so in my media studies / art class my teacher has been kicking us off with the cult study
we've watched three movies based around cults and the cult phenomenon
we watched the sound of my voice, mandy, and jonestown: the life and death of peoples temple
now if you have watched ANY of these movies or just have a general knowledge on cults in general
you would know that cult culture is INCREDIBLY ed up but also very interesting
so, naturally, i wanted to do a cult rp
exploring how cults work and just working within it
if you have played mystic messenger you should also know how cults tend to go (spoiler?)
a while back i opened a satan rp where the infamous venteux played satan and everyone was a demon working in a business tower setting out to make people's lives miserable
i want to do something of the sort but based around cults
it MIGHT be rated m just because there will be trigger warnings
but idk cults have these weird things you have to do to show your loyalty
in peoples temple for example everyone had to work 20 hours a day
in mandy there had to be sacrifices and kidnappings
in the sound of my voice there was children kidnappings
so? i think it would be interesting to explore and also fun for character development such as inner turmoil, violence, and just trauma all around
OBVIOUSLY THIS WOULDN'T BE FOR EVERYONE
but if no one thinks this is a good idea i do want to revisit the satan idea bc i had a really cool idea for a teaser video and just an rp in general
if y'all aren't easily disturbed i recommend you check out those films (especially mandy, it's really ed up yet cool?? and it has nicolas cage)
ever since we started watching those i've been interested in cult culture. i could even do a yuri rp where it's a female cult. or make it co-ed but all the girls go out and kill men (kinda like red velvet lol)
BUT IDK
anyways the video idea i have involves exo's monster + justice's genesis which you can listen to here
don't steal my ideas
thanks
(justice has so many satanic tunes i just UGH it's so cool)
