I'm so annoying and probably irritate everyone with the blogs that I make but I just had this idea. Or, well, I was reminded of this idea that I had a long time ago.
So, for starters, I don't know if anyone at all remembers and/or knows about this Tumblr blog that used to... or maybe still does exist. I believe it was dirtykpop... Um... Wait... Hold on. I had to look it up-- So, apparently it's been three years since their last post. The Tumblr blog is KpopDirtyTalk and you would submit your confessiosn and notes and messages and the admins would respond as though they are the artists themselves. I remember submitted two things just for the fun of it and they actually got replies. I thought it was such a cool idea that I even remember applying to be an admin. I didn't get it but I also don't know just how active they really were at the time? That being said, I really wanted to do my own little something like that. I've even considered how it would work for an rp.
All that being said, there's something that I'm interested in trying. I'm not sure how I would do it or how it would work but I'd really like to do it. I'll make something like a little bulleted list to help organize my thoughts and make this eaiser for anyone interested in reading this. (I don't know if anyone else has really had the same idea or what?? I mean, if there's an rp like this maybe where I can join and help do the writing, I don't know. OTL)
1. I want to try doing the responding as different artists/muses. I want to expand my horizons a bit and get better at writing outside of my comfort zone. I'm all for doing research on my muses and all but I also want to be a bit pushed to really looking into new ones or even just channeling a muse for a moment and spilling out how I see them. If that makes sense.
2. I'm not sure how to do submissions or how or where to post them. Part of me initially, like when I first had this idea, wanted to do a Tumblr blog myself, especially after it seemed like that blog wasn't active anymore. Another part of me figured that I could have people send them to me, one way or another, and then compile them and post them sort of like confession letters but fanfic style? Where each chapter is just another letter and another response? And then, while writing this, it came to my mind again about doing it as an rp? Where there's a submission room or something of the sort and then a whole place where they all could be read. The more that I think about this though, the more it seems like it'd be best to maybe do it fanfic style.
3. I was mainly posting this to see if anyone were maybe interested in helping me do something of a test run, where you submit them and then I would answer and post them. Maybe just to start out, I would post them here in a blog as I get them and reply to them? If you'd be interested, please, just let me know in the comments or through a PM would work, too.
Some additional notes:
1. I wouldn't be very restrctive with this. You could be anonymous if you want, where maybe only I know who you are but no one else will when I post it. (That would be up to you.)
2. Even less restrictions: I wouldn't keep it bound to being from you. You could make it as though it's a confession letter or something of the sort from another celebrity. For example: Changkyun sending Wonho a message/letter about how he really wants to hang out with him, how much he misses him or Byuli (Moonbyul) confessing to Wheein about wanting to take her out on a date. If the celebrity were a bit too problematic or something, I'd probably steer clear but I would let you know.
3. Even less restrictions: I absolutely love au, for those that know me, I'm sure you know. So, I think it would be fun to even get submissions such as a school life/uni life au, vampire/human au, ghostbusters/ghost hunters type au, etc. I can't say there are many au genres that I wouldn't try but, if it's really something I'm uncomfortable with, I'd let you know!
4. These could range from being fluffy and innocent to dirty but not explicit (well... give or take...) I just want it to be fun while I explore my writing abilities a bit more.
5. I am still getting settled in a new house and I, thankfully, seem to have gotten a decent grasp on my new added responsibiities for work. Because I have my own room now, there's a lot that I'd really like to try. Like all the things that I've been wanting to do for a long time but just haven't really felt that I've had the space to myself to do it. I just really want to get better (especially mentally) with just doing things that make me happy regardless of what others say. I'm not hurting myself or others in any way with the things that I'd like to do so... yeah..
If you have any ideas on how I could do this or maybe you even want to jump on the project with me, let me know. (It might also help to have someone keep me grounded and focused. How does one actually take care of themselves on a daily basis?) I give so much credit to KpopDirtyTalk (and any other blog and all that's done/is doing something similar) because I think, as a fan, it's just a really fun way to just voice your thoughts and see what others may be thinking. We're adults (a good amount of us are legal anyway) so sometimes we get a little pent up in our imagination and thoughts and all and I think it'd be a safe space to just kind of let it out without being disrespectful and disgusting? We've all see that happen at some point. I don't think I would necessarily restrict this to Kpop but FOR NOW I will. Until I get a hold on how to work this. Plus, if you guys help me out and give me submissions, it'll also give you all a chance to see my writing and what I mean and maybe submit more if you want. If it seems like there's enough interest, I think I'll put together something like a form of sort for when you submit so that it'll make it more organized and you can get all the information in that you want. I'm modeling this after KDT, so I would suggest going to take a look at some of what they've done in the past to get an idea as to what I mean.
