Help! New Roleplayer!

Hi!

I'm new to this website, but not exactly to the roleplay scene. I used to roleplay with my friends way back then on Flickr, but that feels like ages ago with no formal way of roleplaying other than just replying to each other. Nowadays when I check on roleplays here and on Asianfanfics, there's so many terms and rules involved that I'm lost, tbh, which makes me hesitate when it comes to joining a roleplay. Also since there's so many?!

But anyway! I was hoping somebody could help me out? Like what does it mean when an RP is literate, semi-literate, etc? God-modding? Bubble roleplaying? These are just a few more terms that I am helplessly confused with, I'm sure there's more. I know that there are Facebook and Twitter RPs, but the rules that come with those are often complicated, too. I was hoping Roleplay Republic had an easier system, but I'm gonna need help with that, too.

If anybody were to help, I'll be forever grateful! ♡

So literate is supposed to be when an rp and the role players are word heavy. Writing long scenes and paragraphs and descriptions to drive a plot along. Semi literate is when it’s most but not all that are word plot driven but not as long posts. And then it just goes down from there to crack where any kind of posts are allowed to crazy fast paced rando talking and little to non are plot driven bc it’s meant to be more care free.

Godmodding is, when you have a plot, when you try to make someone else’s character do something and it’s not like s mind control plot or something specific like that. When you make decisions for someone else’s character when in the real world you can only make yourself do things. Idk if that makes sense.

Idk what bubble role playing is tho
