or alternatively, despite the low chances, you could marry someone rich teehee

through a sleepless night and many impulsive decisions, i decided to take a shot at joining. and  before i introduce the losers i'll be bringing into the mix, let me give you a few reasons to join ilhwa as someone who hasn't even stepped foot in yet lol.

1. to try something new or as a challenge to better your writing, if that's something you're interested in doing. like i can't speak joseonspere to save my life so i'm shaking in my boots at the mere thought of it, but it seems fun so why not.
2. you can admire other people's pretty profiles and amazing writing. one of the primary factors as to why i join aus in the first place lmao
3. interact, plot and connect with other users which considerably helps you out in doing the first one i listed out. or just for the sake of socialising.

anyways those are my few reasons, but i'm sure there's plenty of other factors to join which have been listed by other blogs, by those who are in the rp already so take their word for it not mine nsjdhd

and here are the losers:
*calling them as such since they're both situated in the lower classes, so it's only fair

jang dasol.
twenty two, sangmin class, painter.
from a family of merchants and due to her father's constant travels, dasol and her siblings are the ones left behind to sell the goods their father brings. although she spends most of the time sketching scenes and people that catches her eye in the marketplace.
potential connections:
siblings, regular customers, friends, a new muse for her to sketch.

kwon haru.
twenty two, cheonmin class, bandit.
abandoned by her mother, haru was taken in by bandits who raised her to fight and steal. many perceive her as unassuming due to her petite frame and the bright personality she displays, but as they say never judge a book by its cover.
potential connections:
a traveller who previously encountered haru in another city, friends, fellow bandits.

so yeah ... maybe all they want are friends :'/
BONUS. here are a few character ideas i've had in mind but will never see the day of light if it was left up to me so you're more than welcome to expand on these or create entirely new ones based on them.
also disclaimer !! i don't know how realistic these ideas are based on the setting given or whether they're viable to be used in general, so don't be afraid to consult the admin team prior < 3

CHARACTER IDEAS.

• a daughter hailing from a family line of renowned physiognomy experts, known for assisting many influential families in finding suitable partners for their children. it's now some sort of match-making business that's been thriving, however with her desire of not wanting to marry and her willingness to be considered a spinster, her family's forced her to partake in the social season; to be married as soon as possible, all to avoid tainting the family's reputation.

• a traveller visiting hanseong for other factors which coincidentally falls during the social season. despite having no [initial] interest in joining, finds themselves unknowingly / reluctantly partaking in the events, potentially becoming swept up into a scandal.

• a writer perceived as eccentric and nosy by those around them as they seem to want to know about other people's business and constantly asks questions. seen regularly with an inked brush in their hand, scribbling on paper, some have begun to suspect them as the infamous mugunghwa manim .... when in reality, the reason for their particular behaviour is to better their craft in story telling and generate ideas for their writing.

anyways that's all i have LOL

join ilhwa !!
