The world was a funny place. You always knew that things could happen, and yet you never expected that they could happen to you.

He had read about these kinds of things in books, seen them in movies, played fantasy video games. He had seen other idols and their groups' concepts even showcasing the beauty of a world that didn't exist. It was always so fascinating, delving into something like that, exploring the fantasy world that they all longed to experience.

Well, to him it was fantasy, and yet to some others, it was a nightmare. He didn't know. He didn't know of the world that was quite literally right at his fingertips, of the people right around him who may or may not have secrets to hide. He was perfectly oblivious to everything around him.

He had his friends and his career. That's all he really needed.

But then why did it always seem like there was something more, that he was just... missing something? Sometimes there were shared looks that he just didn't get, conversations that seemed to fly right over his head.
