do you guys remember... somewhere over the rainbow?

an rp i made, back in 2017, possibly one of the rps that kinda started the trend of having a gay only rp ( and yuri only) and no straights

for some reason i was #edgy and wanted to make a response to straight rps because yes, i know there are and yuri rps, but i just thought it was weird that there wasn't... both?

anyways, i made it, created it, ended it, had an emotional breakdown over it, and now i'm back wanted to do it again

so.. i kinda did. 

here's my thought: let's go above and beyong just a and yuri rp. why don't we do... an lgbt+ rp?

basically, what i wanted to do, was make an rp revolving around characters who are in the lgbtq+ community. i know many people in rpr are part of this community so why don't i make it a bit more inclusive?

i know not many people make their faceclaims trans on here- and i know why. it's weird to the faceclaim because most people tend to make ftm trans characters really feminine men and i don't think i've ever seen a mtf trans character since there aren't many female faceclaims who could have that trait behind them.

i've been spending the past month or two learning more about the trans community and i do get why playing trans characters is tricky. but i think something to keep in mind that there are SO many cis-passing trans people out there and not a lot of trans people actually look like... well... how some people percieve trans people to be.

but trans and gay isn't the only thing i want to touch on in this rp. non-binary is something i really want to touch on. me and my best buddy pal venteux have been discussing this. he had a non-binary character in an rp we had a while back and he wanted to try it again (since the rp kinda closed early lol) so he's hoping to play around with that again. 

so, am i making an rp where it's semiau and the only difference from irl is that they can be gay/trans? nOPE!

this will be au. but i tried thinkink about - how can i make an rp where it makes sense that everyone in it is gay/trans? 

it may be a bit triggering to some people: but i don't want that. i want an rp where those who don't feel accepted feel accepted and proud of themselves: isn't that what pride is?

and so i thought of an rp that represents a safe haven for people of the lgbtq+ community. a literal safe haven.

every character will have similar premises: they are runaways, they got thrown out, or something bad happened to them because of who they are. so they come to a place called rainbowland- a place where they can live or get funding from to find a place in the city. 

this will be a place i'm opening tomorrow. a low level place where i don't want to think about it too much. 

i hope this is okay. i probably won't be taking pre-reservations so just... keep tuned.
