Hello,

I'm fairly new to this website and needed some help adjusting. If anyone could give me some pointers as to:

  • how to navigate rps?
  • are there any terms I should know?
  • how does applying to an rp here work?
  • any coding specifics?
  • any specifics on making character profiles?
  • anything I should know about the way people normally interact here (good or bad)?
  • just overall help for someone starting out on this website

I've been part of different rps before, but not on this website. As for my writing style, I'm usually a semi-advanced writer. However, I'm not sure how that would translate to this website. If anyone could be a friend and help me out here, I'd be super grateful.

I'm also open to doing rps and making some friends! Just let me know.

Thanks for reading~

As they told you before. You navigate clicking on "tags" and looking or typing for the rp you are looking for (, yuri, nonau, au, etc) or in the "roleplays" section.

Every roleplay has specifics on how to join. When clicking on a roleplay, it opens the main page of the roleplay, there you can find a little introduction about the roleplay and what is about. The rules for the roleplay. And the application to join. (It might be some other things as the day the opened, events, featured members, etc.)

It is important to read everything on it. As everything on how to apply is there and its different for every roleplay.

In most of them, they will require for you to 1) favorite the roleplay (clicking the little heart at the top of the roleplay). 2) write the name of the face claim you wish to roleplay.

Most roleplays here are idol-based. So they accept members from kpop groups, models, actors actresses. If you wish to join with your own Original Chatacters, you will have to look for those specific type of roleplays. As these idol-roleplays usually dont take Original Characters.

If you ar on mobile, make sure to scroll through every little section of the main layout of the rp, as most of them are scrollable and may have hidden sections jdjdjdjdjzjs.

But if you still dont know how it works or cant find or understand the application process. You can always comment in the comment section of the roleplay, asking help from an admin.

Once you have asked for your desire face claim, the character will be added to the "masterlist" tab of the roleplay. You click the name on "apply" and fill in the application, send it and wait for an admin to accept you.

As for roleplaying style. You will see that not many use indicators for the actions ** -- //
But it depends on the person.
Most is done in short sentences. In first point of view. "Hi! Welcome to the rp. *hands you a cupcake* let me know if you need anything" (for example.)

But it also depends on the type of roleplay you're looking for since Alternate Universe roleplays tend to have role players that write longer and more detailed, usually in 3rd person.

1- you can just click on the roleplays tab and you can see which ones have been recently active, or the newly opened ones, you can also click on browse topics and choose a tag for something you want and see which rps apply to that tag. most times people make blogs about rps so you can check those out too.
2- I think since you've rped before there aren't really any specific terms to just rpr, as far as I know.
3- to apply, you always read the rules of the place first (it's usually in the main profile for the place and not in the rules tab) and then you ask for the chara you want according to how the place said you should ask (if they didn't say anything just say "choi yeonjun please" as an example) once they add your character, go to masterlist and hit the apply thing under the character you wanted's name, and apply according to what's in the rules.
4- I'm not really knowledgeable on coding
5- nah, unless the rp put certain specifications
6- just be careful of cliques and user/face chasing, it happens a lot here even though the admins try to prevent it.
7- just have fun and don't be toxic ^^ also I don't think there is a term called semi- advanced writer, for writing style we usually say 1st pov detailed, 3rd pov detailed, para, semi-para, novella...etc
hope this helped

I'm sure you can find all the answers to most of your questions on the FAQ page (scroll to the bottom of the website and you can find it)
