I would suggest reading this blog post RP Backstory to have a better idea about what's going on with this post.

For those that have seen/read through that blog, this blog post, to sum it up, will give an explanation pretty much on where the rp will pick up regarding the backstory as well as explain the kind of... characters you can make. Before I get into that though, just a few notes:

1. Just like in my fanfic, I intend to include other species sort of in a series. For example, the second wave may be allowing in vampires, the third being werewolves and shapeshifters, and so on. I figure that maybe I'll do this though if there's enough interest for them. I may periodically ask those that are participants of the roleplay as well as just through blogs which they would like to see available in the next series or wave.

2. This RP will be set in modern times but those that are apart of the Courts, Guardians, and the Valkyrie will have varying memories, depending on how old they are. Some may remember the falling out of the Valkyrie from before while some may only know it from stories passed down.

3. As a fanfic, it was mostly going to be K-pop groups as muses but, as an RP, I'm deciding to open it up to international muses. I am also considering completely OC type characters. I understand what an OC is because, when I first started roleplaying, I only knew about roleplaying with OCs. That being said, I'm trying to figure out if that would work here or not. I'm very open to suggestions for making this a smooth and interesting roleplay.

4. For the most part, any orientations and genders are welcome. I would have it open to minors (IC and OOC) but I realize that it will not really be suitable considering what's being roleplayed here. I may allow IC minors but there will be restrictions on what they can be and how they fit into this universe.

5. Although this is based off of a fanfic universe that I created (I've never posted any of it by the way. I just have my notes and drabbles and all about the universe), I have altered things to make it more fluid for roleplay. If something seems missing or there seems to be a hole in the story, please, let me know. I think this could be a really fun idea for a roleplay but I may unintentionally have gaps in the information because I'm changing the story some and not including every last detail. I don't want people to be stuck with certain roles after all so I'm just kind of leaving some gaps intentionally so that the connections can be made in a more collaborative effort, if that makes sense. (English is my first language but, sometimes, I really wonder if others can understand what I mean...)

The Plot

The Underworld has been very active lately. The King's half-blood son was betrayed by the Guardians he'd once been apart of and, as his heart broke, his dark powers that had lay dormant unlocked. The problem is that, being the son of the King of the Underworld and the Highness of the Valkyrie, both of his sides being unlocked has awoken the abilities of other half-bloods like himself and they will only follow his lead. As long as he is feeling broken down with rage, he won't be able to control his powers and neither will the other half-bloods.

The Prince of the Underworld is on a mission to collect Soul Stones to unleash his friends, feeling they were unfairly imprisoned. He's on a mission to find who did it and why and he's more than willing to kill anyone that gets in his way.

Through all of this, humans are being used as pawns, not that it's anything new, but that puts the Valkyrie, Guardians and Guardian Angels on edge as they're scrambling to protect everyone and themselves. Chaos hasn't happened just yet but that all depends. On what side will you tilt the scale?

*Note: I'm thinking of making the Prince of the Underworld storyline like a Season/Series 2 so that there's isn't confusion with the plot. Season/Series 1 will follow the half-bloods.

The Species

Valkyrie (females only)

The Valkyrie are God-ordained angels that protect the balance of good and evil and protect both angels and humans. While most are born as guardian angels, there are few that make it to being a Valkyrie by rising in the ranks from being born as an angel or they were once human and became angels in their afterlife. To be a Valkyrie requires training, most of which is completed as a guardian angel. The Valkyrie are led by the Highness. Amongst the heavenly bodies, they have the most and the strongest abilities. 

Guardians (males only)

Guardians are the male equivalent of Guardian Angels. These are humans that became angels in their afterlife and showed great promise as warriors with their hearts and values. They most likely will have little to no memories of their past as a human. They answer to the Highness and follow her orders. They are not usually given human charges to protect such as the Guardian Angels are but it is not uncommon for one to be given one or to even have their request granted for one. They have unique abilities, though not as many or as strong as the Valkyrie but more so than that of regular angels. 

Guardian Angels (females only)

Guardian Angels are either born as they are or they are humans that became angels in their afterlife. Once they have completed their trials and are ordained by God as Guardian Angels, they are given a charge by the Highness. It is not common but not impossible for a Guardian Angel to request a specific charge or to be given more than one human charge to protect. Just as a Guardian, if they are a human-born angel, they will most likely have little to no memories of their life as a human. Also, they have unique abilities as well, which also are not as many or as strong as the Valkyrie but more so than that of regular angels. 

Angels

Angels are either born as they are or they are humans that have become angels in their afterlife. They are pure souls that can either help protect and defend, usually other humans or even the heavens in general. Unlike Guardians, Guardian Angels and the Valkyrie, the angels that were humans have absolutely no recollection of their life as humans. If they so choose to advance to Guardian status, they regain some of their memories, especially through interaction with humans and the human world. They have very few abilities and said abilities are not that strong, but they are more than capable of handling themselves and taking care of others if needed.  

Demons

Whether they were born as they are or were once humans, demons carry many varying and unique abilities. Depending on their rank, they will have more abilities, strength and just general power. Those that were once humans have most, if not all, of their memories of their human life, considering they seemingly never really leave. Their skills and specialties range, as where one may specialize in lying and other forms of trickery while another may thrive on lust. Most times, if they were human, their abilities are dependent upon which sin they most committed while as a human or the sin they committed that brought about their death. For Underworld-born demons, some are simply born with an affinity for one of the seven deadly sins, which flow in the blood of the demons and simply thrive in the Underworld. 

Half-Bloods

Half-bloods can be of any mix. They can be half-human and half-demon, half-angel and half-demon, half-angel and half-human. Those that are half-human will not nearly have as many abilities as those that are of half-demon and half-angel descent. Their stories will vary as well as their abilities, levels of power, strength and so on. Those that are half-human can either be found living amongst humans, in the Underworld or in the heavens, respectively. It is not abnormal to find a human half-blood living with both parents and living amongst humans though you’d never see them living with both parents if they live in the heavens or in the Underworld. Ever since the son of the King and the Highness unlocked his abilities, his power granted all half-bloods the ability to communicate telepathically as long as they are within range of one another. The distance, or the range, depends upon the strength of a half-blood’s abilities. Those that are half-demon and half-angel can communicate regardless of distance as their powers are naturally stronger. If they are trying to reach someone specific, depending on their strength, they can even communicate regardless of where they are or where the person is that they’re trying to reach, such as communicating with their target in the heavens or the Underworld from where they are amongst the humans. This telepathy only works between others with half-blood unless a full-blood demon or angel have the same ability. 

Humans

They are typically considered as pawns or toys by demons and are always protected by an angel, whether they know it or not. Those with more pure and/or innocent hearts can easily connect with an angel or Guardian Angel while those that are more on the corrupt side can more easily connect with a demon. The further a human goes down either path, they can even reach a point where they can both see and even make physical contact with an angel or demon, respectively. Humans do not have any sort of special ability but can be temporarily granted one by a demon or an angel.  

The Special Roles

Highness of the Valkyrie (taken)

She is the most powerful of angels, with the most and the strongest of abilities amongst them all. She is also the one that fell for who is now the King of the Underworld. She tried to warn him to not get involved with the darkness but it was a path he took anyway, something he chose completely on his own. She's never fallen out of love with him and the only time she feels guilty about her love for him is when she reminded of the fall of the Valkyrie, something she constantly blames herself for. She loves her son just as much as him though and would do just about anything to protect the both of them. She figured that hiding her son amongst the Elite Guardians would protect him from the darkness inside of him but it's only brought it out of him and she finds herself trying not to blame herself for that as well.

King of the Underworld (available)

Born a human, he became a demon after selling his soul to the one that was King at the time. He rose in the ranks very quickly, having no intentions on being a servant to anyone. He loves the Highness as well as their son more than anything in the world and would undeniably do absolutely anything for the both of them. He treats the Prince as his own son as well and would do anything for him, too.

Half-Blood Prince (available)

The son of the Highness and King. With the discovery of his dark powers, he's on a mission to learn the truth about himself.

Prince of the Underworld (taken)

He sold his soul to the King, just as the current King had done in his past. The disdain he had for a world that looked down upon him drew the King to him in the first place. After committing suicide, he was taken in by the King and gradually became Prince as he leaned on the King like a father. Finally having made friends, those same friends were trapped in Soul Stones and he works tirelessly to find out where they are, who did it and why. He plans to release them, regardless of what chaos it may bring.

The Highness' Guards

This is a small group of Guardians and Guardian Angels hand-picked and appointed by the Highness herself. They have a bond with the Highness, which is formed before they are even her guards. She only chooses those that she's comfortable with and that she trusts deeply. They do not know of her bond with the King or of her son (yet, anyway). They are incredible warriors and are a level up from the Elite Guardians as far as power, strength and abilities go. They, respectively, are much more powerful than their fellow Guardians and Guardians Angels as well. 

Elite Guardians

Like the Highness' own personal guards, Elite Guardians are hand-picked and appointed by the Highness herself. These Elite Guardians are sent out namely to battle against higher level demons, namely those of the Court. They usually consist only of Guardians but it's not out of the ordinary to see a Guardian Angels among the ranks as well. They are less powerful and have less abilities than the Highness' Guards but they are much more powerful than other Guardians and Guardian Angels.

The Demon Court (also known as the Court of the Underworld)

Much like any other royal court, these demons are of your usual royal ranks, such as your advisor (to the King and/or the Prince), the jester/joker, the leader of the knights, and so on. Demons in the ranks fo the Court are carefully selected by the King himself. They are typically much stronger than other demons, though far from that of the King and Prince, of course.

*Note: These special roles could be subject to change, as with just about anything written here, depending upon how it helps or hurts the movement of the story. If it become too confusing or just too much of an unnecessary task, specifically with keeping up with the Special Roles, they will be altered and/or for better clarity and fluidity.

I think I may have explained as much as I could here without really overloading (unless I have just done too much, and I'm sorry). There were a couple of people that were hoping to see more information. Even for those of you that didn't really ask, I hope that this clarifies a lot of stuff for you. I'm thinking I may post the profiles of the characters that I would have to give even more of an idea but I'll see about that. That would be the next blog post I would post about this.
