For centuries, stories of magic and faeries have been passed down through generations. These tales are often thought to be just that - fictitious; merely imaginative narratives meant to entertain, amaze, and explain away what humans refused to believe. Perhaps faeries are real though. Perhaps they truly exist and are thriving in a world all their own. In the small mining town of Līmen, fae activity seems to be especially high. Children and adults alike disappear without a trace. Those lucky enough to return come back years and years later with foggy memories, having missed out on their entire lives. Those that remain in Līmen often claim to hear footsteps and giggling in their walls or they notice shadows in their peripherals. A mended pair of shoes or missing items often leave some questioning their loved ones, only for those under suspicion to be just as confused. Some mischievous and others benevolent, the real culprits are the faeries who can only be seen should they choose so.
