in regards to that historic matchmaking rp i wanted to do

so i recently made a blogpost about me wanting to make an rp based around matchmaking but have an historic twist to it

originally, i wanted to make it historic korean set in probably the 1700 to 1800s. kinda like the historic dramas lol

BUT

i was looking through tumblr and i saw these beautiful 20s to 30s moodboards and i heard this song by cheeze 'madeleine love'

now

the historic korea rp was gonna be based around that era but i was only going to allow asian descent faceclaims (it just makes sense, you know?) but if i do a 20s to 30s rp, then i can allow many more people.

i think it would be fun to do either. i will keep a similar theme (that i'm not gonna release yet) but just the setting and maybe the location would be different

i was kinda thinking a roaring 20s america sort of thing since korea was under the japanese rule in the 20s (i believe? don't remember history that well rip) so i'm not really sure. there are a few movies i would watch to educate myself

but i feel like 20s would be a bit easier since most people on this site are american or they just know the 20s in america better because of hollywood and such. i think it would be cool to have a flapper girl or a gang leader or someone who just came back from ww1 and you can do so much but i feel like historic korea would be hard esp for the western people on here who don't know much about korea back then other than the dramas that don't really... help lol

so tell me what you think -- which one is more intriguing and such. like if you think that historic korea / 20s to 30s america is overdone and you want to see the other one done, i would like to hear that. i want to make a unique rp so that people can be free to try things out that they haven't before ; u ;
