despite being on rpr for over 10 years, i feel like i've always struggled making connections? i'm just not someone who can easily form connections ooc, i have a busy life. the userbase here ain't even that big; there's like MAYBE 200-500 (being generous) active monthly users and a lot of them tend to stay within their rp niches, which is fine, everyone has preferences.
but a lot also tend to move with their friend circles. which a bit more? idk, i always feel a little bit like an outsider when i join new places and there's always some ooc drama behind the scenes on this site. the userbase hasn't grown in years and the site is hard to use, the users don't make it better when people ARE new to the site. so you join an rp and see the same 20 users and you either know you'll fit in fine, or you'll feel left out.
idk maybe my experiences aren't universal! i'm just some gal, after all LMAO
