hi, just a dump because i can't exactly organize my thoughts right now do forgive me! by no means are any of these concepts originally mine, some are inspired by franchises or some are similar ideas from older roleplayers that have existed on rpr that i have not seen in a while/are not as popular anymore and i would love to see around. i can't really make one due to lack of time, lack of preparedness and the fear that 8/10 aus now tend to die down quickly since most of us are heckin' busy or the concept doesn't interest others the same way it might interest me, but that's why i'm just dumping these here and maybe someone will have a spark of inspiration? : D also would love if they were oc roleplays as long as the names are appropriate to the fc's ethnicity and their culture! ps: sorry for any typos i typed this in a bit of a rush!
⇢ zodiac / fruits basket inspired: could be matchmaking (based on the same zodiac, or maybe not a romantic matchmaking but something platonic like an apartment complex), could be a city or small town au, either modern day or set in the 90s or early 2000s, and i think it would be better if the members that are possessed by the zodiacs aren't exactly aware of it yet, or related by family but they all experience some sort of like weird phenomena.
⇢ fairy tale & social media inspired: where characters could be direct descendant of a disney character (i say disney to keep it short but any fairy tale will do tbh the sky is the limit) and although set in a fictional modern day city, they could be youtubers/streamers/influencers each with their own style but in a way that still relates somehow to their origins? the other idea is that instead of being the child or relative of the character they're the character themselves (so sort of like that tv show once upon a time which i have never seen but know the general gist thanks to many rps inspired by it lol) but maybe they were the character in a past life but are still influenced by their former life/experiences and now they're y'know youtube stars idk. i really like social media inspired ausbecause i like to make little edits on canva and
⇢ soulmate inspired: last month i was reading a lot of cute soulmate prompts on tumblr but it'd be fun to have one where like the first word/phrase you ever say to your soulmate is tattooed on you. you can either plot it out with your partner or to keep things realistic the admins can assign you a random phrase or something. or maybe it can be like a your name/freaky friday thing where you kind of switch bodies for a day or a few hours because that'd be chaotic and fun. this one its a c&p from a tumblr post but basically "where characters A and B are both assassins and are hired to kill each other, they both use seduction as their main tactic" again, chaos >:D ot this other idea for you angst enthusiast "multiple soulmate AU where the world is grey (and that’s okay!!), but each time you meet one of your romantic/platonic soulmates, a new color is added into your life"and maybe when a soulmate dies/leaves you then you can no longer see that color or it turns back to grey/black-
⇢ the cliques: high school? university? society? bring back the clIQUE AUS, the good ol' mean girls clique, i live for it. that's it that's the post.
⇢ rivals: back in early rpr we had tons of these little aus whether it was like one family versus another, an office, company. some good ol' rivalry to bring someone else down and become the top dog. or honestly an office au where maybe you give us a resume and rather than applying for a position you're assigned one and you have to make your way up towards the corporate ladder, or not tbh. idk. you know what i mean.
