Help me with my study!

I’d try to help but my friends and I have all agreed that we ourselves are pretty uncool and therefore can’t really say anything is uncool

I think that’s a pretty interesting topic. Mostly because while thinking about it the things that come to mind are things that I do and my friends all do as well. Things we would tell you aren’t cool but are still done and accepted.
Maybe because uncool doesn’t really mean taboo more just embarrassing (for us at least.)
So things like TikTok or social media. A lot of people my age (late 20s) will tell you that it’s uncool but yet we have one. I know plenty of my friends who have social media to watch and look at things but don’t participate in posting because it isn’t seen as cool.
Similar to trivial things like sets that don’t match. Cookware, bedroom furniture, other things.
For myself and the people I know we grew up with grandparents and parents who didn’t have matching furniture or really anything in the house that matched. We were never financially in that position to do so. So we grew up with hand me downs and sale items and so on and it worked but with the rise in popularity of home decor shows it’s really seen as uncool. I think it’s uncool but it’s what I have and it’s uncool for me but if someone else has mismatched items it looks eclectic.

Gonna help you with ur study but I’ve been sitting here for like fifteen minutes trying to think about what I find uncool, there’s a lot lol and some of those things might be controversial

Do you need/want qualitative like explanations on why or do you just want quantitative with the individual things for you thesis?
