so, I've had a bad moment with someone on here and I have been struggling to disconnect their character with themselves. whenever I think of the character they were, I start to think of them and the past kind of just circles in my brain. plus, this happened in a nonau where things are usually more personal than in an au. I was wondering if anybody has been through this or just has advice of how to separate the user from the face. it sometimes makes it hard to watch some content of the character because all I can think about is the negatives that I expirenced

i feel you... i'm not into kpop so i get to know many of the idols through rpr and end up connecting the face/name very strongly to how they're portrayed here. there's a certain fc that still kinda irks me because of that... but it does weaken with time, just tell yourself the real idol has nothing to do with the person who you had problems with every time you come across their pictures. watching interviews as someone else mentioned seems like good advice, you'll notice the personalities don't match and construct a different perspective about the face.

I usually can separate people from their muses because roleplay is technically not real .
I only struggle if the personalities match up to a certain extent .

honestly only time can tell. some of these negative feelings may only fade with time? or u just kinda accept it and move on w it, knowing u wont really have to face that fc irl anyway HAHAHAH (that last bit is oddly specific but ion really meet celebs ig) hope u can get over it tho buddy! this honestly

I know what you mean but I don’t really have advice. I just watched some interviews or so of that face which showed me that in rl they are completely different
