Cafe AU Full Profile: Kim Jeonghyuk

jeonghyuk has always had a wealthy background, his family thriving off of investments in various forms but, regardless, there was always a steady flow of income for his family. he was taught at a very young age to save up his money and was he ever glad that he did. he was also very thankful that his father had helped him get an account in his own name, even if he had been too young to use it at first. when he was about 13, his father divorced his mother and, thanks to legal arrangements that had been made when they wed, Jeonghyuk's birth mother wasn't entitled to any money. she tried to take her son with her but he wanted to stay with his father and did, not wanting to be used as a weapon to by his mother against his father. he even made sure to change his surname so that it was the same as his father's instead of the same as his mother's as it had been in the beginning - which had just been another part of his mother's plan to weasel some money out of his father one way or another.

sticking with his father, he has become very close to him over the years. he was even the best man when his father remarried his mistress. he wasn't even angry with his father when he found out his father had had another son while still married to his mother, more than happy to simply welcome his brother, byeongkwan, with open arms. he watches over byeongkwan like a hawk and babies him, even though they're only a few years apart.

junhee has been his best friend for what feels like forever. he's never judged junhee for having less than him and junhee has never tried to weasel money out of him. he's always been there for junhee, watching out for him and taking care of him however he can, more than happy to be there for someone that likes and adores him for who he is, especially since he feels the same way toward junhee. when junhee's son, yuchan, was born, he was honored to be deemed yuchan's godfather, even though all three of them - himself, junhee and yuchan refer to and treat him as the baby's uncle. watching junhee interact with his son can easily remind jeonghyuk sometimes about how much he's in love with Junhee and has been for years but he doesn't let that get in the way of anything, more than happy to just be there for his best friend and support whatever makes him happy.

since junhee is a single father, jeonghyuk works as a full-time nanny, watching over yuchan, almost like a second father really. he still isn't sure whether or not he likes other kids but one would be surprised to hear that with how deeply he loves and cherishes yuchan and how meticulous he is with caring for the young boy.

jeonghyuk isn't one to flaunt what he has but he does love to dress up, even when he's in a sweatsuit at home and taking care of yuchan. he keeps to himself for the most part but is very kind, friendly and well-mannered to those he comes across. he enjoys meeting new people, learning new things and taking on new experiences but he's also makes sure to take breaks in between his ventures, more than happy to stop and smell the roses just as he is eager to run in them. he adores cute things. although to strangers it may seem that he doesn't smile often, the closer you are to him, the brighter one learns he actually is. jeonghyuk loves art, music and bubble tea. he also loves doing house chores and plays with the idea of marriage, thinking that it would be really nice to just be a househusband and fawn over the love of his life.
