you got some 'splainin to do, young lady

Normally, I'm not big on explanations - neither giving nor receiving them.

On this occasion I owe one.

I know I disappeared practically for a whole month, and I am terribly sorry about that, about the rps i went inactive in, and about Brilliance where i was supposed to help, but basically dropped dead off the face of the earth.

But this is how riots work - they're not planned, they just happen spontaneously.

There is a roaring riot in my country, biggest in the city that I live in, and one of it's main points of focus is like... 500 meters from where I currently live. Even if I didn't want to be in it, I still would be.

But I do. I take full participation in the protests currently going on in my country. It has to do with a VERY corrupt government, lies, stolen funds, mafia and corruption, some rich people being VERY rich, while the rest rot in misery. Just as an example I will give the thing that started it all - it was uncovered that one of these people has actually "annexed" a part of a public beach, built a mansion there and cut off access of regular public to the beach, so he stays there every summer. It's literally called his "Summer Pallace". And he is using government security to ward off that coast. Government, as in national security, as in the people who are supposed to guard us, the people, the tax-payers, are guarding ONE person (and his family and close friends), from.... us? and not letting anyone who is not his family enter the PUBLIC beach. And this is only... a tenth of it all.

So currently people are on the streets. We're blocking transport on all main roads in the city and the main highways across the country 24/7. We're peaceful. I'm not here to complain, my life is not in danger, the people are honestly amazing, helpful and thoughtful. But unrelentless. This regime has been going on for 11 years now, and we want change. So we will cause discomfort, we will riot, we will protest.

Again, we are all keeping safe, wearing masks, and if anyone feels ill - we have created a living corridor for an ambulance not once or twice for this month, we have water and sheds, because its scorching hot in here currently, temperatures are record high. We're looking out for each other, but we will not stay put anymore.

I went off on a tangent. Point was - I truly am sorry for all the places I went inactive for, all the unanswered PMs, Cici who i feel like i let down (you had ONE job, peachy!!! ffs--) and idk... anyone who feels mildly inconvenienced - blame it on the government and let's tear it down.

I will try to get to some PMs hopefully, and talk to you guys, maybe post sth about PM rp, to try and get my mind off this . But I'm honestly so riled up... see the tangent above. Like.... I wanna talk to you guys, and rp and be creative, while at the same time I wanna go full Les Miserables on our whole government and I feel like I'm not A+ company at the moment. We'll see.

TL;DR: persica is sorry, there are country-wide protests against the government, and she is taking part in it, so she may poof at any given moment. fear not, its peaceful. all is well. #EatTheRich.
