Seeing people talk about how they miss how roleplaying here on RPR used to be, including myself, I've gotten curious and wanted to try something.
I haven't actually seen anything like a prison RP or anything of that nature. Granted, most of the role plays that I join or have joined have been through word of mouth. I don't typically go looking so. There's that.
Anyway. I've been calling it like a social experiment in my head because I was considering revamping and actually opening up the rp I had where the theme constantly changed. It would force you to think out of the box. BUT I just got an idea about something like a prison-themed roleplay. I was going to have it as a male-only, but only with the prisoners. The guards, warden, visitors, etc. could be women. It's not a /BL roleplay. Just a prison with only male inmates. I was thinking, if response was well, I would allow/open a female inmate wing. There would be different yards and cells of course but I'd open up opportunities where everyone could mingle. Maybe like the cafeteria and maybe a uni yard that was just heavily supervised. I don't know. Throwing things out there.
The main point of this would be to allow us writers to really roleplay mature content that isn't strictly -based. It would be your "bad" characters and their road to redemption. I say that lightly. It's not forced. Some people may not want their characters fully rehabilitated while some may just play the part for their freedom. I just feel like something like this could really open up strong character and story building.
I haven't decided if it would strictly be here or somewhere else. I would kind of like to do it here, to be able to play with RPR's amazing roleplay features again but I'd be open to having one based or just connected to it elsewhere. Such as a discord channel that holds the ooc and ic chat so that they're not in the roleplay at all and people can choose whether or not they want to engage that way. Maybe that would be a turnaround for things, too. All OOC stuff not even being listed in the rp but it being somewhere else.
Anyway. Would anyone be interested? Or does anyone have suggestions? I'm open! ^^
