quick update (living on the edge)

Ian (the hurricane) was a and knocked out my power last night. It's currently almost 10am and we still don't have power, which tbh usually it's back by now based on past experiences. So, I have no idea when it's gonna come back. As I'm typing this, my iPad is at 2% and my phone is at 15% and my laptop drains so quickly cuz it's a hag so I'm not even bothering to turn it on and try and use it jdbdjfnfn

now I will say that we've ordered a bunch of like power banks (we tried to order a power source too but everyone was smarter than us and got them before the storm so the earliest we'd be able to get one is Oct 4 which defeats the purpose of having it now). But we have no way of knowing how much charge these banks will have when they get to us so they might not give us much to work with. So if y'all don't see me around for a few days that's why. Now I will say that they're usually pretty fast at getting the power lines back up and running, like I said usually the power is back by now since they usually get it back within a few hours but we're going on at least 12 at this point. But other than the power there hasn't been any issues. I live in an apartment not a house and it's on the 3rd floor so there's no risk of like flooding or anything like that. We had to buy a camping stove to cook with since our stove is electric but other than that we're perfectly fine so for those who care you don't have to be worried. It's also 56 degrees (about 13 for my Celsius friends) so it's relatively cool which means I'm not suffering too much from lack of a/c. I'll be back as soon as the power is back too.

tl;dr: hurricane Ian (which got downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it hit me) knocked out my power and all my devices are dying so if I'm not around for a few days that's why.
