even though i don't want blackpink to have a comeback during a pandemic, this whole thing seemed to work in yg's favour of further starving blinks of a comeback. (conspiracy theory: yg released covid-19 okno thAT WAS A JOKE DON'T SUE ME)

it's no secret to not only blackpink fans but to the kpop community as a whole that blackpink has a comeback once in a blue moon (and by that i mean almost literally...) and i think a lot of people know why. yg wants to heighten the interest for a comeback so once blackpink finally DOES have a comeback, it's get a crap ton of money come in no matter the quality.

i've been following blackpink since debut but i haven't always been a fan. i've only recently started to like them and cheer for them because of how mistreated and seemingly "plastic" they are. now this isn't me hating bp, but they are. and now here's the potatoes of my blog-

once you've watched the entire thing, you may understand how awful yg treats blinks. we always knew they only see us wallets but i think this is what makes the fandom feed into this. we really are nothing but wallets at the end of the day and i think people do nothing but endorse this. they complain about a mini album for a comeback but buy both versions and collect all the photocards. they complain about the song being lacklustre or the mv being nothing special, but stream it for 23 hours of the day.

i know rpr probably isn't the core demographic (at least the people who will click on this blog and actually read it; most of you seem to either not care too much about bp or you're knowledgeable to know enough about this) but i think it's important.

is bp themselves being mistreated? possibly. i would think so. but then again idek the girls personally, but i would like to believe that they don't like being treated like this by their company. that they don't wanna be seen as such elites in the industry or self-inserts.

in the end, i can only see this having a tragic end. people are getting tired of this influencer image and i'm sure at some point, a 1.5-year hiatus isn't gonna be enough to hold the group or fandom together. and of course, this might mean the end of blackpink (though i don't think they'll be jobless, i see them more like a snsd right now). so i dunno.

i found this video very intriguing and something i had thought of before. so i recommend you watch it.

aaaand yeah.

that's all C:
