gasp - you say it's possible? yeah. im just sick of seeing people saying that there's no way to plot in a non au since it's just idols living life, but there's so much more than just that. i mean like really. a lot of my best couples have come from non au settings with something a little more fun added in (aka a plot). yes, it's harder to plot in a non au, because you have to take in so many different things, but it's not impossible.
1. character a and b both sneak out of their dorm late at night. they run into each other. cue spiderman meme.
2. character a and b are in an elevator (choose your reason why here). elevator stops working. neither of them have service, and the emergency call button isnt working.
3. character a was practicing for archery at isac and shot an arrow right into character b's lunch. no harm done, but now character b has nothing to eat.
4. character a sneaks character b into their dorm for the night. manager catches them. no i did not mean but i mean you do you boo.
5. character a and b both have secret instagram accounts not at all connected to their actual ones. they start talking, and then character a confesses being the idol. character b doesnt believe them.
6. character a has a persona of soft![gender] in front of cameras. off camera, though, it's entirely different, and character b learns that the hard way.
7. character a runs a fan blog on tumblr about themselves, and character b catches them, posing as a fan.
8. character a is super clumsy, and when in the waiting room manages to burn their hand on a curling iron/straightener. character b rushes to help.
9. character a was out late and got lost, ending up at character b's dorm, soaking wet from a thunderstorm.
10. character a has an under the table drinking/drug problem that no one knows about, until character b accidentally stumbles upon them in their worst hours.
11. character a and b run into each other at a pet store and become joint pet parents over a dog they both adore.
12. character b runs into character a while they were undercover and accidentally announces their identity to the whole god damn cafe. dasi run run run.
13. character b witnesses a sasaeng fan corner and hound character a. character b then shoos the fan off.
14. character b's group van rear ends character a's group van. now they gotta wait until things settle, so the group members get out and all talk to each other.
15. dating scandal between character a and b, except neither of them like each other, but no one believes them no matter how much they try to deny the allegations. they literally hate each other (romantically at least).
16. dating scandal between character a and b, which was never true, but the more they try to deny it the more they realize they like each other.
17. character a and b dated in school together predebut. they broke up when they went off to become idols. however, character b is realizing just how much they miss character a now that they're both idols.
18. there's a group change on stage, going from character a's group to character b's. character b is a big fan of character a, but instead of being cool, calm and collected, they blurt out "i love you" -- character b finds them after their performance and questions them about what the heck just happened.
19. character a is coming off stage and whoops, something happens, and their foot slips and they go tumbling down. character b catches them, but not before some sorta bone breaks, and they're both whisked off to the hospital.
20. character b got character a pregnant, and now it's all over the news. the catch? character a never told character b that their short fling resulted in a baby, and so they find out through a news article.
21. no one ever would have guessed that character a was an abusive partner until bruises started showing up on character b's skin.
22. oh no! character b might've had a little too much to drink and had a fling with character a. next morning, they wake up in some hotel god knows where, , and oh my god their notifs are blowing up.
23. someone saw character a and b kiss, and is now blackmailing them for money.
24. character b is a dnacer, and had a special stage in which their face was covered. character a is trying their gosh darn hardest to find out who that person was. lmfao another cinderella story much.
25. character b lost their dog, who doesnt have a collar. character a just so happened to find the poor guy and took him home. only when character b sees character a giving their dog a walk do they realize where the pup is. and they deadass think character a stole him.
26. character a was just midnign their own business at the local cafe when character b tripped and spilled piping hot coffee all over their outfit. and man, does it burn.
27. character a and b are cast for a show like (or exactly) we got married. now, they're supposed to be partners. they either hate each other or have lowkey had a crush on each other for a while.
28. both character a and b were at the gym when one of the machines malfunctioned. they may have gotten a kick out of the guy who didnt get off of the tredmill when it started speeding up and going too fast.
29. both character a and b go to a gay bar. whoops, they catch each other. cue spiderman meme.
30. character b had into character a on a bad day. rather than being respectful, because fellow idol and all, character b brushes it off thinking it's someone else. character a remembers that day for years, until they meet again, and wow did they become a little b*tch.
31. character b finds character a's phone, and spends a whole week trying to gear up the nerve to go to their dorm to give it back... only to find out that by now, character a has a new phone.
32. at a joint company masquerade ball, character a and b meet and chat, but both are disguised. character a spends weeks trying to figure out who it was. yep, some more another cinderella story vibes.
33. mayday! character a and b are at a red carpet event, but character b trips and falls, totally embarrassing themselves in front on tons of people. character a has to think quick to save the day.
34. character b is pissed when they're kept up all night after a performance, the person in the hotel room next door loud as heck. come to find out the next morning, it's character a, the same person they have to do a special stage with for the next day of the concert.
35. character a and b both go to the amusement park on the same day and accidentally bump into each other but decide to make the best of it and just enjoy their day together.
36. character b is just enjoying a nice day at the beach when all of a sudden, a volleyball comes hurdling toward them. wham! right in the face! and now character a comes dashing toward them with profuse apologies.
37. character a was in the changing room when some punk stole their clothes. character b comes in to find a very distressed character a and has to think quick.
38. character a and b go on vacation, get drunk, and oh my god, is that a wedding ring? yup! they got married in vegas and have no idea how that happened. a little bit of a stretch for non aus but i think it could work, honestly. it'd be hilarious.
39. character a and b are big gamers (be it overwatch, fortnite, whatever). they both turn their mics on and instantly recognize each other, and everyone else on the server goes nuts.
40. character b was on their way home when all of a sudden, someone swooped by and stole something of theirs. character a wasnt far behind, and the two of them track the er down to get character b's stuff back.
41. for all you s character b stumbled upon an ad for a website. finding out there's a club nearby, and really curious, they go to it one night. and oh my god, character a is a frequent goer, and gets caught.
42. it's fireworks night. character a and b are near each other. all is good until one of the fireworks they thought was a dud suddenly flare up, setting everything on fire. character a's pants catch on fire, and character b helps put the fire out and get them the heck outta there.
43. character a and b are just enjoying a day at the park together. character a gets a little daring, and begins walking on the pond's edge despite character b's warnings. the ground crumbles, and character a tumbles into the water. now they're soaked, their phone is trashed, and they gotta go to the nearest dorm to change, which just so happens to be character b's.
44. character a just went through a pretty bad break up/let down, so character b brings them out on the town for street food, some sightseeing, and more. maybe they even end the night with something fun e u e
45. character a is still on the mandatory dating ban companies place on their idols. however, they have a major crush on character b, who is no longer on that ban. character b asks them out, and character a says yes. now, they're trying to hide their budding romance, but group members are becoming suspicious.
46. character b is in the dance studio. character a isnt that far away. character b's music is way too loud, and character a comes to complain... only to get distracted watching character b. and of course, inevitably get caught for spying.
47. character a and b go camping. all is going well until a freaking bear crashes their camping spot. both climb up different trees and have to wait until the bear is done ravaging their camp, talking to each other from across the trees.
48. character b accidentally walked in on character a when they were . thinking that was the end of it, they tried to erase the image from their mind. however, next thing they know, they're told they're doing a collab together, and they have to meet with the knowledge that character b knows what character a looks like without clothes on... and they kinda like it.
49. character a invited character b over for some netflix and chill. putting on what they thought was one movie, they go off and let character b in... only to walk in to going on in the background. character a has to stumble through an explanation.
50. character a has been in the business for a while now, and rookie character b looks up to them. lo and behold, character a actually has a pretty pessimistic mindset to the world and insists that character b gets their head out of their a** about fame and fortune, 'cause its a lot more like slavery.
