I'll keep this short and sweet. Over the last few weeks, a large number of talented coders have expressed their fustrations on a very serious situation where people are NOT following layout ship rules and taking codes without commenting, favoriting upvoting or etc. We, especially myself, don't ask for much in return other than a favorite and/or comment which layout you are going to use. It's not that hard if you just READ the rules we put up in our layout shop.
Now, I'm not a big or talented coder by any means but it does make me more aware of who is using my layouts that I worked hard on without letting me know. I don't know if there are people out there taking my techniques, codes or taking off credits. Luckily, I haven't seen anything like that or have heard of anyone doing that to my layouts. Then again, I barely have friends on here that could report back to me and I hate having to burden them with my fears of stolen/altered codes.
With that being said, I will be closing my shop FOR THE TIME BEING. I will be altering my layout shop in a way that you will HAVE to comment/request/ask for a layout rather than going to a specific layout page/room and snatching the codes URL without favoriting or commenting. It sounds like a lot of work on my part, but if anything, I'd rather do that than have my creativity and hard work be violated by those who don't read the darn rules. I don't really know when the layout shop will be up and operating again, but I can say it will be well before Christmas. Perhaps around thanksgiving.
Thank you to those who do actually read the rules provided in layoutshops and actually follow them to the tea. I appreciate it with all my heart.
