Some things here kinda

this is just a vent about things I've noticed here that are bull tbh

  1. People acting all sad that a roleplay isn't doing well but not helping to advertise it. "It's such a shame this place could be so good if there were more people" *doesnt even post a quick journal with a link* (tempted to have an ad service for people that need help with advertising especially if they're a solo admin with no mods)
  2. People acting as though they ain't face/userchasers but then only ever interact with that face/user despite being in a group rp
  3. Peoppe complaining about their being no creativity but also not joining any rooeplays other than the ones their friends make. There are creative rps, your faves just aren't the ones making them
  4. People posting a public blog about someone but then refusing to name them. Yes start a witch-hunt for people to go around and try to work out who it is, isolating complete innocents in the process
  5. Nonaus being more oocrp than nonau - if your face doesn't have a sibling, they don't have a sibling in a nonau. Stop projecting. If you want to do that go to an au
  6. Nonaus that are pretty much carbon copies but claim to have different vibes. How can the vibes be different when it's almost the exact same people with almost the exact same faces as 18 other places. At least change your faces up.
  7. Peoppe ualising idols that are under 19 internationally. In Korea 19 is the age they can at, don't apply laws from your country to them
  8. people acting superior because the play certain faces. You're not better than anyone just because your faces are more popular/more obscure than everyone else
  9. on the other hand shaming people because they have more obscure or more popular muses. They aren't uncreative because they want to play a popular muse and they aren't boring because they want to play a more obscure muse
  10. aus that claim they allow everything everywhere but when you start ing in the pool they ask you to take it to walls or pms
  11. People playing idols and muses that have said publicly that they aren't okay with being rped (park hyemin) or aren't okay with being portrayed a certain way (xiu Akay being played as gay or bi)

aus that claim they allow everything everywhere but when you start ing in the pool they ask you to take it to walls or pms

This one always happens to me. An admin or another person will scream for joy when I offer to join as a darker character known for ing everywhere, even if I have consent from the person I'm roleplaying with I get asked to leave the room...a rated room. Or people whine I'm doing something ual with someone in the rated ic room.

I also seem to join rps where everyone else is close friends so they plot with each other and ooc chat with each other and I'm off to the side ignored so they can plot with their friends using every character they have or talk about their day.

I've only experienced 9 once. I was using Minpha in a cause he's a guy and someone kept talking in ooc about how uncomfortable I make them cause my fc looks too much like a girl.

I have noticed I'll use real stories I've written as roleplay bases. People are interested but leave cause nothing is happening or they can't get a plot they want. Nothing usually happens cause there is four people in the roleplay and I need more to be able to do an event

Can I add another point
Layouts
So many layouts aren’t good for anything other than pc, and scroll functions don’t work, and then so many are also super low contrast which makes it hard to read them when you have vision problems.

Please just test that your layouts are legible from mobile, and don’t use light grey on white. It’s impossible to read

With number 6
I tried really hard to make a different nonau. With a different vibe, keeping it 100% IC, encouraging people to actually roleplay and coming up with creative/different ideas for events.

But in the end, as a main admin, I burnt out pretty soon real quick- and had to close it since it went dead after a week or two after revamping it...

Every person that left the rp, told me how awesome it was and they gave me their best wishes, which I truly appreciate. But when someone makes something different, is really hard for it to work. That’s why every nonau is basically the same as the other 10 that just opened that week.

With point 1. I think people don’t really do that anymore, because it’s usually a requirement to get a second or third character.

I moved here when this site opened waaay back in the day, and if you really liked a rp, you helped the admins with the advertisement. But now, since it’s a requirement for getting more characters, people don’t do it unless they -have- to. Or since they already got their characters and posted one blog, then that’s about it.

These are all valid reasons on why RPR . I would like to add on to number 8 though.
Some people need to stop acting superior and like they "own" a faceclaim especially if their faceclaim comes from a popular group such as BTS, Blackpink, ATEEZ, NCT, Twice, and more. It more than likely makes people feel extremely uncomfortable whenever they join a RP's chatroom and all they see is "Oh I thought [faceclaim's name] was [username]" or "I've never seen someone else roleplay [faceclaim's name]."
