Hi guys, so I'm fairly new to rping and I was just wondering the difference between Para, Novella & Script. Specifically script is what I'm confused on. If anyone could give me an example, I'd be grateful

Script is the roleplaying style where people tend to use asterisks
For example

I more or less agree with the two comments below but in my opinion, there’s another type length in between para and novella which is multi-para. For me, I consider one paragraph replies to be ‘para’, two to three paragraph replies as ‘multi-para’ and novella is four+ paragraphs per reply.

but also:
— script is usually associated with first and second person pov (I/me/you/your)
— para / multi para / novella is generally in the third person pov (she/her/him/his/it)

Para= about 6 or so lines but with description
Novella = about 3 or or 4 paragraphs , sometimes takes up half a page in writing .. intimidating when you first see it
Script I’m not too sure : but maybe something like this

I tried to help but I think there’s def people out there who is better to explain it

But honestly though, if you see novella , don’t let it scare you away
Also welcome to the rp world bud
