am working on doing the splits cause that lady, I will get these splits down and I will show her. And when I can actually do them, I will upload a photo here for proof too!
She can't tell me it can be anything and then disapprove of my longterm goal.
D:
IMMA DO THE SPLITS LADY, YOU CAN'T STOP ME!
