hello everyone. i've seen a few people talk about this but i just wanted to come to rpr to spread some awareness to people who do not know what is going on.

kwon mina, a former member of aoa, came onto instagram today to tell her story of being harassed. she was harassed to the point of self-harm and attempted suicide. leader of aoa, shin jimin, posted to her ig story saying "fiction/novel". 

mina then came out to say that jimin was the one who had harassed her for 11 years. this is a translation of her response to jimin's story. 

mina has come out with a few more posts. one being about how her members (including jimin) and her manager came to her door to talk. this is the translation of the post. to put it shortly, jimin came very upset with mina, and asked for a knife and said "would it be better if i just disappeared?" she also apologized a lot, but mina feels like it wasn't sincere. 

now, i'm sure a lot of you are sure what is going on. this transcends the aoe fandom and is more than just "kpop drama". this is serious.

the reason why i'm posting this is because i've seen a lot of people handling the situation wrongly. so i wanted to touch on those topics so you can all show your support for mina. she's very courageous for standing up to her bully and i hope she can move past this and live a happy, healthy life.

1. do NOT send death threats to jimin. i've seen people trying to justify it because jimin almost caused the death of mina. i am not defending jimin in any way but death threats are counterproductive. seeing how jimin victimized herself with the knife in mina's most recent blog post, i'm sure she will further play the victim from all these death threats and hate she is getting. death threats will not hold her accountable and it can discredit actual criticism for her behaviour. 

2. you NEED to focus on encouraging mina. do not focus on jimin or yourself right now. here are some tweets with basic korean phrases that can encourage mina through this time. please go to her instagram and send these to her, but be careful, because she does have a post involving her self-harm scars. here are some tweets that you can copy to send to her instagram. x x x

3. do not make this about the other members. do not blame them or bring them part of the issue. this is between mina and jimin, and mina has said that she is okay with the other members. she has also posted photos of her and hyejeong hanging out a week ago. it is okay to be an aoa stan right now, please support the girls and hold jimin accountable for harassing mina all these years. 

4. hold fnc accountable too. mina had went to them and they did nothing. 

5. stop making this about yourselves. stop saying "i knew jimin was fishy" or "i didn't trust jimin". this isn't about YOU this is about mina. some people are completely ignoring mina and sending hate to jimin. use that energy to ENCOURAGE mina because she needs it right now.
